1H, 13C and 15N NMR spectral analysis of substituted 1,2,3,4‐tetrahydro‐pyrido[1,2‐a]pyrimidines

The NMR spectroscopic data of a series of thirty‐four 3‐acylpyrido[1,2‐a]pyrimidinium salts are analyzed, which were prepared as either perchlorates or chlorides. Methyl group substituted 3‐aroyltetrahydropyrido[1,2‐a]pyrimidines with the methyl substituent in positions 6, 8 and 9 as well as both in positions 6 and 8 were investigated bearing various aroyl substituents. Unequivocal assignment of all resonances was achieved via two‐dimensional ¹H,¹H‐COSY measurements, ¹H,¹³C and ¹H,¹⁵N HSQC as well as HMBC experiments, and important diagnostic CH and NH couplings in the heteroaromatic ring system are evaluated. The influence of the methyl substituents was analyzed on the proton, carbon and nitrogen shifts. A significant effect of the counter ion on some chemical shifts of the nuclei under discussion of the pyridopyrimidines is found, allowing the indirect detection of the anion, which is confirmed by direct measurement of the ³⁵Cl nucleus of the perchlorates. Solvatochromic Solvent Polarity Measurements In Analytical Chemistry: Synthesiss And Applications Of Et-30

Abstract

The E_T(30) scale of solvent polarity has been shown to be useful in examining many diverse analytical processes. It is based on the charge transfer absorption of 2,6-diphenyl-4-(2,4,6-triphenyl-N-pyridinio)phenolate (referred to as ET-30 in this paper). Unfortunately, use of the E_T(30) scale has been hindered by (a) the lack of a commercial source of the ET-30 dye and (b) the lack of an English language synthetic procedure. Here we discuss recent applications of the E_T(30) scale to analytical techniques, as well as a simplified procedure for the synthesis of ET-30.     

A borel-weil-bott approach to representations of sl q (2, ℂ)

We use a quite concrete and simple realization of sl _q (2, ) involving finite difference operators. We interpret them as derivations (in the noncommutative sense) on a suitable graded algebra, which gives rise to the noncommutative scheme ¹ II ^1* as the counterpart of the standard ¹ = Sl(2, )/B.     

Integrable Hamiltonian systems related to the Hilbert–Schmidt ideal

By the application of the coinduction method as well as the Magri method to the ideal of real Hilbert–Schmidt operators we construct the hierarchies of integrable Hamiltonian systems on Banach Lie–Poisson spaces which consist of such types of operators. We also discuss their algebraic and analytic properties and solve them in dimensions, N=2,3,4$N=2,3,4$.     

Tropical Weyl Group Action via Point Configurations and τ-Functions of the q-Painlevé Equations

Starting from certain point sets in the projective plane, we construct a tropical (or subtraction-free birational) representation of Weyl groups over the field of τ-functions. In particular, our construction includes E ₈ ⁽¹⁾ , E ₇ ⁽¹⁾ , E ₆ ⁽¹⁾ and D ₅ ⁽¹⁾ as affine cases; each of them gives rise to the q-difference Painlevé equation.

Fermionic stochastic differential equations and the index of Fredholm operators

The index of a Fredholm operator associated to a-summable Fredholm module is expressed in terms of the vacuum expectation value of a unitary operator-valued stochastic process which satisfies a stochastic differential equation with unbounded coefficients driven by fermion noise.     

Quasi-classical limit of Toda hierarchy andW-infinity symmetries

Previous results on quasi-classical limit of the KP hierarchy and itsW-infinity symmetries are extended to the Toda hierarchy. The Planck constant now emerges as the spacing unit of difference operators in the Lax formalism. Basic notions, such as dressing operators, Baker-Akhiezer functions, and tau function, are redefined.W _{1 +} symmetries of the Toda hierarchy are realized by suitable rescaling of the Date-Jimbo-Kashiara-Miwa vertex operators. These symmetries are contracted tow _{1 +} symmetries of the dispersionless hierarchy through their action on the tau function.     

Inhomogeneous quantum groups and their quantized universal enveloping algebras

The quantum group IGL _q (N), the inhomogenization of GL _q (N), is formulated with -matrices. Theq-deformed universal enveloping algebra is constructed as the algebra of regular functionals in this formulation and contains the partial derivatives of the covariant differential calculus on the quantum space.
