In this paper, we extend the two-level Schwarz method to solve the variational inequality problems with nonlinear source terms, and establish a convergence theorem. We consider one-way classification model in experimental design when the errors have generalized secant hyperbolic distribution. We obtain efficient and robust estimators for block effects by using the modified maximum likelihood estimation (MML) methodology. A test statistic analogous to the normal-theory F statistic is defined to test block effects. We also define a test statistic for testing linear contrasts. It is shown that test statistics based on MML estimators are efficient and robust. The methodology readily extends to unbalanced designs. 相似文献

We present five new cubature formula in the triangle and square for exact integration of polynomials. The points were computed numerically with a cardinal function algorithm which does not impose any symmetry requirements on the points. Cubature formula are presented which integrate degrees 10, 11 and 12 in the triangle and degrees 10 and 12 in the square. Lie group method is investigated for solving the problem of heat transfer in an unsteady, three-dimensional, laminar, boundary-layer flow of a viscous, incompressible and electrically conducting fluid over inclined permeable surface embedded in porous medium in the presence of a uniform magnetic field and heat generation/absorption effects. A uniform magnetic field is applied in the y-direction and a generalized flow model is presented to include the effects of the macroscopic viscous term and the microscopic permeability of porous medium. The infinitesimal generators accepted by the equations are calculated and the extension of the Lie algebra for the problem is also presented. The restrictions imposed by the boundary conditions on the generators are calculated. The investigation of the three-independent-variable partial differential equations is converted into a two-independent-variable system by using one subgroup of the general group. The resulting equations are solved numerically with the perturbation solution for various times. Velocity, temperature and pressure profiles, surface shear stresses, and wall-heat transfer rate are discussed for various values of Prandtl number, Hartmann number, Darcy number, heat generation/absorption coefficient, and surface mass-transfer coefficient. 相似文献

Solutions for the fully compressible Navier–Stokes equations are presented for the flow and temperature fields in a cubic cavity with large horizontal temperature differences. The ideal-gas approximation for air is assumed and viscosity is computed using Sutherland's law. The three-dimensional case forms an extension of previous studies performed on a two-dimensional square cavity. The influence of imposed boundary conditions in the third dimension is investigated as a numerical experiment. Comparison is made between convergence rates in case of periodic and free-slip boundary conditions. Results with no-slip boundary conditions are presented as well. In this paper we analyse a method for triangulating the sphere originally proposed by Baumgardner and Frederickson in 1985. The method is essentially a refinement procedure for arbitrary spherical triangles that fit into a hemisphere. Refinement is carried out by dividing each triangle into four by introducing the midpoints of the edges as new vertices and connecting them in the usual ‘red’ way. We show that this process can be described by a sequence of piecewise smooth mappings from a reference triangle onto the spherical triangle. We then prove that the whole sequence of mappings is uniformly bi-Lipschitz and converges uniformly to a non-smooth parameterization of the spherical triangle, recovering the Baumgardner and Frederickson spherical barycentric coordinates. We also prove that the sequence of triangulations is quasi-uniform, that is, areas of triangles and lengths of the edges are roughly the same at each refinement level.
