We give a formula computing the number of one-nodal rational curves that pass through an appropriate collection of constraints in a complex projective space. The familiar equivalence between σ-frames and σ-coherent frames, given by the frame envelopes of σ-frames, is shown to induce an equivalence between stably continuous σ-frames and stably continuous frames. Similarly, the analogue of the former for σ-biframes is proved to provide an equivalence between compact regular σ-biframes and compact regular biframes. As an application we obtain the equivalence between stably continuous σ-frames and compact regular σ-biframes due to Matutu as an easy consequence of its frame counterpart established earlier by Banaschewski and Brümmer. We present here an improved version of the method introduced by the first author to derive pointwise gradient estimates for the solutions of one-dimensional parabolic problems. After considering a general qualinear equation in divergence form we apply the method to the case of a nonlinear diffusion-convection equation. The conclusions are stated first for classical solutions and then for generalized and mild solutions. In the case of unbounded initial datum we obtain several regularizing effects for t > 0. Some unilateral pointwise gradient estimates are also obtained. The case of the Dirichlet problem is also considered. Finally, we collect, in the last section, several comments showing the connections among these estimates and the study of the free boundaries associated to the solutions of the diffusion-convection equation.  相似文献

We prove the global existence of weak solutions of the Navier–Stokes equations of compressible flow in a half-space with the boundary condition proposed by Navier: the velocity on the boundary is proportional to the tangential component of the stress. This boundary condition allows for the determination of the scalar function in the Helmholtz decomposition of the acceleration density, which in turn is crucial in obtaining pointwise bounds for the density. Initial data and solutions are small in energy-norm with nonnegative densities having arbitrarily large sup-norm. These results generalize previous results for solutions in the whole space and are the first for solutions in this intermediate regularity class in a region with a boundary.  相似文献
