Multilinear interpolation is a powerful tool used in obtaining strong-type boundedness for a variety of operators assuming only a finite set of restricted weak-type estimates. A typical situation occurs when one knows that a multilinear operator satisfies a weak Lq estimate for a single index q (which may be less than one) and that all the adjoints of the multilinear operator are of similar nature, and thus they also satisfy the same weak Lq estimate. Under this assumption, in this note we give a general multilinear interpolation theorem which allows one to obtain strong-type boundedness for the operator (and all of its adjoints) for a large set of exponents. The key point in the applications we discuss is that the interpolation theorem can handle the case q?1. When q>1, weak Lq has a predual, and such strong-type boundedness can be easily obtained by duality and multilinear interpolation (cf. Motivated by recent results of Stanley, we generalize the rank of a partition λ to the rank of a shifted partition S(λ). We show that the number of bars required in a minimal bar tableau of S(λ) is max(o, e + (ℓ(λ) mod 2)), where o and e are the number of odd and even rows of λ. As a consequence we show that the irreducible projective characters of Sn vanish on certain conjugacy classes. The ρ-T curves in our single phase HgBa2Ca2Cu3O8+δ superconductor were measured as a function of temperature and magnetic field, ρ=ρ0exp(−Ueff/κBT). It can be transformed to another form d(lnρ)/d(1/T)=−Ueff+TdUeff/dT, then this becomes a plot of the activation energy Ueff as a function of temperature. Our data plotted in these ways show a clear crossover from high-temperature two-dimensional vortex-liquid to a critical region associated with the low-temperature three-dimensional vortex-glass phase transition. The critical exponents v(z−1)=3.9±1.9 in this system are little different with previous measurements in BSCCO and YBCO systems. 相似文献

Modifying complex plane rotations, we derive a new Jacobi-type algorithm for the Hermitian eigendecomposition, which uses only real arithmetic. When the fast-scaled rotations are incorporated, the new algorithm brings a substantial reduction in computational costs. The new method has the same convergence properties and parallelism as the symmetric Jacobi algorithm. Summary. We use the qualitative properties of the solution flow of the gradient equation to compute a local minimum of a real-valued function . Under the regularity assumption of all equilibria we show a convergence result for bounded trajectories of a consistent,
strictly stable linear multistep method applied to the gradient equation. Moreover, we compare the asymptotic features of
the numerical and the exact solutions as done by Humphries, Stuart (1994) and Schropp (1995) for one-step methods. In the
