In a category with injective hulls and a cogenerator, the embeddings into injective hulls can never form a natural transformation, unless all objects are injective. In particular, assigning to a field its algebraic closure, to a poset or Boolean algebra its Mac-Neille completion, and to an R-module its injective envelope is not functorial, if one wants the respective embeddings to form a natural transformation. For M?bius planes Schaeffer [9] has proved that all seven point degenerations of Miquel's Theorem characterize miquelian M?bius planes. For Laguerre planes we have several degenerations of Miquel's Theorem with eight and seven points. We prove that all except one of these degenerations characterize miquelian Laguerre planes. We prove the existence of positive symmetric solutions to the semilinear elliptic problem
in both the radial case N = k ≥ 3 and the cylindrical case N ≥ k + 3 ≥ 6. The potential V is measurable, positive and it is only required to satisfy a mild integrability condition. The nonlinearity is continuous and has a doublepower behavior, super-critical near the origin and sub-critical at infinity. If f is odd, we show that the radial problem has infinitely many solutions. In proving these results we exploit the compactness of suitable restrictions of the embedding Supported by MIUR, project “Variational Methods and Nonlinear Differential Equations”.  相似文献

We deal with a Riemannian manifoldM carrying a pair of skew symmetric conformal vector fields (X, Y). The existence of such a pairing is determined by an exterior differential system in involution (in the sense of Cartan). In this case,M is foliated by 3-dimensional totally geodesic submanifolds. We generalize the classical Terracini’s Lemma to higher order osculating spaces to secant varieties. We introduce a notion ofq-analogue of the perfect numbers. We also define a new zeta function which we call a zeta function ofq-perfect numbers. In this paper we compute the line integral of a complex function on a rectifiable cycle homologous to zero obtaining a Green’s formula with multiplicities that involves the of the function and the index of the cycle. We consider this formula in several settings and we obtain a sharp version in terms of the Lebesgue integrability properties of the partial derivatives of the function. This result depends on the proven fact that the index of a rectifiable cycle is square integrable with respect to the planar Lebesgue measure. We characterize the relation between the geometrical properties of Weyl manifolds and the algebraic properties of the Weyl algebras (§1) and the deformation algebras associated to two conformal Weyl connections (§2).
