PRME AND k-PRIME IDEALS IN Ω-GROUPS

Abstract

In this paper we define two concepts of prime ideals for Ω-groups. The first generalizes the definitions of prime ideal in rings, nearrings, Γ-rings, associative algebras and Lie algebras. The second generalizes a concept defined for groups by ??ukin ([21]). We show that both lead to radicals in the sense of Hoehnke ([10]). Furthermore in the case of rings, Γ-rings, abelian zero-symmetric nearrings and cubic rings these two definitions coincide, thus obtaining a new characterization for the prime ideal. Zero-symmetric Ω-groups are defined analogously to the nearring case and a new characterization in term of ideals is given.     

Toward the natural didemnaketal A: total synthesis of the isomer of didemnaketal A

The total synthesis of isomer of didemnaketal A was achieved in 26 steps. The position of esters is switched at C7 and C8 with respect to their proposed position in natural didemnaketal A, which shows potent anti-HIV activity but so far has not been synthesized in the laboratory. Structural analysis of synthetic isomer of didemnaketal A indicates that the esters at C7 and C8 are correctly assigned, suggesting that the problems for the structural reassignment of natural didemnaketal A lie elsewhere.     

Rational wavelets on the real line

In this note a representation of the discrete Green's function of a compact discretization of a two point boundary value problem of order n 2 is given which among other things allows a direct proff of the convergence (and divergence) properties.     

Generalized matching theorems for closed coverings of convex sets

In this paper we use fixed point and coincidence theorems due to Park [8] to give matching theorems concerning closed coverings of nonempty convex sets in a real topological vector space. Our new results extend previously given ones due to Ky Fan [2], [3], Shih [10], Shih and Tan [11], and Park [7].     

Explicit uniform bounds on integrals of Bessel functions and trace theorems for Fourier transforms

Explicit and partly sharp estimates are given of integrals over the square of Bessel functions with an integrable weight which can be singular at the origin. They are uniform with respect to the order of the Bessel functions and provide explicit bounds for some smoothing estimates as well as for the L² restrictions of Fourier transforms onto spheres in which are independent of the radius of the sphere. For more special weights these restrictions are shown to be Hölder continuous with a Hölder constant having this independence as well. To illustrate the use of these results a uniform resolvent estimate of the free Dirac operator with mass in dimensions is derived.     

Well‐posedness of fractional integro‐differential equations in vector‐valued functional spaces

We study the well‐posedness of the fractional differential equations with infinite delay on Lebesgue–Bochner spaces and Besov spaces , where A and B are closed linear operators on a Banach space X satisfying ,  and . Under suitable assumptions on the kernels a and b, we completely characterize the well‐posedness of in the above vector‐valued function spaces on by using known operator‐valued Fourier multiplier theorems. We also give concrete examples where our abstract results may be applied.     

Errata and addendum to “On the prime geodesic theorem for hyperbolic ‐manifolds” Math. Nachr. 291 (2018), no. 14–15, 2160–2167

We correct the exponent in the error term of the prime geodesic theorem for hyperbolic 3‐manifolds 1 and in Park's theorem for higher dimensions [ 3 , 2 ].     

A new first-principles approach for the catenary

This paper reports on findings relating to catenaries since the publication in Expositiones Mathematicae of Denzler and Hinz’s pioneering 1999 paper, Catenaria Vera – the True Catenary. New governing differential equations and explicit solutions are derived for the catenary in positive and negative radial potentials with physical constants incorporated in the derivations. In keeping with precedent by Denzler and Hinz, a measure of historical perspective is offered as homage to Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz, Christiaan Huygens and Johann Bernoulli, the original first-solvers of the catenary.
