The convolution-type Gurtin variational principle is known as the only variational principle that is, from the mathematics point of view, totally equivalent to the initial value problem system. In this paper, the equation of motion of rectangular thin plates is first transformed to a new governing equation containing initial conditions by using a convolution method. A convolution-type semi-analytical DQ approach, which involves differential quadrature (DQ) approximation in the space domain and an analytical series expansion in the time domain, is proposed to obtain the transient response solution. This approach offers the same advantages as the Gurtin variational principle and, at the same time, is much simpler in calculation. Numerical results show that it is very accurate yet computationally efficient for the dynamic response of plates. 相似文献

In this paper, we study the extremals of the curvature energy actions on non-null curves in the four-dimensional Lorentz-Minkowski space. We derive the motion equations and find three Killing fields along the generalized elastic curves. To better understand the multiphase fluid dynamics and associated transport processes of cavitating flows at the capillary number of 0.74 and 0.54, and to validate the numerical results, a combined computational and experimental investigation of flows around a hydrofoil is studied based on flow visualizations and time-resolved interface movement. The computational model is based on a modified RNG k-ε model as turbulence closure, along with a vapor-liquid mass transfer model for treating the cavitation process. Overall, favorable agreement between the numerical and experimental results is observed. It is shown that the cavi- tation structure depends on the interaction of the water-vapor mixture and the vapor among the whole cavitation stage, the interface between the vapor and the two-phase mixture exhibits substantial unsteadiness. And, the adverse motion of the interface relates to pressure and velocity fluctuations inside the cavity. In particular, the velocity in the vapor region is lower than that in the two-phase region. 相似文献

在南航3m低速风洞内,利用一套两自由度动态试验机构,通过测力实验研究了某飞机模型静态和俯仰动态过程中大迎角下的横侧向气动特性,分析比较了在模型头部加上扰动片后,对横侧向气动特性产生的影响.研究结果表明,模型在静态大迎角下会产生较大的侧向力和偏航力矩,而模型的快速上仰过程则进一步加剧了模型头部流动的非对称性,在大迎角下产生较大的偏航力矩迟滞环;当在模型头部加扰动片后,不论是静态过程还是动态过程,都使得模型的侧向力和偏航力矩减小,从而改善了俯仰运动过程中大迎角下的横侧向气动特性. 相似文献

In this study, a slightly curved Euler Bernoulli beam carrying a concentrated mass was handled. The beam was resting on an elastic foundation and simply supported at both ends. Effects of the concentrated mass on nonlin- ear vibrations were investigated. Sinusoidal and parabolic type functions were used as curvature functions. Equations of motion have cubic nonlinearities because of elongations during vibrations. Damping and harmonic excitation terms were added to the equations of motion. Method of mul- tiple scales, a perturbation technique, was used for solving integro-differential equation analytically. Natural frequen- cies were calculated exactly for different mass ratios, mass locations, curvature functions, and linear elastic foundation coefficients. Amplitude-phase modulation equations were found by considering primary resonance case. Effects of nonlinear terms on natural frequencies were calculated. Frequency-amplitude and frequency-response graphs were plotted. Finally effects of concentrated mass and chosen curvature function on nonlinear vibrations were investigated. 相似文献

A kinetic model of the piecewise-linear nonlinear suspension system that consists of a dominant spring and an assistant spring is established. Bifurcation of the resonance solution to a suspension system with two degrees of freedom is investigated with the singularity theory. Transition sets of the system and 40 groups of bifurcation diagrams are obtained. The local bifurcation is found, and shows the overall character- istics of bifurcation. Based on the. relationship between parameters and the topological bifurcation solutions, motion characteristics with different parameters are obtained. The problem of nonlinear aerothermoelasticity of a two-dimension thin plate in supersonic airflow is examined. The strain-displacement relation of the von Karman's large deflection theory is employed to describe the geometric non-linearity and the aerodynamic piston theory is employed to account for the effects of the aerodynamic force. A new method, the differential quadrature method (DQM), is used to obtain the discrete form of the motion equations. Then the Runge-Kutta numerical method is applied to solve the nonlinear equations and the nonlinear response of the plate is obtained numerically. The results indicate that due to the aerodynamic heating, the plate stability is degenerated, and in a specific region of system parameters the chaos motion occurs, and the route to chaos motion is via doubling-period bifurcations. 相似文献

水下发射导弹在出、入水以及水下运行过程中,由于流体、水动力以及运动速度的影响,产生附加质量和轴向荷载作用,影响结构振动频率.本文针对水下高速运动结构,给出了流体影响、轴向荷载分别作用以及二者同时作用下,结构频率的固有频率计算方法;并从理论分析、数值模拟和实验研究三个方面对水下的结构的固有频率进行了分析和研究.近似计算表明计算结果具有较好的一致性,而且由于流体和轴向荷载的影响,结构的固有频率有明显下降的趋势,而且对低阶频率影响较大. 相似文献
