Charge transfer of 1 ML C60/Ag（100）

We have measured the synchrotron radiation photoelectron spectra of monolayer C60on Ag（100）, By calculating the intensity ratios between the LUMO bands and the two deeper bands （HOMO and HOMO- 1）, we estimate the amount of the charges transferred from Ag（100） to C60 within the range of 1 e to 1.8 e. The results dismay the expectation of surface superconductivity and afford a good reference for further studies of the monolayer C60/Ag（100） system.     

Kinetic Model of the Lysogeny/Lysis Switch of Phage λ

A kinetic model of the interactions between operators and regulators is developed to study the stabilities of genetic states and lysogeny/lysis switch in Eschemchia coli infected by bacteriophage lambda. Using adiabatic approximation, the kinetic evolutions of mRNA and regulator concentrations can be deduced from operators＇ equations. Furthermore, the stability of each state of the system is studied. The results show that the lysogenic state switches to the lytic state through two bifurcations： one from a single stable state to a three-point state, and the other from a three-point state to a single stable state. Then we indicate that the property of the lysogeny/lysis switch satisfies the topological characteristics theorem. Finally, the influence of the left operators on the lysogeny/lysis switch is briefly discussed. The results show that the cooperativity of the CI2 bound to left and right operators makes the lysogenic state more stable.

Let a sequence {xn} be generated from x1 ∈ K by zn：= （1-μn）xn＋μnT^nnxn, xn＋1 ：= λnθnx1＋ [1 - λn（1 ＋ θn）]xn ＋ λnT^nnzn for all integer n ≥ 1, where Tn = Tn（mod N）, and {λn}, {θn} and {μn} are three real sequences in [0, 1] satisfying appropriate conditions. Then ｜｜xn- Tixn｜｜→ 0 as n→∞ for each l ∈ {1, 2,..., N}. The results presented in this paper generalize and improve the corresponding results of Chidume and Zegeye, Reinermann, Rhoades and Schu.     

A Comparative Study of fB within QCD Sum Rules with Two Typical Correlators up to Next-to-Leading Order

The B-meson decay constant f_B is an important component for studying the B-meson decays, which can be studied through QCD sum rules. We make a detailed discussion on f_B from two sum rules up to next-to-leading order, i.e. sum rules I and II, which are derived from the conventional correlator and the correlator with chiral currents respectively. It is found that these two sum rules are consistent with each other. The sum rules II involves less non-perturbative condensates as that of sum rules I, and in principle, it can be more accurate if we know the dimension-four gluon condensate well. It is found that f_B decreases with the increment of m_B, and to compare with the Belle experimental data on f_B, both sum rules I and II prefer smaller pole b-quarkmass, m_b=4.68±0.07 GeV. By varying all the input parameters within their reasonable regions and by adding all the uncertainties in quadrature, we obtain f_B=172^{+23}_{-25} MeV for sum rules I and f_B=214_{-34}^{+26} MeV for sum rules II.     

Enzymatic Promiscuity： Escherichia coli BioH Esterase-catalysed Aldol Reaction and Knoevenagel Reaction

Esterase BioH,which is obligatory for biotin synthesis in Escherichia coli,was found to exhibit a promiscuous ability to catalyse Aldol and Knoevenagel reactions with moderate to good yields.The reaction conditions including organic solvent,molar ratio of ketone to aldehyde,enzyme amount,and reaction time were investigated to evaluate the effect of different reaction conditions on yield.Target compounds were afforded in the best yield of 91.2％ for Aldol reaction and 54.7％ for Knoevenagel reaction.In addition,because the enzyme could be prepared with a low cost,this protocol could provide an economic route to conduct Aldol and Knoevenagel reactions,which expand the field of enzymatic promiscuity.     

A Novel Thermostable β-Galactosidase from Geobaciilus kaustophilus HTA42

A novel thermostable β-galactosidase gene, designated as GkGallA, from the thermophilic bacterium Geobacillus kaustophilus HTA426 was cloned and heterologously overexpressed in Escherichia coli（E, coli）. Based on the sequence analysis, GkGallA belongs to the glycosyl hydrolase family 1 that was the first β-galactosidase of bacterial origins expressed by us in this family. The apparent molecular weight of GkGallA determined by sodium deodecyl sulfate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis is 52000. It exhibited the highest activity toward p-nitrophenyl-β-D-galactopyranoside at pH 7.8 and 70℃ and displayed high thermal stability, Divalent cations are prerequisite for the activity of GKGallA, with the highest activity in the presence of Mn2＋. Moreover, the three-dimensional structure of GkGaI1A was modeled to speculate the structure of the catalytic residues and the reac- tion mechanism. The catalytic residues consisting of Glu166 and Glu355 were verified by site-directed mutagenesis.     

Symplectic eigenvector expansion theorem of a class of operator matrices arising from elasticity theory

This paper deals with the completeness of the eigenvector system of a class of operator matrices arising from elasticity theory, i.e., symplectic eigenvector expansion theorem. Under certain conditions, the symplectic orthogonality of eigenvectors of the operator matrix is demonstrated. Based on this, a necessary and sufficient condition for the completeness of the eigenvector system of the operator matrix is given. Furthermore, the obtained results are tested for the free vibration of rectangular thin plates.     

以银纳米棒/氯化银为SERS基底用维多利亚蓝B分子探针检测大肠杆菌

加入增敏剂AgNO₃和NaCl,在银纳米棒(AgNRs)表面吸附了较牢固的AgCl并形成高SERS活性的AgNR/AgCl溶胶基底,维多利亚蓝B(VBB)分子探针在1 611 cm-1处有一较强的SERS峰。用VBB做大肠杆菌(EC)的染色剂,使染色的大肠杆菌具备VBB分子探针的SERS特性,即VBB染色大肠杆菌也在1 611 cm-1处有一较强的SERS峰。在最优条件下,该SERS峰强与大肠杆菌浓度在5×106～3×109 cfu·mL-1 范围内成正比,检出限为2×106 cfu·mL-1,用于水样和饮料中大肠杆菌的分析,具有简便、快速、灵敏等优点。
