Based on a systematic investigation of J/ψ(ψ')→VP, where V and P stand for light vector and pseudoscalar mesons, we identify the role played by the electromagnetic (EM) transitions and intermediate meson loop transitions, which are essential ingredients for understanding the J/ψ and ψ' couplings to VP. We show that on the one hand, the EM transitions have relatively larger interferences in ψ'→ρπ and K^*^-K +c.c. as explicitly shown by vector meson dominance (VMD). On the other hand, the strong decay of ψ' receives relatively larger destructive interferences from the intermediate meson loop transitions. By identifying these mechanisms in an overall study of J/ψ(ψ') → VP, we provide a coherent understanding of the so-called "ρπ puzzle". 相似文献

In this paper, we introduce relaxed η-α-P-monotone mapping, and by utilizing KKM technique and Nadler’s Lemma we establish some existence results for the generalized mixed vector variational-like inequality problem. Further, we give the concepts of η-complete semicontinuity and η-strong semicontinuity and prove the solvability for generalized mixed vector variational-like inequality problem without monotonicity assumption by applying the Brouwer’s fixed point theorem. We report the methods and plans for measuring the differential cross section of J/ψ→μ^+μ^- production, using data to be collected in the first LHC run by the CMS detector. Making use of the large B-hadron lifetime, we show how to separate the promptly produced J/ψ’s from those coming from B-hadron decays. Since the J/ψ production cross section is expected to be large, the analysis should be viable with relatively small data sets, that will become available early in the startup of the LHC. We also address effects of a non-perfect detector alignment, as well as systematic uncertainties. About 70 thousand J/ψ decays are reconstructed from Monte Carlo data, which corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 3 pb^-1 in 14 TeV collisions, in the range of pT^J/ ψbetween 5 and 40 GeV/c. The precision of the result is limited by systematic uncertainties, and is at the 15% level. 相似文献

Although J/ψ weak decays are rare,they are possible within the standard model of elementary particles.Inspired by the potential prospects of the future intensity frontier,the C parity violating J/ψ→πη~((')),ηη' decays and the strangeness changing J/ψ→πK,Kη~((')) decays are studied via the perturbative QCD approach.It is determined that the J/ψ→ηη' decays have relatively large branching ratios,approximately on the order of 10~(-11),which might be within the measurement capability and sensitivity of the future STCF experiment. 相似文献

We report the progress on understanding some of those existing puzzles in charmonium decays.We show that the intermediate meson loops (IML) as a long-distance transition mechanism will provide novel insights into these issues.In particular,we show that the IML mechanism would be essentially important for understanding the ψ(3770) non-DD decays.We also comment that such a mechanism is correlated with the Okubo-Zweig-Iizuka (OZI) rule evasions in charmonium hadronic decays. 相似文献

In this paper, we introduce generalized cyclic C-contractions through p num-ber of subsets of a probabilistic metric space and establish two fixed point results for such contractions. In our first theorem we use the Hadzic type t-norm. In our next theorem we use Lukasiewicz t-norm. Our results generalize the results of Choudhury and Bhandari [11].
