We present a new and simple approach to concentration inequalities in the context of dependent random processes and random fields. Our method is based on coupling and does not use information inequalities. In case one has a uniform control on the coupling, one obtains exponential concentration inequalities. If such a uniform control is no more possible, then one obtains polynomial or stretched-exponential concentration inequalities. Our abstract results apply to Gibbs random fields, both at high and low temperatures and in particular to the low-temperature Ising model which is a concrete example of non-uniformity of the coupling.   相似文献

In this paper, we first introduce some new kinds of weighted amalgam spaces. Then we discuss the strong type and weak type estimates for a class of Calderόn–Zygmund type operators $T_θ$ in these new weighted spaces. Furthermore, the strong type estimate and endpoint estimate of linear commutators $[b, T_θ]$ formed by $b$ and $T_θ$ are established. Also we study related problems about two-weight, weak type inequalities for $T_θ$ and $[b, T_θ]$ in the weighted amalgam spaces and give some results.  相似文献

In a general Sparre Andersen risk model with surplus-dependent premium income, the generalization of Gerber-Shiu function proposed by Cheung et al. (2010a) is studied. A general expression for such Gerber-Shiu function is derived, and it is shown that its determination reduces to the evaluation of a transition function which is independent of the penalty function. Properties of and explicit expressions for such a transition function are derived when the surplus process is subject to (i) constant premium; (ii) a threshold dividend strategy; or (iii) credit interest. Extension of the approach is discussed for an absolute ruin model with debit interest.  相似文献

In this article, we give necessary and sufficient Dini type conditions on the functions , and η such that is bounded from the Orlicz space into the Orlicz space . We also present a version of this result for open subsets of with finite measure. Both results generalize those contained in 6 and 14 when , respectively. As a consequence, we obtain a characterization of the functions involved in the boundedness of the higher order commutators of the fractional integral operator with BMO symbols. In this article, we study a nonlinear version of the sampling Kantorovich type operators in a multivariate setting and we show applications to image processing. By means of the above operators, we are able to reconstruct continuous and uniformly continuous signals/images (functions). Moreover, we study the modular convergence of these operators in the setting of Orlicz spaces L ?(? n ) that allows us to deal the case of not necessarily continuous signals/images. The convergence theorems in L p (? n )-spaces, L αlog β L(? n )-spaces and exponential spaces follow as particular cases.
