The learning rate of l 2-coefficient regularized classification with strong loss

In the present paper, we give an investigation on the learning rate of l2-coefficient regularized classification with strong loss and the data dependent kernel functional spaces. The results show that the learning rate is influenced by the strong convexity.

Existence of extremal solutions by approximation to a first-order initial dynamic equation with Carathéodory's conditions and discontinuous non-linearities*

This paper is devoted to the study of the existence of extremal solutions to a first-order initial value problem on an interval of an arbitrary time scale. We prove the existence of extremal solutions for problems satisfying Carathéodory's conditions. Moreover, they are approximated uniformly by a sequence of lower and upper solutions to this problem, respectively.

We also can warrant the existence and approximation of extremal solutions for the problem by relaxing their continuity properties.     

Random attractor and upper semi-continuity for Zakharov lattice system with multiplicative white noise

In this paper, we study the long-term asymptotic behaviour of solutions to the stochastic Zakharov lattice equation with multiplicative white noise. We first transfer the stochastic lattice equation into a random lattice equation and prove the existence and uniqueness of solutions which generate a random dynamical system. Then we consider the existence of a tempered random bounded absorbing set and a random attractor for the system. Finally we establish the upper semi-continuity of random attractor to the global attractor of the limiting system as the coefficients of the white noise terms tend to zero.     

Coinvasion–coexistence travelling wave solutions of an integro-difference competition system

This paper is concerned with the travelling wave solutions of an integro-difference competition system, of which the purpose is to model the coinvasion–coexistence process of two competitors with age structure. The existence of non-trivial travelling wave solutions is obtained by constructing generalized upper and lower solutions. The asymptotic and non-existence of travelling wave solutions are proved by combining the theory of asymptotic spreading with the idea of contracting rectangle.

A two‐level variational multiscale method for incompressible flows based on two local Gauss integrations

In this article, a two‐level variational multiscale method for incompressible flows based on two local Gauss integrations is presented. We solve the Navier–Stokes problem on a coarse mesh using finite element variational multiscale method based on two local Gauss integrations, then seek a fine grid solution by solving a linearized problem on a fine grid. In computation, we use the two local Gauss integrations to replace the projection operator without adding any variables. Stability analysis is performed, and error estimates of the method are derived. Finally, a series of numerical experiments are also given, which confirm the theoretical analysis and demonstrate the efficiency of the new method. © 2013 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
