“现代谱分析图形软件系统”是一个以谱分析为主体的大型软件，它包括了３２种当前典型的现代谱分析方法、经典谱分析方法和其它常用信号分析方法，并具有丰富的图形处理功能。本文介绍了该软件系统的基本功能和主要特点，研究了它在现代谱分析、水声、医疗、语音分析等领域的应用，并分析了有关结果。     

自由摆的平板控制系统设计

为了实现对基于自由摆的平板的控制,建立了基于自由摆的平板控制系统.首先分析平板的控制转角与自由摆转角的关系,推导出关系式,再对控制单元、反馈单元进行分析比较给出方案,采用32位LPC2138(ARM7)处理器为平板控制系统的中央控制单元,实现由高精度电位器测量出摆动角度后由步进电机控制的平板在周期摆动中做相应反馈调整,然后在现有器件的基础上编制出控制软件,在设备上进行调试,最后对系统的精度进行分析并进行实际测量.测量结果表明激光笔在摆动中照射在靶板上的光斑偏离基准线最大0.89cm,基本满足对平板的控制要求.     

A novel pose and illumination robust face recognition with a single training image per person algorithm

In the real-world application of face recognition system, owing to the difficulties of collecting samples or storage space of systems, only one sample image per person is stored in the system, which is so-called one sample per person problem. Moreover, pose and illumination have impact on recognition performance. We propose a novel pose and illumination robust algorithm for face recognition with a single training image per person to solve the above limitations. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm is an efficient and practical approach for face recognition.     

The Design and Implementation of Usable ODE Software

In the last decade it has become standard for students and researchers to be introduced to state-of-the-art numerical software through a problem solving environment (PSE) rather than through the use of scientific libraries callable from a high level language such as Fortran or C. In this paper we will identify the constraints and implications that this imposes on the ODE software we investigate and develop. In particular, the way a numerical solution is displayed and viewed by a user dictates that new measures of performance and quality must be adopted. We will use the MATLAB environment and ODE software for initial value problems, boundary value problems and delay problems to illustrate the issues that arise and the progress that has been made. One of the major implications is the expectation that accurate approximations at off-mesh points must be provided. Traditional numerical methods for ODEs have produced approximations to the underlying solution on an associated discrete, adaptively chosen mesh. In recent years it has become common for the ODE software to also deliver approximations at off-mesh values of the independent variable. Such a feature can be extremely valuable in applications and leads to new measures of quality and performance which are more meaningful to users and more consistently interpreted and implemented in contemporary ODE software. Numerical examples of the robust and reliable behaviour of such software will be presented and the cost/reliability trade-offs that arise will be quantified.

The increasing importance of nonlinear programming software requires an enlarged set of test examples. The purpose of this note is to point out how an interested mathematical programmer could obtain computer programs of more than 120 constrained nonlinear programming problems which have been used in the past to test and compare optimization codes.     

order and disorder lines in systems with competing interactions: II. The IRF model

Systems with competing interactions can be often exactly solved on a restricted subspace of the parameter space, called an order or disorder trajectory. A simple method introduced within the transfer matrix formalism allows for the calculation of the free energy and spin-spin correlation functions along the order and disorder lines of the Ising model with all possible interactions around a face of the square lattice (IRF model). Two Special Simply Connected Spaces of Nonpositive Curvature

We construct two examples of spaces homeomorphic to R ⁿ (n3) each of which has a closed geodesic and admits no isoperimetric inequality. The first is a complete polyhedral metric space of nonpositive curvature, and the second is an incomplete Riemannian space with nonpositive sectional curvatures.
