Four methyl and ethylbenzonaphthyridinones, along with two ethylbenzonaphthyridinium iodides, 2.5-dimethyl-1,5-benzo[c]naphthyridinium iodide, as well as three isomeric N-3-bromopropylbenzonaphthyridinium bromides have been synthesized and their structures confirmed by1H NMR spectroscopy. Quaternary ammonium salt polymers, a kind of polyelectrolyte with a quaternary ammonium group, are widely used in traditional and emerging industries due to their good water-solubility, adjustable cationicity and molecular weight, high efficiency and nontoxicity. In this paper, firstly, the properties and several synthesis methods of typical quaternary ammonium salt monomers were introduced. Secondly, the research progress on the synthesis of polymers was summarized from the perspective of obtaining products with high molecular weight, narrow molecular weight distribution and high monomer conversion, and special functional polymers. Thirdly, the relationships between the structures and properties of the polymer were analyzed from the perspectives of molecular weight, charge density, structural stability, and microstructural regulation of the polymer chain unit. Fourthly, typical examples of quaternary ammonium salt polymers in the application fields of water treatment, daily chemicals, petroleum exploitation, papermaking, and textile printing and dyeing were listed. Finally, constructive suggestions were put forward on developing quaternary ammonium salt polymers with high molecular weights, strengthening the research on the relationships between the structures and their properties and pinpointing relevant application fields.  相似文献

Chikungunya is an infectious disease caused by mosquito-transmitted chikungunya virus (CHIKV). It was reported that NS1 and E2 siRNAs administration demonstrated CHIKV inhibition in in vitro as well as in vivo systems. Cationic lipids are promising for designing safe non-viral vectors and are beneficial in treating chikungunya. In this study, nanodelivery systems (hybrid polymeric/solid lipid nanoparticles) using cationic lipids (stearylamine, C9 lipid, and dioctadecylamine) and polymers (branched PEI-g-PEG -PEG) were prepared, characterized, and complexed with siRNA. The four developed delivery systems (F1, F2, F3, and F4) were assessed for stability and potential toxicities against CHIKV. In comparison to the other nanodelivery systems, F4 containing stearylamine (Octadecylamine; ODA), with an induced optimum cationic charge of 45.7 mV in the range of 152.1 nm, allowed maximum siRNA complexation, better stability, and higher transfection, with strong inhibition against the E2 and NS1 genes of CHIKV. The study concludes that cationic lipid-like ODA with ease of synthesis and characterization showed maximum complexation by structural condensation of siRNA owing to high transfection alone. Synergistic inhibition of CHIKV along with siRNA was demonstrated in both in vitro and in vivo models. Therefore, ODA-based cationic lipid nanoparticles can be explored as safe, potent, and efficient nonviral vectors overcoming siRNA in vivo complexities against chikungunya.  相似文献

There is an urgent need to develop new therapeutic strategies to fight the emergence of multidrug resistant bacteria. Many antimicrobial peptides (AMPs) have been identified and characterized, but clinical translation has been limited partly due to their structural instability and degradability in physiological environments. The use of unnatural backbones leading to foldamers can generate peptidomimetics with improved properties and conformational stability. We recently reported the successful design of urea-based eukaryotic cell-penetrating foldamers (CPFs). Since cell-penetrating peptides and AMPs generally share many common features, we prepared new sequences derived from CPFs by varying the distribution of histidine- and arginine-type residues at the surface of the oligourea helix, and evaluated their activity on both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria as well as on fungi. In addition, we prepared and tested new amphiphilic block cofoldamers consisting of an oligourea and a peptide segment whereby polar and charged residues are located in the peptide segment and more hydrophobic residues in the oligourea segment. Several foldamer sequences were found to display potent antibacterial activities even in the presence of 50% serum. Importantly, we show that these urea-based foldamers also possess promising antifungal properties.  相似文献

Sweet potato is a root tuber crop and an important starch source. There are hundreds of sweet potato varieties planted widely in the world. Starches from varieties with different genotype types and originating from different countries have not been compared for their physicochemical properties. In the research, starches from 44 sweet potato varieties originating from 15 countries but planted in the same growing conditions were investigated for their physicochemical properties to reveal the similarities and differences in varieties. The results showed that the 44 starches had granule size (D[4,3]) from 8.01 to 15.30 μm. Starches had different iodine absorption properties with OD680 from 0.259 to 0.382 and OD620/550 from 1.142 to 1.237. The 44 starches had apparent amylose content from 19.2% to 29.2% and true amylose content from 14.2% to 20.2%. The starches exhibited A-, CA-, CC-, or CB-type X-ray diffraction patterns. The thermograms of 44 starches exhibited one-, two-, or three-peak curves, leading to a significantly different gelatinization temperature range from 13.1 to 29.2 °C. The significantly different starch properties divide the 44 sweet potato varieties into different groups due to their different genotype backgrounds. The research offers references for the utilization of sweet potato germplasm.  相似文献

以三芳基六氟磷酸硫鎓盐为引发剂,钛酸四异丙酯(TIP)为无机前驱体,3,4-环氧环己基甲基3,4-环氧环己基甲酸酯为单体,制备了含TiO2纳米结构的紫外光固化阳离子复合胶粘剂。通过原子力显微镜对复合胶粘剂形貌进行表征,研究了TIP含量对胶粘剂折射率和光透过率的影响。结果表明:TiO2无机相均匀地分散在胶粘剂的聚合物基体中,平均粒径约为20 nm;随着体系中TIP质量分数的变化,复合胶粘剂折射率为1.510 3~1.540 9可调;胶粘剂的光透过率随TIP质量分数增加略有减低,但当TIP含量高达40%时,光透过率维持在90%左右。  相似文献

In this paper we report the effect of dicationic ‘gemini’ surfactants (CH3)2C16H33N+? (CH2)m? N+C16H33(CH3)2, 2Br? (where m = 4, 5, 6) on the reaction of ninhydrin with DL ‐tryptophan. The gemini surfactant micellar media are comparatively more effective than their conventional monomeric counterpart cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) micelles. Also, whereas typical rate constant (kψ) increase and leveling‐off regions, just like CTAB, are observed with geminis, the latter produce a third region of increasing kψ at higher concentrations. These subsequent increases are ascribed to changes in micellar morphologies, consistent with changes in 1H NMR line widths. The interaction of ionic liquids (ILs) with non-ionic triblock copolymer, Pluronic® P123, in aqueous solutions has been investigated using Small Angle Neutron Scattering (SANS) measurements. The micellar structural parameters are obtained by fitting the SANS scattering data with model composed of core-shell form factor and a hard sphere structure factor of interaction, as a function of cationic head group of ILs. With the addition of ILs, a decrease in the micellar core, aggregation number, and hard sphere radius of P123 micelles was noticed. The results are discussed and explained as a function of cationic head groups of N-octylpyridinium/imidazolium chloride.  相似文献

Fluorine‐19 (19F)‐based contrast agents are increasingly used for magnetic resonance imaging. Conjugated to polymers, they provide an excellent quantitative imaging tool to detect the movement of the polymeric nanoparticles in vivo as there is no background signal in tissue. One of the challenges is the decline in signal intensity when the conjugated hydrophobic fluorinated functionalities aggregate. Therefore, a new fluorinated monomer was prepared from l ‐arginine that carries a 2,2,2‐trifluoroethyl functional group for imaging. The resulting monomer, 2,2,2‐trifluoroethylamide l ‐arginine methacrylamide (3FArgMA), was copolymerized with poly(ethylene glycol) methyl ether methacrylate (PEGMEMA), [2‐(2,3,4,6‐tetra‐O‐acetyl‐α‐d ‐mannopyranosyloxy)ethyl methacrylate or 1‐O‐methacryloyl‐2,3:4,5‐di‐O‐isopropylidene‐β‐d ‐fructopyranose, respectively, using poly(methyl methacrylate) macro‐reversible addition–fragmentation chain transfer polymerization agent. The resulting block copolymers, which varied in 3FArgMA content, were self‐assembled into micelles of hydrodynamic diameters from 25 to 60 nm. The permanently positively charged arginine functionality on the 3FArgMA displayed repulsive forces against aggregation enabling high spin–spin relaxation times (T2) in acidic as well as alkaline solutions. However, the longer poly(ethylene glycol) side functionality in PEGMEMA enabled better steric stabilization (T2~30 ms) while the short fructose side chain was not enough to maintain high T2 values, in particular when a higher 3FArgMA content was used. © 2019 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
