We give a characterization of a regular Boolean matrix and prove that AB = I Implies that BA = I, where A and B are Boolean matrices whose elements belong to a Boolean algebra of a set with more than two elements.     

关于非线性矩阵方程$X^s-A^*X^{-t}A=Q$的Hermitian正定解及其扰动估计

In this paper, the Hermitian positive definite solutions of the nonlinear matrix equation X^s - A^＊X^-tA = Q are studied, where Q is a Hermitian positive definite matrix, s and t are positive integers. The existence of a Hermitian positive definite solution is proved. A sufficient condition for the equation to have a unique Hermitian positive definite solution is given. Some estimates of the Hermitian positive definite solutions are obtained. Moreover, two perturbation bounds for the Hermitian positive definite solutions are derived and the results are illustrated by some numerical examples.     

Positive solutions for a p-Laplacian type system of impulsive fractional boundary value problem

In this paper, the aim is to discuss a class of p-Laplacian type fractional Dirichlet"s boundary value problem involving impulsive impacts. Based on the approaches of variational method and the properties of fractional derivatives on the reflexive Banach spaces, the existence results of positive solutions for our equations are established. Two examples are given at the end of each main result.     

Abnormal positive thermal expansion in Mo substituted ZrW2O8

ZrW₂O₈ displays the unusual property of an isotropic bulk contraction in volume as a function of temperature. We report here on the positive thermal expansion (PTE) property caused by substituting Mo for W sites in ZrW₂O₈ at room temperature. The room temperature crystal structure of ZrW_2−xMo_xO₈ compounds, which were synthesized using a low temperature route, could be divided into ordered phase with α-ZrW₂O₈ structure (0≤x≤0.5) and disordered phase with β-ZrW₂O₈ (0.5<x≤1.5) and c-ZrMo₂O₈ structure (1.5<x≤2). ZrW_2−xMo_xO₈ adopting β-ZrW₂O₈ structure shows abnormal PTE property at room temperature due to the existence of water molecules, while ZrW_2−xMo_xO₈ adopting the other two structures (α-ZrW₂O₈ and c-ZrMo₂O₈) shows negative thermal expansion (NTE) property from room temperature until decomposition for α-ZrW₂O₈ structure or trigonal phase transition for c-ZrMo₂O₈ structure. The reason lies in the fact that the oxygen migration caused by the Mo substitution leads to the re-arrangement of W(Mo)O₄ tetrahedra lying along the 3-fold axis, only particular W/Mo ratio (0.5<x≤1.5) produces a special crystal structure, which allows the entrance of water molecules.

In this paper, we will analyze further to obtain a finer asymptotic behavior of positive solutions of semilinear elliptic equations in R^n by employing the Li＇s method of energy function.     

Left inverses of matrices with polynomial decay

It is known that the algebra of Schur operators on ?² (namely operators bounded on both ?¹ and ?^∞) is not inverse-closed. When ?²=?²(X) where X is a metric space, one can consider elements of the Schur algebra with certain decay at infinity. For instance if X has the doubling property, then Q. Sun has proved that the weighted Schur algebra Aω(X) for a strictly polynomial weight ω is inverse-closed. In this paper, we prove a sharp result on left-invertibility of the these operators. Namely, if an operator A∈Aω(X) satisfies ‖Afp_‖?‖fp_‖, for some 1?p?∞, then it admits a left-inverse in Aω(X). The main difficulty here is to obtain the above inequality in ?². The author was both motivated and inspired by a previous work of Aldroubi, Baskarov and Krishtal (2008) [1], where similar results were obtained through different methods for X=Zd, under additional conditions on the decay.
