If the centered and normalized partial sums of an i.i.d. sequence of random variables converge in distribution to a nondegenerate limit then we say that this sequence belongs to the domain of attraction of the necessarily stable limit. If we consider only the partial sums which terminate atk n wherek n+1 ck n then the sequence belongs to the domain of semistable attraction of the necessarily semistable limit. In this paper, we consider the case where the limiting distribution is nonnormal. We obtain a series representation for the partial sums which converges almost surely. This representation is based on the order statistics, and utilizes the Poisson process. Hermann proposed that mesomorphic media should be classified by assigning certain statistical symmetry groups to each possible partially ordered array. Two translational groups introduced were called superordinate and subordinate. We find that the average density in such a partially ordered medium has the superordinate symmetry 1, while the pair correlation function has the subordinate symmetry 2. A complete listing is made of all compatible combinations of 1 and 2 in two and three dimensions. This leads to more possible symmetries than Hermann obtained, e.g., also to nonstoichiometric crystals. The order parameter space for the systems is found to be the quotient space 1/2. In most cases it is identical to the order parameter space of low-dimensionalXY spin systems. The Landau free energy is expanded as functional of the two-particle correlation functionK; the translation group is found to be 1×2. A Landau mean-field theory can then be carried out by expanding the system free energy into a series of invariants of the active irreducible representations ofK and mapping the free energy onto that for anXY planar spin system. We predict novel critical behavior for transitions between mesomorphic phases and go nogo selection rules for continuous transitions. We give the structure factors for X-ray scattering so changes in all such phase transitions are observable. The statistical symmetry groups, which describe point and translational symmetries of the mesophases, are classified. The concept of crystalline module, that is, an unambiguously isolated, repeated quasi-molecular element, is introduced. This concept is more general than the concept of crystal lattice. The generalized modular approach allows extension of the methods and principles of crystallography to quasi-crystals, clusters, amorphous solids, and periodic biological structures. Principles of construction of aperiodic, nonequilibrium regular modular structures are formulated. Limitations on the size of icosahedral clusters are due to the presence of spherical shells with non-Euclidean tetrahedral tiling in their structure. A parametric relationship between the structures of icosahedral fullerenes and metal clusters of the Chini series was found.  相似文献

Summary The thermodynamics of mobile order is applied to predict the aqueous solubility of liquid and solid aliphatic and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons. The solubility values are mainly determined by the magnitude of the hydrophobic effect. However, contrary to the solubilities of the alkanes, the solubilities of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in water predicted in absence of solute-solvent hydrogen (H) bonds are systematically too low. This shows the contribution of weak specific interactions between the OH groups and the electrons of the aromatic substances. According to the theory, these interactions are characterized by a stability bility constant Ko which can be derived from solubility data. At 25°C, this constant amounts to 80 cm3/mol, the order of magnitude of which can be explained by the competition of these intermolecular bonds with the rather weak self-association bonds in the secondary chains of water.  相似文献

In this paper we describe a new technique for generating iteration formulas — of arbitrary order — for determining a zero (assumed simple) of a functionf, assumed analytic in a region containing the zero. The 1/p Padé Approximant (p0) to the functiong(t)f(z) is formed wherez=w+t, using the Taylor series forf at the pointw, an approxination to the zero off. The value oft for which the 1/p Padé Approximant vanishes provides the basis of iteration formulas of orderp+2.Some known iteration formulas, e.g., Newton-Raphson's, Halley's and Kiss's of order of convergence two, three and four, are directly obtained by settingp=0,1 and 2, respectively.  相似文献

作为零位干涉检测方法中非常有前途的一种方法.计算全息可以用于非旋转对称的非球面的检测.以三次相位板为例,阐述了利用计算全息图检测非旋转对称的非球面的基本原理.分析并推导了三次相位传播过程引入的高阶波像差的理论公式,给出了三次相位板的检测系统的没计结果.详细讨论了计算全息图衍射级次的分离以及计算全息图的二元化,给出了振幅型的计算全息图的图样.计算全息图的刻线最小问隔是40μm,计算全息图的制作精度对检测结果的波前误差的影响仅仅为0.005λ.对检测系统作了详细的公差分析,结果表明所有调整公差对整个检测系统的影响和方根值为83.954 nm.  相似文献

在标准Rough集理论的指导下,利用偏序关系性质构造了不同分类,并以此为基础探讨了上、下近似集,从而构建了基于偏序关系的Rough集模型。新模型将Rough集理论的应用范围由等价关系扩展到偏序关系。为了更好地增强模型的实用性和灵括性,一方面从程度、精度、概率等角度出发分别对其进行了扩展,另一方面引入依赖度使其适用于研究各种非严格的偏序关系。给出了实例分析,并结合现实生活中的现象阐述了模型的应用价值。  相似文献

从一般高斯型色噪声模型出发,通过泛函导数,应用小关联时间,近似计算多维色噪声,得到有效Fokker-Planck方程.将其应用到两相湍流中得到颗粒相的概率密度函数输运方程,从而得到颗粒相的二阶矩模型.将颗粒应力方程简化成代数方程,建立代数应力模型.将对流扩散方程的有限分析法运用到求解两相流模型中,对壁面两相射流进行数值模拟,并将求解结果与实验结果进行对比分析.  相似文献
