A delayed n-species nonautonomous Lotka-Volterra type competitive system without dominating instantaneous negative feedback is investigated. By means of a suitable Lyapunov functional, sufficient conditions are derived for the global asymptotic stability of the positive solutions of the system. As a corollary, it is shown that the global asymptotic stability of the positive solution is maintained provided that the delayed negative feedbacks dominate other interspecific interaction effects with delays and the delays are sufficiently small.  相似文献

This paper studies the asymptotic stability of traveling relaxation shock profiles for hyperbolic systems of conservation laws. Under a stability condition of subcharacteristic type the large time relaxation dynamics on the level of shocks is shown to be determined by the equilibrium conservation laws. The proof is due to the energy principle, using the weighted norms, the interaction of waves from various modes is treated by imposing suitable weight matrix.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider an autonomous predator-prey Lotka-Volterra system in which individuals in the population may belong to one of two classes: the immatures and the matures, the age to maturity is represented by a time delay. By using eigenvalue analysis, principal term analyze method, reduction to absurdity, and iterative method, we obtain some simple conditions for global asymptotic stability of the unique positive equilibrium point. Moreover, a condition that the prey population in the system get extinction and the predator population in the system get permanence will be obtained. Meanwhile the theorems extend the corresponding conclusions in which there have no two stage structures.  相似文献

It is well known that there is a planar sloop of cardinality n for each n≡2 or 4 (mod 6) (Math. Z. 111 (1969) 289–300). A semi-planar sloop is a simple sloop in which each triangle either generates the whole sloop or the 8-element sloop. In fact, Quackenbush (Canad. J. Math. 28 (1976) 1187–1198) has stated that there should be such semi-planar sloops. In this paper, we construct a semi-planar sloop of cardinality 2n for each n≡2 or 4 (mod 6). Consequently, we may say that there is a semi-planar sloop that is not planar of cardinality m for each m>16 and m≡4 or 8 (mod 12). Moreover, Quackenbush (Canad. J. Math. 28 (1976) 1187–1198) has proved that each finite simple planar sloop generates a variety, which covers the smallest non-trivial subvariety (the variety of all Boolean sloops) of the lattice of the subvarieties of all sloops. Similarly, it is easy to show that each finite semi-planar sloop generates another variety, which also covers the variety of all Boolean sloops. Furthermore, for any finite simple sloop of cardinality n, the author (Beiträge Algebra Geom. 43 (2) (2002) 325–331) has constructed a subdirectly irreducible sloop of cardinality 2n and containing as the only proper normal subsloop. A result of Balas and Yu (1989) states that the number of maximal independent sets of a graph G is at most p+1, where is the number of pairs of vertices in G at distance 2, and p is the cardinality of a maximum induced matching in G. In this paper, we give an analogue of this result for hypergraphs and, more generally, for subsets of vectors in the product of n lattices =1××n, where the notion of an induced matching in G is replaced by a certain binary tree each internal node of which is mapped into . We show that our bounds may be nearly sharp for arbitrarily large hypergraphs and lattices. As an application, we prove that the number of maximal infeasible vectors x=1××n for a system of polymatroid inequalities does not exceed max{Q,logt/c(2Q,)}, where is the number of minimal feasible vectors for the system, , , and c(,) is the unique positive root of the equation 2c(c/log–1)=1. This bound is nearly sharp for the Boolean case ={0,1}n, and it allows for the efficient generation of all minimal feasible sets to a given system of polymatroid inequalities with quasi-polynomially bounded right-hand sides . The one-dimensional transient quantum Euler-Poisson system for semiconductors is studied in a bounded interval. The quantum correction can be interpreted as a dispersive regularization of the classical hydrodynamic equations and mechanical effects. The existence and uniqueness of local-in-time solutions are proved with lower regularity and without the restriction on the smallness of velocity, where the pressure-density is general (can be non-convex or non-monotone).  相似文献
