Optimal planar interception with fixed end conditions: Closed-form solution

A planar constant-speed interception with prescribed end conditions is analyzed. The performance index is the time of capture penalized by the control energy. For this problem, the optimal control of the pursuer is obtained in closed form, based on solving a set of nonlinear algebraic equations involving elliptic integrals. The construction of the solution is inspired by the singularly perturbed structure of the nondimensional equations of motion.This research was supported in part by the Ministry of Immigrant Absorption, Center for Absorption in Science, Jerusalem, Israel.     

Existence and compactness of solutions to impulsive differential equations with nonlocal conditions

The new type of nonlinear integral inequalities of Volterra–Fredholm type for discontinuous functions is investigated. Then, by using these inequalities and Schaefer fixed‐point theorem, we present new existence results for impulsive semilinear differential equations with nonlocal conditions. Approximate Controllability of Fractional Impulsive Partial Neutral Stochastic Differential Inclusions with State-Dependent Delay and Fractional Sectorial Operators

In this article, the approximate controllability of fractional impulsive partial neutral stochastic differential inclusions with state-dependent delay and fractional sectorial operators in Hilbert spaces is studied. By using the stochastic analysis, the fractional sectorial operators and a fixed point theorem for multi-valued maps combined with approximation techniques, we discuss a new set of su?cient conditions for the approximate controllability of the systems under the mixed Lipschitz and Carathéodory conditions. An example is provided to illustrate the obtained theory.     

Long‐time existence of solutions to the Navier–Stokes equations with inflow–outflow and heat convection

Long time existence of regular solutions to the Navier–Stokes equations for velocity and pressure coupled with the heat convection equation for temperature in cylindrical pipe with inflow and outflow is shown. We assume the slip boundary conditions for velocity and the Neumann conditions for temperature. First, an appropriate estimate is shown, and next the existence of solutions is proved by the Leray–Schauder fixed point theorem. The estimate is obtained for a long time, which is possible because L₂ norms of derivatives in the direction along the cylinder of the initial velocity, initial temperature and the external force are sufficiently small. POSITIVE SOLUTIONS TO TWO TYPES OF NEUTRAL DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS WITH DISTRIBUTED DELAY

In this paper, we study two types of neutral functional differential equations with finite or unbounded distributed deviating arguments. By Banach contraction princi-ple, we obtain some sufficient conditions for the existence of positive solutions to such equations.

Collective fixed points and maximal elements with applications to abstract economies

In this paper, we first establish collective fixed points theorems for a family of multivalued maps with or without assuming that the product of these multivalued maps is Φ-condensing. As an application of our collective fixed points theorem, we derive the coincidence theorem for two families of multivalued maps defined on product spaces. Then we give some existence results for maximal elements for a family of L_S-majorized multivalued maps whose product is Φ-condensing. We also prove some existence results for maximal elements for a family of multivalued maps which are not L_S-majorized but their product is Φ-condensing. As applications of our results, some existence results for equilibria of abstract economies are also derived. The results of this paper are more general than those given in the literature.
