This paper studies a generalized version of multi-class cost-constrained random-coding ensemble with multiple auxiliary costs for the transmission of N correlated sources over an N-user multiple-access channel. For each user, the set of messages is partitioned into classes and codebooks are generated according to a distribution depending on the class index of the source message and under the constraint that the codewords satisfy a set of cost functions. Proper choices of the cost functions recover different coding schemes including message-dependent and message-independent versions of independent and identically distributed, independent conditionally distributed, constant-composition and conditional constant composition ensembles. The transmissibility region of the scheme is related to the Cover-El Gamal-Salehi region. A related family of correlated-source Gallager source exponent functions is also studied. The achievable exponents are compared for correlated and independent sources, both numerically and analytically. 相似文献

Many studies have shown that b values tend to decrease prior to large earthquakes. To evaluate the forecast information in b value variations, we conduct a systematic assessment in Yunnan Province, China, where the seismicity is intense and moderate–large earthquakes occur frequently. The catalog in the past two decades is divided into four time periods (January 2000–December 2004, January 2005–December 2009, January 2010–December 2014, and January 2015–December 2019). The spatial b values are calculated for each 5-year span and then are used to forecast moderate-large earthquakes (M ≥ 5.0) in the subsequent period. As the fault systems in Yunnan Province are complex, to avoid possible biases in b value computation caused by different faulting regimes when using the grid search, the hierarchical space–time point-process models (HIST-PPM) proposed by Ogata are utilized to estimate spatial b values in this study. The forecast performance is tested by Molchan error diagram (MED) and the efficiency is quantified by probability gain (PG) and probability difference (PD). It is found that moderate–large earthquakes are more likely to occur in low b regions. The MED analysis shows that there is considerable precursory information in spatial b values and the forecast efficiency increases with magnitude in the Yunnan Province. These results suggest that the b value might be useful in middle- and long-term earthquake forecasts in the study area. 相似文献

There exists a natural trade-off in public key encryption (PKE) schemes based on ring learning with errors (RLWE), namely: we would like a wider error distribution to increase the security, but it comes at the cost of an increased decryption failure rate (DFR). A straightforward solution to this problem is the error-correcting code, which is commonly used in communication systems and already appears in some RLWE-based proposals. However, applying error-correcting codes to those cryptographic schemes is far from simply installing an add-on. Firstly, the residue error term derived by decryption has correlated coefficients, whereas most prevalent error-correcting codes with remarkable error tolerance assume the channel noise to be independent and memoryless. This explains why only simple error-correcting methods are used in existing RLWE-based PKE schemes. Secondly, the residue error term has correlated coefficients leaving accurate DFR estimation challenging even for uncoded plaintext. It can be found in the literature that a tighter DFR estimation can effectively create a DFR margin. Thirdly, most error-correcting codes are not well designed for safety considerations, e.g., syndrome decoding has a nonconstant time nature. A code good at error correcting might be weak under a variety of attacks. In this work, we propose a polar coding scheme for RLWE-based PKE. A relaxed “independence” assumption is used to derive an uncorrelated residue noise term, and a wireless communication strategy, outage, is used to construct polar codes. Furthermore, some knowledge about the residue noise is exploited to improve the decoding performance. With the parameterization of NewHope Round 2, the proposed scheme creates a considerable DRF margin, which gives a competitive security improvement compared to state-of-the-art benchmarks. Abstract The performance assessment of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing signals in direct-detection transmission systems by using the error vector magnitude and several bit error ratio approaches is analyzed and compared through numerical simulation. It is shown that excellent accuracy of the bit error ratio estimates is obtained by a semi-analytical Gaussian approach for all the orthogonal frequency division multiplexing system configurations analyzed and that the error vector magnitude only provides reliable estimates of the system performance when the system is dominantly impaired by noise. Additionally, a novel Q-factor approach for orthogonal frequency division multiplexing optical signals showing improved bit error ratio estimates is also presented. 相似文献

针对空间等离子体及其模拟环境、空间原子氧及其模拟环境对离子能谱测量的需要,利用仿真软件COMSOL,对离子能量分析器的低能离子测量特性进行了仿真研究。介绍了离子能量分析器的工作原理,对离子能谱测量过程进行了公式推导。通过对三种待选仪器设计方案进行离子透过率仿真分析,确定了一种较优的仪器设计方案。多种离子温度下的误差分析结果也表明,该设计方案能够较为准确地测量离子能量分布。分析了电场畸变、等离子鞘层、栅网对齐方式和离子温度对测量结果的影响,根据仿真结果对一些仿真实验现象做出了合理的解释。 相似文献

为了探究角锥棱镜谐振腔激光模式,以角锥-平面镜腔为例,将角锥棱镜等效为衍射光栅,考虑角锥镜棱宽在谐振腔中的衍射效应以及二面角误差引起的附加相位分布对谐振腔激光模式的影响,在光学谐振腔理论的基础上,建立了求解本征模式的理论分析模型.采用快速傅里叶法数值模拟不同腔长、角锥镜棱宽和二面角误差情况下该无源谐振腔激光输出模式分布情况.结果表明,在腔长30 cm、角锥镜棱宽小于75μm、二面角误差在-10′~5′之间时,可实现光斑完整的圆形分布输出模式,且有较好的光束质量;棱宽不小于0.4 mm,二面角误差在-40′~10′之间时,光斑为TEM 03阶横模,光场呈六瓣分布;当角锥镜棱宽为0.4 mm、二面角误差为3′,腔长从30~90 cm范围内增加时,该谐振腔输出的激光模式从TEM 03转换成TEM 10. 相似文献

对平行平板双光路横向剪切干涉仪的装调进行了研究,提出了一种矫正两个平行平板之间角度误差的方法.输出激光的波前采用Zernike多项式拟合,经过理论推导,发现两个方向差分波前求解出的倾斜像散之差与平行平板的角度误差存在线性关系,利用两个方向倾斜像散之差来矫正两个平行平板之间的角度误差.在平行平板横向剪切干涉仪的装调过程中使两个方向差分波前的倾斜像散之差为零即可以使两个方向的平行平板之间的角度误差值为零.进一步地从实验上证明了这个线性关系,对于所用的实验系统,当离焦像差为-3.224 7±0.001 8,两个方向差分波前的倾斜像散之差波动范围为±2.0×10^-3时,平行平板的角度误差可以控制在8.82″之内,高阶像差对平行平板的角度误差调节精度的影响约为1.63″.该方法具有装调简单、精确度高,易于流程化操作的优点. 相似文献
