Asymptotic analysis of stochastic programs

In this paper we discuss a general approach to studying asymptotic properties of statistical estimators in stochastic programming. The approach is based on an extended delta method and appears to be particularly suitable for deriving asymptotics of the optimal value of stochastic programs. Asymptotic analysis of the optimal value will be presented in detail. Asymptotic properties of the corresponding optimal solutions are briefly discussed.

本文根据学生对教师课堂教学质量的评分建立指标评估体系 ,得到一次量化数据 .对一次量化数据进行统计分析 :粗差剔除 ,计算标准分 ,得到被评估者在各总体中的相对位置 .在此基础上 ,采用二次量化模型 ,最后得到在全校范围内的教师得分排序 .     

Geometry of optimal value functions with applications to redundancy in linear programming

In 1967, Wets and Witzgall (Ref. 1) made, in passing, a connection between frames of polyhedral cones and redundancy in linear programming. The present work elaborates and formalizes the theoretical details needed to establish this relation. We study the properties of optimal value functions in order to derive the correspondence between problems in redundancy and the frame of a polyhedral cone. The insights obtained lead to schemes to improve the efficiency of procedures to detect redundancy in the areas of linear programming, stochastic programming, and computational geometry.The author is indebted to G. Stability of solutions to Hilbert boundary value problem under perturbation of the boundary curve

In this paper, the authors discuss the stability of the solutions to Hilbert boundary value problem under perturbation of the unit circle. When the index of this problem is non-negative, by extending Lavrentjev's conformal mapping on a region approximating to a unit disc, we show the solutions are stable under small perturbations. For negative index we give a conception of quasi-solution and discuss its stability correspondingly.     

Multiple positive solutions for discrete nonlocal boundary value problems

In this paper, we investigate a second-order nonlinear difference equation with sign-changing nonlinearity subject to two different sets of nonlocal boundary conditions. The explicit expressions of the associated Green's functions are presented. By using a recently developed fixed point theorem, we establish sufficient conditions for the existence of multiple positive solutions of the boundary value problem.

The dynamical behavior of the discontinuous Galerkin method and related difference schemes

We study the dynamical behavior of the discontinuous Galerkin finite element method for initial value problems in ordinary differential equations. We make two different assumptions which guarantee that the continuous problem defines a dissipative dynamical system. We show that, under certain conditions, the discontinuous Galerkin approximation also defines a dissipative dynamical system and we study the approximation properties of the associated discrete dynamical system. We also study the behavior of difference schemes obtained by applying a quadrature formula to the integrals defining the discontinuous Galerkin approximation and construct two kinds of discrete finite element approximations that share the dissipativity properties of the original method.
