Evaluation of gap length fluctuation with harmonic analysis method

Gap length (GL) of reading head is one of the most critical parameters for high-density magnetic recording systems. A novel method is proposed for quantitative evaluation of the GL fluctuation among a batch of magneto-resistive/giant magneto-resistive heads with same structure design. The method works at head-gimbal assembly level and the evaluation can be done with any read/write analysis equipment. The testing process is based on harmonic analysis of the readback signal. The testing system consists of a selected reference head and sample heads for evaluation. A GL variation function is introduced for the evaluation of GL deviation between the reference head and sample head. This method proved to be easy for implementation and results suggest that variation of GL is considerable and has obvious effect on recording performance in high recording density systems.

用核磁共振对非晶态中B³⁺离子的微观结构进行了测定,结合Raman光谱的研究,对Li₂O-B₂O₃-P₂O₅系统非晶态的性能(电导率、密度等)在P₂O₅/B₂O₃比约等于1时产生极值的原因从理论上作了阐明。     

重离子治疗计划系统的构想

对重离子柬治癌的优势进行简要的回顾，并着重介绍了用于重离子放射治疗的治疗计划系统。治疗计划系统是一套软件系统，不同的硬件设施应有与其相匹配的软件系统，即治疗计划系统。在此基础上，针对兰州重离子加速器的特点提出一些关于治疗计划系统方面的构想。After a brief review concerning the advantages of heavy ions in radiotherapy, more interests are concentrated on treatment planning system （TPS） for heavy ion radiotherapy. Compared to the hardware devices such as accelerator and beam delivery system, the TPS is a set of software system, and different therapy facilities require their corresponding TPSs. Based on the specialities of the Heavy Ion Research Facility in Lanzhou （HIIRFL）, some suggestions on the TPS for tumor therapy at HIRFL finally are given.     

TDI线扫相机光学通道建模与仿真

卫星相机建模与仿真研究不论在民用还是军事领域都具有重要的理论研究和实际应用价值。根据TDI线扫相机的工作原理建立了一个TDI线扫相机光学通道的数学模型,该模型包括从景物到TDI CCD离散图像的几何投影关系和能量传递关系两部分,对于确定的成像系统,给定景物参数和光学系统参数,就可以确定对应图像传感器上的离散图像。为了验证模型,对一幅卫星图像进行了计算机仿真。建立的模型可以用来研究当成像条件改变时对图像的影响,进一步还可以用来发展虚拟卫星相机系统。     

Technique for Monolithic Fabrication of Microlens Arrays Integrated with Infrared CCD

Based on scalar diffraction theory, 8-phase-level 256×256 elements diffractive microlens array with element dimension of 50×33 μm2 have been fabricated on the back-side of PtSi(3～5 μm) infrared CCD. The measurement results indicated that the ratio of the signal-to-noise of the infrared CCD with microlens was increased by a factor of 2.8.     

Synthesis and characterization of novel thermoresponsive‐co‐biodegradable hydrogels composed of N‐isopropylacrylamide,poly(L‐lactic acid), and dextran

A series of novel multifunctional hydrogels that combined the merits of both thermoresponsive and biodegradable polymeric materials were designed, synthesized, and characterized. The hydrogels were copolymeric networks composed of N‐isopropylacrylamide (NIPAAM) as a thermoresponsive component, poly(L‐lactic acid) (PLLA) as a hydrolytically degradable and hydrophobic component, and dextran as an enzymatically degradable and hydrophilic component. The chemical structures of the hydrogels were characterized by an attenuated total reflection–Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (ATR–FTIR) technique. The hydrogels were thermoresponsive, showing a lower critical solution temperature (LCST) at approximately 32 °C, and their swelling properties strongly depended on temperature changes, the balance of the hydrophilic/hydrophobic components, and the degradation of the PLLA component. The degradation of the hydrogels caused by hydrolytic cleavage of ester bonds in the PLLA component was faster at 25 °C below the LCST than at 37 °C above the LCST, determined by the ATR–FTIR technique. Rheological and diffusion properties of a dextran-con A polymer in the presence of Insulin and Magnesium

Previous work carried out in our laboratories has focused on the formation and investigation of a dextran and concanavalin A (con A) based gel, which has the ability to alter its conformational structure in the presence and absence of free and terminal glucoses such that a gel–sol phase transition occurs. Here we report the diffusion and rheological investigations in to the effects of the addition of insulin and varyingconcentrations of magnesium chloride hexahydrate (Mg₂Cl₂6H₂O) at 20 and 37 °C. Rheological examination of glucose-sensitive (dextran-con A) gels were conducted using a cone and plate viscometer used in continual rotation and oscillatory modes. The results are interpreted in terms of the structure of the gel network and suggest rheological assessment provides an effective method of assessing the properties of gel systems. The subsequent testing of such formulations in in-vitro diffusion experiments revealed a reduction in the rate of diffusivity in the insulin marker, poly R-478 dye. The performance of this self-regulating drug delivery system has been examined and the addition of insulin and magnesium chloride may alter the way in which the gel operates as a drug delivery device and in the delivery of insulin. This may have implications for other ligands.
