随机剪切柱是指固连于地面的剪切柱的某些物理参数是随机变量 ,该模型在Niigata地震激励下的响应属于演变随机响应。本文将新近发展起来的演变随机响应问题的统一解法 ,推广到用于求解随机结构振动响应问题。首先用这一方法求出每个样本结构的随机响应 ,然后用MonteCarlo法来进一步求随机结构的集合随机响应特性。这样 ,与单纯用Monte Carlo法进行数字模拟相比 ,可使计算工作量大为减少。本文用随机剪切柱的演变随机响应问题加以说明  相似文献

The paper presents an approach for modeling polymer flows with non-slip, slip and changing non-slip — slip boundary conditions at the wall. The model consists of a viscoelastic constitutive equation for polymer flows in the bulk, prediction of the transition from non-slip to sliding boundary conditions, a wall slip model, and a model for the compressibility effects in capillary polymer flows. The bulk viscoelastic constitutive equation contains a hardening parameter which is solely determined by the polymer molecular characteristics. It delimits the conditions for the onset of solid, rubber-like behavior. The non-monotone wall slip model introduced for polymer melts, modifies a slip model derived from a simple stochastic model of interface molecular dynamics for cross-linked elastomers. The predictions for the onset of spurt, as well as the numerical simulations of hysteresis, spurt, and stress oscillations are demonstrated. They are also compared with available data for a high molecular weight, narrow distributed polyisoprene. Expressions for the rheological properties of dilute polymer solutions at low and moderate deformation rates are established through the computation and analysis of exact Zimm's eigenvalues. It is shown that they can be expressed in terms of measurable parameters from intrinsic viscosity data. Under moderate deformation rates one needs to introduce a slippage between the solvent and the smoothed polymer to be able to describe shear-thinning behaviour.  相似文献

The steady-state morphology of an immiscible polymer blend in shear flow has been investigated by optical microscopy techniques. The blend is composed by poly-isobutylene (PIB) and poly-dimethylsiloxane (PDMS) of comparable viscosity. Experiments were performed by means of a home-made transparent parallel plate device. The two plates can be independently counterrotated, so that sheared droplets of the dispersed phase can be kept fixed with respect to the microscope point of view, and observed for long times. The distribution of drops and their average size were measured directly during flow at different shear rates and for different blend compositions. It was found that the average drop size in steady-state conditions is a decreasing function of the applied shear rate, and does not depend on blend composition for volume fractions up to 10%. Experiments have proved that, in the shear rate range which could be investigated, the stationary morphology is controlled only by coalescence phenomena, droplet breakup playing no role in determining the size of the dispersed phase. More generally, it has been shown that the steady-state morphology is a function not only of the physical parameters of the blend and of the shear rate, but also of the initial conditions applied to the blend. The steady-state results reported in this paper constitute the first direct experimental confirmation of theoretical models which describe the mechanisms of shear-induced drop coalescence.  相似文献

The flow of a planar free shear layer with cylindrical bubbles is simulated using a finite difference/front tracking scheme. This approach allows direct numerical simulation of the multiphase flow by wholly incorporating the local bubble flow field in conjunction with the large scale vortical structures of the liquid. The role of large bubbles in modifying low Reynolds number ( 250) shear flow structures is investigated, specifically for bubbles whose diameter approaches the scale of the largest liquid eddies. The results indicate that duration of eddy crossing is the main mechanism for flow modulation, which is typically characterized by decreased vortex coherency and size, modified fluctuation statistics and significant variations in pairing/merging phenomena. The comparison of fluctuating statistics and flow field visualization also allowed qualitative discrimination between the modulation of the non-linear eddy dynamics and fluctuations due simply to the random bubble induced perturbations.  相似文献

A mathematical model for the propagation of longwave perturbations in a freeboundary shear flow of an ideal stratified twolayer fluid is considered. The characteristic equation defining the velocity of perturbation propagation in the fluid is obtained and studied. The necessary hyperbolicity conditions for the equations of motion are formulated for flows with a monotonic velocity profile over depth, and the characteristic form of the system is calculated. It is shown that the problem of deriving the sufficient hyperbolicity conditions is equivalent to solving a system of singular integral equations. The limiting cases of weak and strong stratification are studied. For these models, the necessary and sufficient hyperbolicity conditions are formulated, and the equations of motion are reduced to the Riemann integral invariants conserved along the characteristics.  相似文献

In this paper we study the problem of rectilinear shear of a slab of transversely isotropic incompressible non-linearly elastic material. In particular, the material under consideration is a base neo-Hookean model augmented with a function that accounts for the existence of a unidirectional reinforcement. The slab is of infinite length in two dimensions and finite thickness in the other one and is clamped to two rigid plates. Closed form analytic solutions are found for this problem. It is shown that, depending on the reinforcement strength and the fiber orientation in the undeformed configuration, weak solutions, i.e. solutions for which the smoothness required by the differential equations is relaxed, are to be expected. These solutions give rise to fiber kinking. It is shown that: (i) both sides of the kink involve fiber contraction; (ii) a suitable intermediate deformation between the two conjoined kink deformation states is non-elliptic.  相似文献

Elastic properties of segmented polyurethaneureas (SPUs) under pure shear deformation were investigated. Data were analyzed by using strain energy density function (W). The values of the derivatives of W with respect to the invariants of the strain tensor (I i ; i = 1, 2, 3 ) at zero strain limit were also estimated theoretically and were compared with those estimated by experiment. The limiting value of the derivative with respect to I 1 (W/I 1) was shown theoretically to be 5 G/8, while the derivatives with respect to I 2 and I 3 (W/I 2 and W/I 3 were respectively-G/8 and -3G/8. The theoretical prediction could explain the asymptotic behavior of the derivatives of SPUs as well as isoprene rubber (IR) reported by Kawabata et al. at small I 1 limit.  相似文献

Poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA)/montmorillonite (MMT) nanocomposites were prepared by combining solid-state shear milling (S3M) technology with melt intercalation. Compared with the composite obtained by simple melt intercalation, more MMT layers were exfoliated and apparently oriented along the injection molding direction in the nanocomposite prepared by combining S3M technology and melt intercalation, which greatly increased the orientation degree of MMT, resulting in the greater interactions between PVA and MMT layers. Simultaneously, this also promoted the orientation of PVA molecules and produced effective nucleation of the crystallization of PVA. Consequently, the thermal stability and mechanical properties of PVA were obviously improved. For instance, when the MMT content was 3 wt%, the tensile strength and modulus of the nanocomposite with MMT prepared by S3M were 98.9 MPa and 3.1 GPa, respectively, increasing by 52% and 63.2% compared with PVA.  相似文献
