试油测试射孔管柱的间隙元分析

建立了管柱接触非线性问题的间隙元法。用此方法对试油测试射孔管柱的受力状态进行了分析，并通过现场应用实例证明了此方法的可靠性和准确性。根据此方法开发的应用软件可为井下管柱的结构设计提供理论依据。     

Resonant trapping of scattered light in a degenerate resonator

We demonstrate and discuss the formation of an intriguing interference fringe pattern that is visible in stable resonators at resonator lengths corresponding to a higher-order frequency-degeneracy. The optical trajectories that form these fringes are described for arbitrary degeneracy; the fringes can be used to visualize and quantify imaging aberrations of the cavity relative to a cavity consisting of ideal mirrors.     

Immobilization of the restriction endonuclease PstI

PstI has been immobilized in agarose. A solution of low melting agarose containing 1,6-hexamethylenediamine and PstI formed a gel that was effective in the linearization of pBR322 DNA. The gel containing PstI could be treated with 1,5-bis(N-acetylamino-N-succinimidoxy carbonyl)pentane, a crosslinking agent, without affecting the enzyme activity. Polymerization of acrylamide in presence of PstI led to conisderably reduced enzyme activity, although EcoRI under identical conditions showed high activity. It was found that acetylation of amino groups in PstI, by reaction with hydroxysuccinimide acetate, led to total inactivation of the enzyme activity. This reaction showed the presence of reactive amino groups that were essential for the enzyme activity of PstI. Involvement of these amino groups in binding to activated Sepharose 4B, during covalent immobilization, was responsible for inactive enzyme preparations.

Asymmetric exchange of cyclopalladated ligands: A new route to optically active phosphapalladacycles

An asymmetric version of the cyclopalladated ligand exchange reaction was developed. This procedure involves the use of prochiral phosphines in an aprotic medium. A benzylaminate palladacycle bearing the primary amino group and the bulky But substituent at the C* stereo-center serves as a chirality inductor. Published in Russian in Izvestiya Akademii Nauk. Convex two-level optimization

In this paper a model for a two-level planning problem is presented in the form of a static Stackelberg game. By assumption, play is sequential and noncooperative; however, the leader can influence the actions of the followers through a set of coordination variables while the followers' responses may partly determine the leader's payoff.Under certain convexity assumptions, it is shown that the feasible region induced by the leader is continuous in the original problem variables. This observation, coupled with two corollary results, are used as a basis for a hybrid algorithm which clings to the inducible region until a local optimum is found. A branching scheme is then employed to located other segments of the region, eventually terminating with the global optimum. A number of examples are given to highlight the results, while the algorithm's performance is tested in a comparison with two other procedures.     

Ultrasonic instrument for measuring bolt stress

An ultrasonic instrument for the accurate measurement of bolt stress is described. The instrument, which is based on the pseudo-continuous-wave technique, uses carrier phase detection to track the frequency of the mechanical resonance of the bolt. The basic operation of the instrument and the experimental results obtained are discussed.

Measurement of Focusing Properties of Axially Asymmetric Lenses Using Moire Technique

Most lenses composed of spherical or aspherical surfaces have symmetrical focusing properties about an optical axis. On the other hand, unconventional optical systems such as cylindrical lenses, astigmatic or progressive power glasses have axially asymmetrical focusing properties. In this study, the method of measuring focusing properties by the moire technique is extended to asymmetrical lenses. Some unconventional lenses were experimentally tested, and the focusing power in the interesting region and azimuthal direction of the aperture was evaluated.
