Ruled surfaces with constant terms in the relative Theorema Egregium

Two complete classifications are given: (a) relative surfaces with isoparametric relative shape operator and projectively flat relative induced connection and (b) relative Tchebychev surfaces with constant terms in the relative Theorema Egregium. Both classifications share the occurrence of certain classes of ruled surfaces satisfying these strong conditions with respect to a relative geometry.     

Design and G connection of developable surfaces through Bézier geodesics

For potential application in shoemaking and garment manufacture industries, the G¹ connection of (1, k) developable surfaces with abutting geodesic is important. In this paper, we discuss the developable surface which contains a given 3D Bézier curve as geodesic and prove the corresponding conclusions in detail. Primarily we study G¹ connection of developable surfaces through abutting cubic Bézier geodesics and give some examples.     

On connection coefficients of some perturbed of arbitrary order of the Chebyshev polynomials of second kind

Orthogonal polynomials satisfy a recurrence relation of order two defined by two sequences of coefficients. If we modify one of these recurrence coefficients at a certain order, we obtain the so-called perturbed orthogonal sequence. In this work, we analyse perturbed Chebyshev polynomials of second kind and we deal with the problem of finding the connection coefficients that allow us to write the perturbed sequence in terms of the original one and in terms of the canonical basis. From the connection coefficients obtained, we derive some results about zeros at the origin. The analysis is valid for arbitrary order of perturbation.     

On holonomy of Weyl connections in Lorentzian signature

Holonomy algebras of Weyl connections in Lorentzian signature are classified. In particular, examples of Weyl connections with all possible holonomy algebras are constructed.     

A new result on irreducible NFSRs with respect to cascade connection

Nonlinear feedback shift registers (NFSRs) are widely used in stream cipher design as building blocks. The cascade connection of NFSRs, known as an important architecture, has been adopted in Grain family of stream ciphers. In this paper, a new sufficient condition under which an NFSR cannot be decomposed into the cascade connection of two smaller NFSRs is presented, which is easy to be verified from the algebraic normal form (ANF) of the characteristic function. In fact, our results are also applicable to nonsingular Boolean functions, which actually improve a previous research of Rhodes [6] where the characteristic functions of NFSRs cannot be contained.     

Geometric phase as a simple closed-form integral

For a general evolution of a quantal system, the geometric phase measured with reference to a given initial state is derived as an integral of a function of the pure state density operator by invoking the Pancharatnam connection continuously.
