An impedance method for the measurement of liquid hold-up in two-phase flow

A liquid hold-up gauge based on the measurement of the electrical impedance has been developed for application in gas-liquid pipe flow. The gauge consists of two ring electrodes mounted flush to the pipe wall. The impedance (capacitance or conductance) seen by the electrodes depends on the distance between them and on the liquid hold-up. For distances above three tube diameters, the impedance is independent of the flow configuration for all separated flow patterns and, with good approximation, also for intermittent flows. Moreover, capacitance or conductance are linearly related to the liquid hold-up. The impedance under bubble flow conditions closely follows the theoretical predictions due to Maxwell. Also for the other flow configurations (annular, stratified, intermittent) the results of static and/or dynamic calibration agree closely with theoretical models.

为了解决传统燃气缴费系统在缴费方式上的不灵活、不方便等问题,提出了一种基于WiFi无线网络及Android技术的燃气缴费系统设计;给出了系统的整体框架及其组成,重点阐述了智能燃气表缴费系统的硬件及软件设计思路,定制了燃气表和客户端的通信协议;系统实现了内嵌WiFi模块的智能燃气表的电路设计,基于Android系统的手机客户端软件设计,以及燃气公司服务端的设计,并通过WiFi和GPRS网络建立三者之间的无线通信系统;通过测试,系统能够快速建立通信网络,具有传输数据快、可靠性高的优点。     

Enhanced Immunosensor Using a Handheld pH Meter for the Point-of-Care,Sensitive Detection of Prostate Specific Antigen

An enhanced handheld pH meter based immunosensor was proposed for point-of-care, quantitative determination of prostate specific antigen (PSA). Monoclonal antibody-functionalized magnetic beads (MB-Ab₁) were prepared to capture PSA in sample, and subsequently bond to polyclonal antibody-immobilized gold nanoparticles-polyamide-amine dendrite-lead ion (GO-PAMAM-Pb²⁺) and dispersed in H₂S solution. Based on negative Gibbs free energy of formation, PbS (solubility product constant K_sp=8.0×10⁻²⁸ was formed by reaction of Pb²⁺ and H₂S. Hence, the pH of solution increased due to the H⁺ appeared, and the resulting pH value was monitored by a handheld pH meter.
