An anisotropic model for calculating natural frequency of arterial walls is proposed in this paper. The first-order shear deformation theory (FSDT) is used for the arterial walls, and the wave propagation approach is applied that can easily handle the boundary conditions. Results obtained using this model have been evaluated against those available in the literature and the agreement has been found to be good. Experiments were carried out on a natural rubber latex tube. The relative differences of the first four natural frequencies between the experiment and the theory are less than 7%. The variation of the natural frequency of this tube with the longitudinal and circumferential modes m and n is studied which suggests the first four natural frequencies are with n = 1 and m = 1-4. Simulations show that classical Donnell’s, Love’s and beam theories are not suitable for this thick tube while FSDT results closely agree with the experiment. The anisotropy of circumferential elastic modulus on natural frequencies of the tube is analyzed.  相似文献

We conduct micro-magnetic simulations to study spin-transfer torque induced magnetization switching in perpendicular magnetic tunneling junctions. The effects of current densities and temperatures on the switching processes are studied in details. We then proposed an approach to compute the deterministic switching time by taking thermal-effect into account. The switching time is less temperature-dependent under higher current density; however, as the current density decreases, the effect of temperature on the switching time becomes more and more significant. The switching process with micro-magnetic simulations is shown to be via domain wall nucleation and propagation. The phenomena are consistent with the recent experimental found-out. We further propose a method to compute the switching time based on domain wall nucleation and propagation theory, and compare the switching time with those from macro-spin approximation. It is found the switching times from the micro-magnetic simulations are much shorter than that from the macro-spin approximations. Macro-spin approximation over-estimates the switching times due to its coherent rotation assumptions.  相似文献

为了深入认识竹材细胞壁的精细结构,揭示竹材细胞壁的独特构造,首次应用纳米红外技术(AFM-IR)研究竹材纤维细胞壁的化学成分及其分布,探讨纳米红外技术在竹材细胞壁化学物质分布的研究方法。结果表明,利用纳米红外技术可以实现原位状态下对竹材纤维细胞壁的化学组成进行分析,突破了传统红外光谱技术的衍射极限,获得纳米级的红外光谱;纳米红外技术采集的光谱与显微红外技术相比,谱峰位置基本相同,能正确反映竹材细胞壁的化学信息;纳米红外技术是竹材细胞壁化学成分纳米分布的有效研究方法。  相似文献

In this paper the quantum hyperbolic equation formulated in our earlier paper [Found. Phys. Lett. 10, 599 (1997)] is applied to the study of the propagation of the initial thermal state of the universe. It is shown that the propagation depends on the barrier height. The Planck wall potential is introduced,V P = ħ/8tP = 1.125 1018 GeV, wheret P is a Planck time. For the barrier heightV <V P , the master thermal equation isthe modified telegrapher’sequation, and for barrier heightV >V P the master equation is theKlein- Gordon equation. 为了研究脉冲等离子体推力器羽流污染特性,把握脉冲等离子体推力器羽流沉积薄膜性质,利用质谱仪对推力器羽流残余气体成分进行了分析,利用红外傅里叶光谱、光电子能谱及紫外可见光分光光度计对推力器羽流区阴极侧不同方位角处沉积薄膜的结构及光学性质进行了诊断研究结果表明,推力器羽流中主要存在C,F,CF,CF2和CF3气体分子;在各方位角处脉冲等离子体推力器羽流沉积生成了低氟碳比碳氟薄膜;沉积薄膜微观结构以30°角为界在羽流不同区域中具有不同的变化趋势;羽流沉积薄膜具有对波长小于500 nm的光低透射率及增强反射率的光学特性,受薄膜性质的影响,其光学特性具有极大的角度依赖性.  相似文献

Objectives

The purpose of this study was to (a) investigate the image quality of phase-sensitive dual-inversion recovery (PS-DIR) coronary wall imaging in healthy subjects and in subjects with known coronary artery disease (CAD) and to (b) investigate the utilization of PS-DIR at 3 T in the assessment of coronary artery thickening in subjects with asymptomatic but variable degrees of CAD.

Materials and Methods

A total of 37 subjects participated in this institutional review board-approved and HIPAA-compliant study. These included 21 subjects with known CAD as identified on multidetector computed tomography angiography (MDCT). Sixteen healthy subjects without known history of CAD were included. All subjects were scanned using free-breathing PS-DIR magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) for the assessment of coronary wall thickness at 3 T. Lumen–tissue contrast-to-noise ratio (CNR), signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and quantitative vessel parameters including lumen area and wall thickness were measured. Statistical analyses were performed.

Results

PS-DIR was successfully completed in 76% of patients and in 88% of the healthy subjects. Phase-sensitive signed-magnitude reconstruction, compared to modulus-magnitude images, significantly improved lumen–tissue CNR in healthy subjects (26.73 ± 11.95 vs. 14.65 ± 9.57, P < .001) and in patients (21.45 ± 7.61 vs. 16.65 ± 5.85, P < .001). There was no difference in image CNR and SNR between groups. In arterial segments free of plaques, coronary wall was thicker in patients in comparison to healthy subjects (1.74 ± 0.27 mm vs. 1.17 ± 0.14 mm, P < .001), without a change in lumen area (4.51 ± 2.42 mm2 vs. 5.71 ± 3.11 mm2, P = .25).

Conclusions

This is the first study to demonstrate the feasibility of successfully obtaining vessel wall images at 3 T using PS-DIR in asymptomatic patients with known variable degrees of CAD as detected by MDCT. This was achieved with a fixed subject-invariant planning of blood signal nulling. With that limitation alleviated, PS-DIR coronary wall MRI is capable of detecting arterial thickening and positive arterial remodeling at 3 T in asymptomatic CAD.  相似文献

The surface of a living yeast cell (Saccharomyces cerevisiae strain W303-1A) has been labeled with silver (Ag) nanoparticles that can form nanoaggregates which have been shown to have surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) activity. The cell wall of a single living yeast cell has been imaged by use of a Raman microspectroscope. The SERS spectra measured from different Ag nanoaggregates were found to be different. This can be explained on the basis of detailed spectral interpretation. The SERS spectral response originates from mannoproteins which cover the outermost regions of the yeast cell wall. Analysis of SERS spectra from the cell wall and the extracted mannoproteins from the yeast has been performed for the clarification of variation in SERS spectra.  相似文献

A new series of ferroelectric liquid crystals and side chain liquid crystalline polymers based on halogen-containing chiral centres has been synthesized. Chemical structures were analysed by NMR. Liquid crystal phases were characterized by differential scanning calorimetry, optical polarizing microscopy, and X-ray diffractometry. The behaviour of the liquid crystalline phases was investigated as a function of spacer units and differing terminal asymmetric moieties. It was found that phase transition temperatures decreased with increasing length of the oligooxyethylene spacer unit. Differing terminal asymmetric moieties led to differing mesophase phenomena. Furthermore, a wide temperature range (including room temperature) of a chiral smectic C phase was achieved.  相似文献
