Perfect fluid Friedmann-Robertson-Walker quantum cosmological models for an arbitrary barotropic equation of state p = are constructed using Schutz's variational formalism. In this approach the notion of time can be recovered. By superposition of stationary states, finite-norm wave-packet solutions to the Wheeler-DeWitt equation are found. The behaviour of the scale factor is studied by applying the many-worlds and the ontological interpretations of quantum mechanics. Singularity-free models are obtained for < 1. Integrable dynamical systems, namely those having as many independent conserved quantities as freedoms, have all Lyapunov
exponents equal to zero. Locally, the instantaneous or finite time Lyapunov exponents are nonzero, but owing to a symmetry,
their global averages vanish. When the system becomes nonintegrable, this symmetry is broken. A parallel to this phenomenon
occurs in mappings which derive from quasiperiodic Schr?dinger problems in 1-dimension. For values of the energy such that
the eigenstate is extended, the Lyapunov exponent is zero, while if the eigenstate is localized, the Lyapunov exponent becomes
negative. This occurs by a breaking of the quasiperiodic symmetry of local Lyapunov exponents, and corresponds to a breaking
of a symmetry of the wavefunction in extended and critical states.

We study the propagation of the light mesons σ,ω,ρ, and a0(980) in dense hadronic matter in an extended derivative scalar coupling model. Within the scheme proposed it is possible
to unambiguously define effective density-dependent couplings at the Lagrangian level. We first apply the model to study asymmetric
nuclear matter with fixed isospin asymmetry, and then we pay particular attention to hypermatter in β-equilibrium. The equation
of state and the potential contribution to the symmetry coefficient arising from the mean-field approximation are investigated.

Effective magnetic properties of a composite meta-material consisting of periodically arranged circular conductive elements
are studied theoretically. A general expression for the effective bulk permeability is obtained with mutual effects and lattice
ordering being taken into account. The resonance frequency of the permeability is found to be strongly dependent on the size
and shape of the unit cell. Frequency dispersion of the permeability is studied with special attention paid to the frequency
range, where negative values of the permeability are possible. Corresponding recommendations for optimisation of the meta-materials
with negative permeability are made. The results are confirmed by numerical simulations of the finite structure behaviour
in an external magnetic field.

We introduce a relaxation collision operator for a mixture of gases which satisfies several fundamental properties. Different BGK type collision operators for gas mixtures have been introduced earlier but none of them could satisfy all the basic physical properties: positivity, correct exchange coefficients, entropy inequality, indifferentiability principle. We show that all those properties are verified for our model, and we derive its Navier–Stokes limit by a Chapman–Enskog expansion. 相似文献

Based on the theory of the compound nucleus reaction, a brief review is given on the special aspects of the reaction dynamics
in the synthesis of the superheavy elements (SHE), where the fusion probability is the most unknown factor. A new viewpoint
of the fusion reaction is proposed that it consists of two processes; the first process up to the contact of two nuclei of
the incident channel and the second one of a dynamical evolution to the spherical compound nucleus from the contact configuration.
The fusion probability is, thus, given as a product of a contact probability and a formation probability. Analytic studies
of the latter probability are discussed in the one-dimensional model, where a simple expression is given to the so-called
extra-push energy in terms of the reduced friction, the curvature parameter of the conditional saddle point and the nuclear
temperature. Preliminary results of numerical analyses of the contact probability are given, using the surface friction model
(SFM). Remarks are given on the present status of our knowledge and for future developments.

Certain features in Frenkel-Kontorova and other models of phases with a one-dimensional modulation can be analyzed by assuming parallel interfaces separating sets of lattice planes belonging to two different phases, and treating the free energy to create interfaces, as well as the interaction of two, three, or more interfaces, as phenomenological parameters. A strategy employed by Fisher and Szpilka for interacting defects can be extended to the case of interfaces, allowing a systematic study of the phase diagram by ignoring all interface interactions, and then successively taking into account pair, triple, and higher-order terms. The possible phase diagrams which can occur near the point where =0 include: various sorts of endpoints analogous to critical endpoints, an accumulation point of first-order transitions and triple points, and a self-similar structure which we call an upsilon point, which turns out to be an accumulation point of an infinite number of segments of first-order transition lines, each of which terminates in two upsilon points. 相似文献

The COVID-19 pandemic has raised many questions on how to manage an epidemiological and economic crisis around the world. Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, scientists and policy makers have been asking how effective lockdowns are in preventing and controlling the spread of the virus. In the absence of vaccines, the regulators lacked any plausible alternatives. Nevertheless, after the introduction of vaccinations, to what extent the conclusions of these analyses are still valid should be considered. In this paper, we present a study on the effect of vaccinations within the dynamic stochastic general equilibrium model with an agent-based epidemic component. Thus, we validated the results regarding the need to use lockdowns as an efficient tool for preventing and controlling epidemics that were obtained in November 2020. 相似文献
