A method that incorporates cardiorespiratory-gated 2DFT spin-echo imaging with blood flow enhancement suppression is described which enables high resolution microimaging of the rodent heart. This methodology was applied to obtain in vivo cardiac mouse and rat images with in-plane resolutions of 100–200 μm using high field vertical bore magnet systems. Suppression of intraventricular blood flow enhancement was achieved using a combined spin-echo/gradient-refocussed sequence to dephase magnetization from flowing spins prior to imaging.  相似文献

The plastic flow of a foam results from bubble rearrangements. We study their occurrence in experiments where a foam is forced to flow in 2D: around an obstacle; through a narrow hole; or sheared between rotating disks. We describe their orientation and frequency using a topological matrix defined in the companion paper (F. Graner, B. Dollet, C. Raufaste, and P. Marmottant, this issue, 25 (2008) DOI 10.1140/epje/i2007-10298-8), which links them with continuous plasticity at large scale. We then suggest a phenomenological equation to predict the plastic strain rate: its orientation is determined from the foam's local elastic strain; and its rate is determined from the foam's local elongation rate. We obtain a good agreement with statistical measurements. This enables us to describe the foam as a continuous medium with fluid, elastic and plastic properties. We derive its constitutive equation, then test several of its terms and predictions.  相似文献

In this study, we have investigated the dynamics of non-static Gödel type rotating universe with massive scalar field, viscous fluid and heat flow in the presence of cosmological constant. For various cosmic matter forms, the behavior of the cosmological constant (Λ), shear (η) and bulk (ξ) viscosity coefficients and other kinematic quantities have studied in the early universe. We have showed the decay of massive scalar field in the non-static rotating Gödel type universe and we have obtained constant scalar field with and without source density. Also, we have investigated the effects of massive scalar field on the matter density and pressure. From solutions of the field equations, we have a cosmological model with non-zero expansion, shear, heat flux and rotation. Also some physical and geometrical aspects of the model discussed.  相似文献

A hydrogen atom transfer-directed electrochemical intramolecular C−H amination has been developed in which the N-radical species are generated at the anode, and the base required for the reaction is generated at the cathode. A broad range of valuable pyrrolidines were prepared in good yields and with high chemoselectivity. The reaction was easily scaled up in both batch and continuous flow systems.  相似文献

Superhalogens, owing to their large electron affinity (EA, exceeding those of any halogen atom), play an essential role in physical chemistry as well as new material design. They have applications in hydrogen storage and lithium-ion batteries. Owing to the unique geometries and electronic features of magnesium-based clusters, their potential to form a new class of lithium salts has been investigated here theoretically. The idea is assessed by conducting ab initio computations on Li+/MgnF2n+1-2mOm compounds (n=2, 3; m=0-3) and analyzing their performance as potential Li-ion battery electrolytes. The Mg3F7 cluster, with large electron binding energy (EA of 7.93 eV), has been proven to serve as a building block for lithium salts. It is shown that, apart from high electronic stability, the new superhalogen-based electrolytes exhibit a set of desirable properties, including a large band gap, high electrolyte stability window, easy mobility of the Li+, and favorable insensitivity to water.  相似文献

A numerical method to simulate plasma induced electrohydrodynamic flow is proposed in this study. The numerical model consists of three components. Firstly, a potential module to simulate temporal potential and electric field generated in the ionized fluid. Secondly, a plasma module to simulate plasma development and charge particle densities. Finally, a fluid module to simulate the flow affected by the body forces induced by the movement of the charged particles. Fluid flow is modeled using modified predictor-corrector strategy as proposed in the marker and cell method. The velocity field was corrected to achieve incompressible flow by calculating pressure correction factors, considered in all cells. Numerical convergence and time sensitivity analysis were carried to confirm grid independence and determine an efficient time step for simulations. Numerical computations are validated by comparing with experimental results of discharge currents and current densities. They were found to be in very good agreement thus providing an extensive validation. Furthermore, quiescent flow over a dielectric barrier discharge actuator is simulated in the this study, using the proposed plasma-fluid model, to model flow evolution and resolve temporal flow features for detailed analysis. The streamline and vorticity plots were analyzed and compared with experimental results, and flow results were found to be in-line with the experiments.  相似文献

We present a hybridized discontinuous Galerkin (HDG) method for the incompressible Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes equations coupled with the Spalart-Allmaras one-equation turbulence model. The method extends upon an HDG method recently introduced by Rhebergen and Wells for the incompressible Navier-Stokes equations. With a special choice of velocity and pressure spaces for both element and trace degrees of freedom (DOFs), the method returns pointwise divergence-free mean velocity fields and properly balances momentum and energy. We further examine the use of different polynomial degrees and meshes to see how the order of the scalar eddy viscosity affects the convergence of the mean velocity and pressure fields, specifically for the method of manufactured solutions. As is standard with HDG methods, static condensation can be employed to remove the element DOFs and thus dramatically reduce the global number of DOFs. Numerical results illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed methodology.  相似文献

By applying advanced telecommunication solid state devices to microwave (MW) resonant cavity system for flow chemistry, it becomes possible to heat up low polarity solvents higher than 250 C, that are considered impossible to heat up by MW until now. This paper reports on the numerical investigations of Taylor-Couette flow of radius ratio η = 0.25–0.6 performed at low Reynolds numbers Re = 100–200. The inner cylinder and the bottom end-wall rotate, while the outer cylinder and the top end-wall are held fixed. A fully 3D DNS code based on the spectral Chebyshev – Fourier approximation is used. This study is complementary to those of Mullin and Blohm (Phys. of Fluids 2001, vol 13, 136–140) and Lopez et al. (J. Fluid Mech. 2004, vol 501, 327–354) where investigations have been performed for radius ratio 0.5. The 1-cell and 3-cell structures found by these authors are shown to exist for a wide range of radius ratios, and the transition processes between them are qualitatively similar. These structures show hysteresis, disappearing at saddle-node bifurcations which connect at a cusp point in the (Re, Γ) plane. This cusp exists for the entire range of 0.1 < η < 0.75, and it traces out a parabolic curve in the (Re, Γ) plane, reaching a minimum Re at η = 0.375. The detailed 3D DNS computations provide a lot of new information about such phenomena as the modulated rotating wave, the period doubling cascade and homoclinic collision. The results show that the period doubling bifurcation is important in the flow when the radius ratio is close to η = 0.375.  相似文献
