Exceptional Θ-Correspondences I

Let G be either a split SO(2n+2), or a split adjoint group of type En, (n=6,7,8), over a p-adic field. In this article we study correspondences arising by restricting the minimal representation of G to various dual pairs in G.     

Invariant sets and Lyapunov pairs for differential inclusions with maximal monotone operators

We give different conditions for the invariance of closed sets with respect to differential inclusions governed by a maximal monotone operator defined on Hilbert spaces, which is subject to a Lipschitz continuous perturbation depending on the state. These sets are not necessarily weakly closed as in [3], [4], while the invariance criteria are still written by using only the data of the system. So, no need to the explicit knowledge of neither the solution of this differential inclusion, nor the semi-group generated by the maximal monotone operator. These invariant/viability results are next applied to derive explicit criteria for a-Lyapunov pairs of lower semi-continuous (not necessarily weakly-lsc) functions associated to these differential inclusions. The lack of differentiability of the candidate Lyapunov functions and the consideration of general invariant sets (possibly not convex or smooth) are carried out by using techniques from nonsmooth analysis.     

Properties of mono-weakly hyponormal 2-variable weighted shifts

In this paper, we study several properties for mono-weakly hyponormal 2-variable weighted shifts. First, we consider propagation phenomena for mono-weakly hyponormal (resp. mono-polynomially hyponormal) 2-variable weighted shifts. Next, we contemplate the mono-weak hyponormality under the Schur product. Finally, we study whether the mono-weak hyponormality is invariant under powers.

在G-度量空间的框架下,利用自映象对的非相容性和（Ag）型R-弱交换性条件,在既不要求空间的完备性,也不要求映象连续的条件下,建立了一类？-压缩条件下的4个映象的几个新的公共不动点定理,此定理在很大程度上改进和发展了已有文献的相关结果.     

极大3限制边连通二部图的充分条件

设G=(V,E)是一个连通图.称一个边集合S■E是一个k限制边割,如果G-S的每个连通分支至少有k个顶点.称G的所有k限制边割中所含边数最少的边割的基数为G的k限制边连通度,记为λ_k(G).定义ξ_k(G)=min{[X,■]:|X|=k,G[X]连通,■=V(G)\X}.称图G是极大k限制边连通的,如果λ_k(G)=ξ_k(G).本文给出了围长为g>6的极大3限制边连通二部图的充分条件.     

Symmetry in the geometry of metric contact pairs

We prove that the universal covering of a complete locally symmetric normal metric contact pair manifold with decomposable ? is a Calabi‐Eckmann manifold or the Riemannian product of a sphere and . We show that a complete, simply connected, normal metric contact pair manifold with decomposable ?, such that the foliation induced by the vertical subbundle is regular and reflections in the integral submanifolds of the vertical subbundle are isometries, is the product of globally ?‐symmetric spaces or the product of a globally ?‐symmetric space and . Moreover in the first case the manifold fibers over a locally symmetric space endowed with a symplectic pair.     

Gorenstein Flat Covers over GF-Closed Rings

We prove that all modules over a left GF-closed ring have Gorenstein flat covers.     

A Note on the Envelopes of an Associative Pair

Abstract

The aim of this work is to provide characterizations, up to isomorphism, of the standard embedding and the Lister enveloping of an associative pair. We shall obtain it using basic facts on homological algebra. This paper intends to simplify the use of both envelopes.     

Exceptional set of a representation with fractional powers

We prove that for any given c, 1 < c < 17/11, almost all natural numbers are representable in the form [x ^c] + [p ^c], where x is a natural number and p is a prime.     

The π-π-theorem for manifold pairs with boundaries

The surgery obstruction of a normal map to a simple Poincaré pair (X, Y) lies in the relative surgery obstruction group L _*(π ₁(Y) → π ₁(X)). A well-known result of Wall, the so-called π-π-theorem, states that in higher dimensions a normal map of a manifold with boundary to a simple Poincaré pair with π ₁(X) ? π ₁(Y) is normally bordant to a simple homotopy equivalence of pairs. In order to study normal maps to a manifold with a submanifold, Wall introduced the surgery obstruction groups LP _* for manifold pairs and splitting obstruction groups LS _*. In the present paper, we formulate and prove for manifold pairs with boundary results similar to the π-π-theorem. We give direct geometric proofs, which are based on the original statements of Wall’s results and apply obtained results to investigate surgery on filtered manifolds.
