Huge Tunneling Magnetoresistance in Magnetic Tunnel Junction with Heusler Alloy Co2MnSi Electrodes 下载免费PDF全文
Magnetic tunnel junction with a large tunneling magnetoresistance has attracted great attention due to its importance in the spintronics applications. By performing extensive density functional theory calculations combined with the nonequilibrium Green's function method, we explore the spin-dependent transport properties of a magnetic tunnel junction, in which a non-polar SrTiO$_{3}$ barrier layer is sandwiched between two Heusler alloy Co$_{2}$MnSi electrodes. Theoretical results clearly reveal that the near perfect spin-filtering effect appears in the parallel magnetization configuration. The transmission coefficient in the parallel magnetization configuration at the Fermi level is several orders of magnitude larger than that in the antiparallel magnetization configuration, resulting in a huge tunneling magnetoresistance (i.e. $>10^6$), which originates from the coherent spin-polarized tunneling, due to the half-metallic nature of Co$_{2}$MnSi electrodes and the significant spin-polarization of the interfacial Ti 3d orbital. 相似文献

The thrust produced by lateral jet systems has been successfully used for several years to control the flight trajectory, i.e., the maneuverability of spacecraft in the high atmosphere and in orbit. Recently this technology has also been applied to projectiles and rockets flying in the low atmosphere from sea level up to more than 10 km. At ISL, investigations have been performed with a 90 mm caliber full-scale projectile in order to study a special side jet controlling system at flight speeds of about 1500 m/s, i.e., Mach number
at altitudes of 1.5 and 7.5 km. The High Energy ISL Shock Tunnel facility is used as a ground testing facility in which the flow around the projectile is studied at fully duplicated flight conditions. In the test facility the projectile is fixed inside the test chamber and the atmospheric air is set in motion flowing around the projectile test model. The air flow is generated in the ISL Shock Tunnel STB which is equipped for this purpose with a divergent square nozzle with an exit side length of 184 mm. A lateral gas jet is produced by combusting a solid propellant in a combustion chamber, placed inside the projectile. The powder gases are blown out laterally via a nozzle, creating a complex flow field by the interaction of the lateral jet with the external cross flow. Differential interferometry is used to visualize the behavior of the external flow field distorted by the lateral jet outflow. Numerical simulations have been performed based on steady state computations using the conservation equations of mass, momentum and energy. This was done to theoretically predict the development of the flow field around the projectile under the influence of the side jet. The wide variation in correlations available in the literature for predicting water evaporation rates in a moving air stream necessitated a new investigation to determine which correlations can be considered reliable. Water evaporation measurements were made from a heated pool (a class-A pan) into a low speed wind tunnel. The evaporation regime examined combined turbulent free and turbulent forced convection over the range 0.1 < Grm/Re2 < 10.0. The data includes the range in which combined convection modes are important, as well as the limits where either free or forced convection effects may dominate. The data are compared to several evaporation correlations based on laboratory wind tunnel data. These historical correlations do not produce consistent estimates in predicting evaporation rates. It is believed that the apparent inconsistencies arise because many correlations do not adequately describe the appropriate evaporation regimes for which they are valid. A new correlation using the combined free/forced convection Sherwood number has been developed to predict evaporation rates for a moving air stream. This correlation allows the results of this study to be extended to other evaporating conditions (i.e. variation in surface geometry and air turbulence levels) than those described here. For a 95% confidence limit, the Sherwood number correlation matches the data within ±7.9%. 相似文献
