Summary: In this article we analyze in how far semiflexible behavior enhances the differences in the properties of classes of polymers whose topological structure varies. We focus on three pairs of macromolecular classes: stars vs. chains, unknotted rings vs. rings with one knot (trefoils), and stars vs. unknotted rings. For this we determine the mean-square radii of gyration and the bond-bond correlation functions through Monte Carlo simulations which use the bond fluctuation model. We show that introducing semiflexibility magnifies the differences between experimentally measurable quantities and may even lead to qualitative changes. Our simulation results are supported by theoretical studies which make use of the maximum entropy principle. 相似文献

Static aeroelastic and flutter characteristics of an aircraft composite wing with high aspect ratio were analysed by an effective Computational Fluid Dynamics and Computational Structure Dynamics coupled method. Effects of stiffness distribution on aeroelastic characteristics were considered. Honeycomb core sandwich composite was considered to be equivalent to an orthotropic material by stiffness and inertance equivalent method to allow highly efficient numerical simulation, which was used for analysis of bending and torsional stiffness distribution. The results showed that the redistributed aerodynamic load leads to a decrease of pressure difference between the upper and lower airfoils. The flutter speed of the composite wing is near 0.64 Ma. Both bending and torsional stiffness increases with a small increase of beam size. Stiffness of the wing root has a major influence generally on the static aeroelastic characteristics. Both the lift coefficient and the loss percent decrease with a small increase of beam size. Effects of stiffness distribution on frequency are not obvious. Flutter speed remains close to the initial value when the beam size is changed. 相似文献

Conformational changes in cyclic and linear chains triggered by increasing chain stiffness are explored using MC simulations. The transition to the rigid strained objects is continuous and steeper for cycles. Circular macromolecules of contour length equal to ≈5 persistence lengths are characterized as rigid strained objects with a lowered spatial dimensionality. The coil regime is almost omitted in the static structure factor already for semiflexible chains of both architectures and the flattening of stiffer cycles is evidenced by oscillations superimposed on the rod‐like behavior of corresponding linear chains. The orientational correlation function shows qualitative difference in behavior of cyclic and linear chains.

Polarized Raman spectroscopy has been employed to study the reorientational, or more specifically the translational relaxation dynamics, of alcohol molecules in pure liquids and aqueous solutions. It is found from the spectral width measurements that alcohol molecules in pure liquids have typically translational relaxation times on the order of picoseconds, following the order methanol < ethanol < i‐propanol < n‐propanol. Temperature‐dependent measurements show that hydrogen‐bonding (HB) and hydrophobic interactions control the translational motion. The hydrophobic interaction reduces the relaxation time more apparently in view of the CH3 group than the skeleton motion. For alcohol–water mixtures, the increase of water concentration generally slows down the relaxation process in a non‐monotonic behavior. However, the trend stops at a certain point and the motion of alcohol molecules becomes faster when the alcohol concentration further drops. Different mechanisms have been proposed to interpret these observations, which might be helpful to gain deeper insight into the HB networks of alcohols with water. 在大多数情况下机械振动是有害的,它不仅产生噪声还会降低设备的工作精度和使用寿命.采用正刚度特性的吸振、隔振系统往往难以达到满意效果,这种情况在低频振动控制系统中尤其明显.放大机构与负刚度元件在振动控制领域均表现出良好性能,但是较少有对同时含有放大机构与负刚度装置的动力吸振系统的研究.以Voigt型动力吸振器为基础提出了一种将放大机构应用于含负刚度弹簧元件的动力吸振器模型,对该模型的最优参数进行了研究.首先建立了系统的运动微分方程并得到了其解析解,发现该系统存在两个固定点,利用固定点理论得到了动力吸振器的最优频率比.根据负刚度的特性,在保证系统稳定的前提下得到了最优负刚度比,并推导了系统的近似最优阻尼比.通过数值仿真验证了解析解的正确性.与多种动力吸振器在简谐激励与随机激励下进行了对比,说明了本文模型相比于已有的动力吸振器,能够大幅降低共振振幅、拓宽减振频带并且降低系统的谐振频率,为设计新型动力吸振器模型提供了理论依据. 相似文献
