Minimum Evaporation Model of Dermatological Delivery Systems. Lamellar Liquid Crystal Formulations Containing Brazilian Nut (Bertholletia excelsa HBK) Vegetable Oil and Guarana Glycolic Extract

Formulations with lyotropic liquid crystals were prepared from a Brazilian nut vegetable oil, guarana extract and combination of sorbitan monooleate (Span 80) and sorbitan monolaurate ethoxylate EO 20 (Tween 20) in the ratio 1:3 (surfactant component) and their physical–chemical aspects and rheological properties were determined. Compositions with liquid crystals were found in the pseudoternary diagram in a surfactant range of 70–90% and polarized light microscopy, small-angle x-ray scattering (SAXS) showed them to be lamellar. The preparations were furthermore characterized rheologically by shear stress shear rate sweeps finding plastic and pseudoplastic behavior without thixotropy. Electric conductivity and pH measurements demonstrated a potential for future application as dermatological delivery system of the active compounds in the Bertholletia excelsa and Paullinia cupana.      

On Symmetric Cayley Graphs of Valency Eleven

A Cayley graph Γ=Cay(G,S)is said to be normal if G is normal in Aut Γ.In this paper,we investigate the normality problem of the connected 11-valent symmetric Cayley graphs Γ of finite nonabelian simple groups G,where the vertex stabilizer Av is soluble for A=Aut Γ and v ∈ VΓ.We prove that either Γ is normal or G=A5,A10,A54,A274,A549 or A1099.Further,11-valent symmetric nonnormal Cayley graphs of A5,A54 and A274 are constructed.This provides some more examples of nonnormal 11-valent symmetric Cayley graphs of finite nonabelian simple groups after the first graph of this kind(of valency 11)was constructed by Fang,Ma and Wang in 2011.

Observation of chimera patterns in a network of symmetric chaotic finance systems

The economic and financial systems consist of many nonlinear factors that make them behave as the complex systems. Recently many chaotic finance systems have been proposed to study the complex dynamics of finance as a noticeable problem in economics. In fact, the intricate structure between financial institutions can be obtained by using a network of financial systems. Therefore, in this paper, we consider a ring network of coupled symmetric chaotic finance systems, and investigate its behavior by varying the coupling parameters. The results show that the coupling strength and range have significant effects on the behavior of the coupled systems, and various patterns such as the chimera and multi-chimera states are observed. Furthermore, changing the parameters' values, remarkably influences on the oscillators attractors. When several synchronous clusters are formed, the attractors of the synchronized oscillators are symmetric, but different from the single oscillator attractor.

一类非线性矩阵方程对称解的双迭代算法

利用逆矩阵的Neumann级数形式,将在Schur插值问题中遇到的含未知矩阵二次项之逆的非线性矩阵方程转化为高次多项式矩阵方程,然后采用牛顿算法求高次多项式矩阵方程的对称解,并采用修正共轭梯度法求由牛顿算法每一步迭代计算导出的线性矩阵方程的对称解或者对称最小二乘解,建立求非线性矩阵方程的对称解的双迭代算法.双迭代算法仅要求非线性矩阵方程有对称解,不要求它的对称解唯一,也不对它的系数矩阵做附加限定.数值算例表明,双迭代算法是有效的.
