We introduce two classes of egg type domains, built on general bounded sym-metric domains, for which we obtain the Bergman kernel in explicit formulas. As an aux-iliary tool, we compute the integral of complex powers of the generic norm on a boundedsymmetric domains using the well-known integral of Selberg. We define symmetric spaces in arbitrary dimension and over arbitrary non-discrete topological fields
, and we construct manifolds and symmetric spaces associated to topological continuous quasi-inverse Jordan pairs and -triple systems. This class of spaces, called smooth generalized projective geometries, generalizes the well-known (finite or infinite-dimensional) bounded symmetric domains as well as their ‘compact-like’ duals. d-module with the one dimensional sign module when the ground field has positive characteristic. Kleshchev proved the Mullineux conjecture in 1996. In the present article we provide a new proof of the Mullineux conjecture which is entirely independent of Kleshchev's approach. Applying the representation theory of the supergroup GL(m | n) and the supergroup analogue of Schur-Weyl Duality it becomes straightforward to calculate the combinatorial effect of tensoring with the sign representation and, hence, to verify Mullineux's conjecture.
