Widely used regression approaches in modeling quantitative structure-property relationships, such as PLS regression, are highly susceptible to outlying observations that will impair the prognostic value of a model. Our aim is to compile homogeneous datasets as the basis for regression modeling by removing outlying compounds and applying variable selection. We investigate different approaches to create robust, outlier-resistant regression models in the field of prediction of drug molecules' permeability. The objective is to join the strength of outlier detection and variable elimination increasing the predictive power of prognostic regression models. In conclusion, outlier detection is employed to identify multiple, homogeneous data subsets for regression modeling.  相似文献

The heat transfer phenomenon subject to thermos-diffusion effects convey important applications in the heating processes, extrusion systems, chemical processes and various engineering systems. The objective of current work is to observe the contribution of Soret and Dufour effects in oscillating shield for cross diffusion flow. The perpendicular shield with oscillating motion induced the flow. The magnitude of oscillations is assumed to be small so that laminar flow due to oscillating shield has been resulted. The motivations for addressing the thermos-diffusion phenomenon due to oscillating of shield are due to applications in oscillatory pumps, moving surface, metal detectors, power systems etc. The dimensionless problem is obtained via introducing the appropriate set of variables. The numerical outcomes are suggested by using the most interesting explicit finite difference scheme. The physical illustration for flow parameters is presented. Moreover, the aspect of physical quantities involving the flow are graphically reported.  相似文献

该文提出了一种基于太赫兹时域光谱的水稻种子模式识别方法。实验以10种不同品牌混合掺假的水稻种子为样本,基于采集的样本太赫兹时域光谱数据,通过建立Relief、随机森林(RF)、支持向量机递归特征消除(SVM-RFE)和最大相关最小冗余(mRMR)模型分别对样本光谱波长进行特征选择,最后设计分类器对4种特征选择方法处理后的样本进行分类识别。结果表明,基于布谷鸟算法(CS)优化的极限学习机模型对经RF特征选择算法提取后的样本光谱数据具有最佳识别效果,其准确率可达100%,实验对于法庭科学领域内种子的掺假鉴定具有一定的借鉴意义。  相似文献

In the case of the boundary value problem for a singularly perturbed convection-diffusion parabolic equation, conditioning of an ε-uniformly convergent finite difference scheme on a piecewise uniform grid is examined. Conditioning of a finite difference scheme on a uniform grid is also examined provided that this scheme is convergent. For the condition number of the scheme on a piecewise uniform grid, an ε-uniform bound O 1 ?2 lnδ 1 ?1 + δ 0 ?1 ) is obtained, where δ1 and δ0 are the error components due to the approximation of the derivatives with respect to x and t, respectively. Thus, this scheme is ε-uniformly well-conditioned. For the condition number of the scheme on a uniform grid, we have the estimate O?1δ 1 ?2 + δ 0 ?1 ); this scheme is not ε-uniformly well-conditioned. In the case of the difference scheme on a uniform grid, there is an additional error due to perturbations of the grid solution; this error grows unboundedly as ε → 0, which reduces the accuracy of the grid solution (the number of correct significant digits in the grid solution is reduced). The condition numbers of the matrices of the schemes under examination are the same; both have an order of O?1δ 1 ?2 + δ 0 ?1 ). Neither the matrix of the ε-uniformly convergent scheme nor the matrix of the scheme on a uniform grid is ε-uniformly well-conditioned.  相似文献

We show that domains of non-trivial trees have members. Using this, we show that smooth treeable equivalence relations have Borel transversals, and essentially countable treeable equivalence relations have Borel complete countable sections. We show also that treeable equivalence relations which are ccc idealistic, measured, or generated by a Borel action of a Polish group have Borel complete countable sections.

Learning function relations or understanding structures of data lying in manifolds embedded in huge dimensional Euclidean spaces is an important topic in learning theory. In this paper we study the approximation and learning by Gaussians of functions defined on a d-dimensional connected compact C Riemannian submanifold of which is isometrically embedded. We show that the convolution with the Gaussian kernel with variance σ provides the uniform approximation order of O(σ s ) when the approximated function is Lipschitz s ∈(0, 1]. The uniform normal neighborhoods of a compact Riemannian manifold play a central role in deriving the approximation order. This approximation result is used to investigate the regression learning algorithm generated by the multi-kernel least square regularization scheme associated with Gaussian kernels with flexible variances. When the regression function is Lipschitz s, our learning rate is (log2 m)/m) s/(8 s + 4 d) where m is the sample size. When the manifold dimension d is smaller than the dimension n of the underlying Euclidean space, this rate is much faster compared with those in the literature. By comparing approximation orders, we also show the essential difference between approximation schemes with flexible variances and those with a single variance. We give an error analysis of Strang-type splitting integrators for nonlinear Schrödinger equations. For Schrödinger-Poisson equations with an -regular solution, a first-order error bound in the norm is shown and used to derive a second-order error bound in the norm. For the cubic Schrödinger equation with an -regular solution, first-order convergence in the norm is used to obtain second-order convergence in the norm. Basic tools in the error analysis are Lie-commutator bounds for estimating the local error and -conditional stability for error propagation, where for the Schrödinger-Poisson system and for the cubic Schrödinger equation.
