An interacting capillary bundle model is developed for analysing immiscible displacement processes in porous media. In this model, pressure equilibration among the capillaries is stipulated and capillary forces are included. This feature makes the model entirely different from the traditional tube bundle models in which fluids in different capillaries are independent of each other. In this work, displacements of a non-wetting phase by a wetting phase at different injection rates were analysed using the interacting capillary bundle model. The predicted evolutions of saturation profiles were consistent with both numerical simulation and experimental results for porous media reported in literature which cannot be re-produced with the non-interacting tube bundle models. 相似文献

Cylindrical shells consisting of cylindrical panels of smaller radius and subjected to uniform external pressure are analyzed
for stability. The geometrical parameters of the shells are approximated by Fourier series on a discrete set of points. The
Timoshenko theory of shells is used. The solution is represented in the form of trigonometric series. It is shown that short-and
medium-length shells with cylindrical panels are advantageous over circular shells. By selecting appropriate parameters of
the panels, keeping the mass of the shell constant, it is possible to achieve a significant gain in critical loads. The shells
under consideration are less effective than isotropic shells. Shells with sinusoidal corrugation under external pressure are
of no practical interest

The two phase flow equations frequently used in geothermal engineering ignore capillary pressure, which results in a singular system of equations. Analysis of these equations reveals three mechanisms for altering saturation: local boiling, the spatial dependence of flowing enthalpy due to the convective transport of fluid, and counterflow. A scalar function is associated with each of these three mechanims. At each point in space, flows are essentially two dimensional, with gravity establishing a vertical hierarchy, in that volumetric, energy and mass fluxes can never point below a lower member in this triple. With increasing liquid saturation, the characteristics associated with the saturation equation move up from below this grouping of directions, and eventually may even point above volumetric fluxes. Finally, weak shocks and the associated entropy condition are considered. The characteristics of the saturation equation coincide with the velocity of extremely weak shocks, and saturation increases with the passage of a weak shock, provided the magnitude of the characteristic speed increases with saturation.Notation Cl

A novel dynamic compressive experimental technique has been developed based on a split Hopkinson pressure bar. This new method
dynamically loads the ceramic specimen by two consecutive stress pulses. The first pulse determines the dynamic response of
the intact ceramic materiaal and then crushes the specimen, and the second pulse determines the dynamic compressive constitutive
behavior of the ceramic rubble. Precise pulse shaping ensures that the specimen deforms at nearly constant strain rates under
dynamic stress equilibrium during the loading by both stress pulses. Pulse shaping also controls the amplitudes of loading
pulses, the values of strain rates, the maximum strains in the rubble specimens, and the proper separation time between the
two loading pulses. The feasibility of the new technique is demonstrated by the experimental results obtained on an AD995

制备了表面修饰的硼酸盐润滑油添加剂(球形颗粒,粒径大都小于0.5μm),且用四球试验机研究了其摩擦学性能.结果表明:这种添加剂具有良好的极压抗磨减摩性能,当润滑油中元素B的质量分数为0.05%时,四球磨斑直径最小,最大无卡咬负荷(pB值)最高;基础油的粘度和含水量对添加剂的极压抗磨性能有较大的影响,粘度为65.30mm2/s时的极压抗磨性最好,水的质量分数为1%时的pB值最高,低于1%时的pB值比不含水时的高,水的质量分数高于1%时的pB值随水含量的增加而降低.X射线光电子能谱分析发现,表面修饰的硼酸盐润滑油添加剂在摩擦表面形成了一层混合的摩擦化学反应膜,其中元素B主要以BN的形式存在. 相似文献
