Especially with respect to high Mn and other austenitic TRansformation and/or TWinning Induced Plasticity (TRIP/TWIP) steels, it is a current trend to model the stacking fault energy of a stacking fault that is formed by plastic deformation with an equilibrium thermodynamic formalism as proposed by Olson and Cohen in 1976. In the present paper, this formalism is critically discussed and its ambiguity is stressed. Suggestions are made, how the stacking fault energy and its relation to the formation of hexagonal ?-martensite might be treated appropriately. It is further emphasized that a thermodynamic treatment of deformation-induced stacking fault phenomena always faces some ambiguity. However, an alternative thermodynamic approach to stacking faults, twinning and the formation of ?-martensite in austenitic steels might rationalize the specific stacking fault arrangements encountered during deformation of TRIP/TWIP alloys.  相似文献

Abstract

The compression behaviour in a multi-anvil apparatus of pure NaCl and of a foil of Ni3Al embedded in a pressure medium of NaCl has been studied by energy-dispersive X-ray diffraction. At ambient temperature, the pressure and stresses, determined from line positions of NaCl, were constant throughout the sample chamber. Line positions and line widths of NaCl reflections were reversible on pressure release. A saturation of microstrains observed in NaCl at 2 GPa is thus attributed to brittle fracture setting in at uniaxial stresses of around 0.3 GPa. Ni3Al polycrystals, in contrast, undergo extensive (ductile) plastic deformation above 4 GPa. The compression behaviour of both Ni3Al and NaCl is identical to that previously determined in a diamond anvil cell. While a multi-anvil device thus has the advantage, compared with a diamond anvil cell, of constant pressure and stress throughout the sample chamber, microstrains in poly-crystalline samples arise in both devices. Samples in a multi-anvil apparatus thus need to be mixed with a pressure medium and to consist of essentially single crystals just as in a diamond anvil cell. Annealing experiments at high pressures confirm that the release of the uniaxial stress component in the pressure medium does not cause a release of microstrains in the embedded sample if the latter has been plastically deformed. Annealing for the purpose of attaining hydrostatic conditions in compression studies thus has to be carried out with care.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

A low carbon high Mn, Ti microalloyed dual phase TWIP steel has been processed through cold rolling and annealing. X-ray diffraction reveals the maximum austenite (≈92%) in HRACST sample whereas, the 50CD sample shows 29% ferrite. The microstructure of HRAC and HRACST samples reveal austenite grains with annealing twins and deformation induced ferrite (DIF). The higher amount of DIF along with deformation twins form during cold deformation. Annealing at 500°C shows recovery, whereas at 700°C shows partial recrystallisation and at 900°C reveals almost full recrystallisation. TEM microstructures of the 900°C for 30?min samples reveal annealing twins with TiC particle. Strong Brass {110}<112> and Goss{110}<001> texture components are observed in HRAC, HRACST and 50CD samples. Goss Twin (GT) {113}<332> and Copper Twin (Cu-T) {552}<115> components are observed in 50CD sample. Addition of Ti results in an average grain size of 20?μm. Maximum YS (1176?MPa) and UTS (1283?MPa) values with the lowest ductility of 11% have been obtained for the 50CD sample which is related to the formation of extensive deformation twin and a higher fraction of DIF. 700°C-30?min and 700°C-60?min samples show an increase in ductility (23% and 34%, respectively) with a marginal decrease in tensile strength (1054?MPa). Annealing at 900°C shows ductility restoration up to 60% with higher tensile strength compared to HRACST sample. Ductile fracture of HRAC and HRACST samples transform to brittle fracture in the 50CD sample. Annealing at 900°C for 30?min shows ductile fracture with some (Fe, Mn)S and TiC particles.  相似文献

随着近年来图像传感器的快速商用化以及生物识别算法的发展,虹膜识别功能得以应用于移动终端设备。获取虹膜图像是虹膜识别的关键一步,运用ZEMAX光学设计软件设计了一款适用于手机的虹膜识别镜头。该镜头采用豪威科技公司OmniVision_OV2281传感器,采用三片式非球面光学塑料设计,F数为2.3,全视场角为34°,在1/2奈奎斯特频率220 lp/mm处MTF值均大于0.39,且系统总长仅3 mm。根据ZEMAX像质评价方法以及公差分析结果可知,该镜头各项光学指标优良,具有像质好、体积小,质量轻、价格低、容易加工等特点。  相似文献

针对理想弹塑性固体材料的一维Riemann问题,在不考虑真空的情况下,讨论其所有可能存在的解结构,给出每一种解结构下对应的初值条件且证明该系列初值条件的完备性,即任意给定的物理量初值均有且只有一种解结构与之对应.基于该理论,在设计精确或近似理想弹塑性Riemann问题求解器时,可以依据初值条件对任意物理量初值直接判断其对应的解结构,从而提高求解器的精度和效率.数值试验验证了该系列初值条件的正确性和有效性.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

Type 316L austenitic stainless steel was severely plastically deformed at room temperature using linear plane-strain machining in a single pass that imparted shear strains up to 2.2 at strain rates up to 2?×?103 s?1. The resulting microstructures exhibited significant grain size refinement and improved mechanical strength where geometric dynamic recrystallization was identified as the primary microstructural recrystallization mechanism active at high strain rates. This mechanism is rarely observed in low to medium stacking fault energy materials. The critical stress required for twin initiation is raised by the combined effects of refined grain size and the increase in stacking fault energy due to the adiabatic heating of the chip, thus permitting geometric dynamic recrystallization. The suppression of martensite formation was observed and is correlated to the significant adiabatic heating and mechanical stabilisation of the austenitic stainless steel. A gradient of the amount of strain induced martensite formed from the surface towards the interior of the chip. As the strain rate is increased from 4?×?102 s?1–2?×?103 s?1, a grain morphology change was observed from a population of grains with a high fraction of irregular shaped grains to one dominated by elongated grain shapes with a microstructure characterised by an enhanced density of intragranular sub-cell structure, serrated grain boundaries, and no observable twins. As strain rates were increased, the combination of reduction in strain induced martensite and non-uniform intragranular strain led to grain softening where a Hall-Petch relationship was observed with a negative strengthening coefficient of ?0.08?MPa m1/2.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

The authors present the results of an investigation in Fe–Ni-Cr austenitic alloys of the low-temperature deformation-induced segregations of nickel that form in the micro regions being (i) located close to grain- and subgrain boundaries and (ii) characteristic of the concentration and magnetic inhomogeneities indicated by the appearance of a dark diffraction contrast at the electron diffraction patterns taken from these regions typical (at the same time) of an enhanced value of Curie temperature. The observed effects were connected with the micro distortions caused by the local change of lattice parameter because of an increase in nickel concentration, as well as in the result of a magnetostriction dilatation. Using methods of the X-ray energy dispersive spectroscopy (XEDS) and atomic-probe body-section radiography (tomography – APT) has made it possible to determine the borders of those regions of austenite that were characteristic of an enhanced concentration of nickel in the fields of the localisation of a deformation-induced segregation of nickel in the vicinity of grain (subgrain) boundaries of austenitic alloys of the types Fe–13Cr–30Ni and Fe–37Ni–3Ti.  相似文献

The pressure dependence of the direct and indirect bandgap of epitaxial In0.52Al0.48As on InP(001) substrate has been measured using photoluminescence up to 92 kbar hydrostatic pressure. The bandgap changes from Γ toX at an applied pressure of ∼ 43 kbar. Hydrostatic deformation potentials for both the Γ andX bandgaps are deduced, after correcting for the elastic constant (bulk modulus) mismatch between the epilayer and the substrate. For the epilayer we obtain and+(2.81±0.15)eV for the Γ andX bandgaps respectively. From the pressure dependence of the normalized Γ-bandgap photoluminescence intensity a Γ-X lifetime ratio, (τΓ X ), of 4.1×10−3 is deduced.  相似文献

The process of penetration of a projectile into a semi-infinitetarget is studied in this paper. Using certain assumptions, the propagation of plastic wave in the target is analyzed and the pressure on the surface of penetrator is given.
