Nanocomposites based on polyvinylidene fluoride–trifluoroethylene copolymer and up to 4 vol % of hydrophobized clay nanoparticles are investigated. The structure, piezoelectric properties, and oxygen permeability of solvent cast films are analyzed before and after annealing above the Curie temperature of the polymer. Exfoliation of the clay takes place at concentrations up to 1 vol %, beyond which it rapidly drops and is absent at a concentration of 4 vol %. The presence of clay does not change the crystallinity of the polymer, but leads to a threefold decrease of the oxygen permeability at a concentration of 0.5 vol %. Annealing at 130 °C increases the crystallinity, the proportion of β phase up to 94%, and the piezoelectric coefficient by 20–40% at clay fractions below 1 vol %. Annealing also leads to a remarkable 3‐ to 10‐fold decrease of O2 permeability and to intriguing changes of the activation energy for O2 transport, which decreases from 56 kJ/mol for the as‐cast polymer to below 10 kJ/mol for the polymer and exfoliated composite. © 2017 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. We expand the picture of plasmon hybridization in metamagnetic structure via numerically studying the electromagnetic coupling in the metallic cut-wire-pair super cells. It is shown that a triple negative permeability band can be achieved by systematically controlling the plasmon hybridization in such the structure. The corresponding transmission properties as well as the electromagnetic responses of the plasmon-hybridized structures were presented by using the finite integration technique simulations. Our results would reveal a promising design to obtain the multiple negative refractions based on the combination of hybridized cut-wire-pairs and continuous wires. 相似文献

Effects of composition and sintering temperature on grain size, porosity and magnetic properties of the NiZn and NiCuZn ferrites were investigated. It was found that the lowest power loss could be obtained with the equimolar composition for both NiZn and NiCuZn ferrites, which could be attributed to the lowest porosity. A slight deficiency or excess of Fe2O3 content had no pronounced influence on saturation magnetic flux density (Bs) in our testing range. However, a slight excess of Fe2O3 was effective to improve the initial permeability, which could be attributed to decrease of the magnetocrystalline anisotropy. With the increase of sintering temperature, the initial permeability and power loss of the NiZn and NiCuZn ferrites had different development trend, which could be explained by the different variation trend of the grain size and porosity. Power losses of the NiCuZn ferrite samples were lower than that of the NiZn ferrite samples at any sintering temperature. Synthetically, the NiCuZn ferrites had a better performance than the NiZn ferrites in power field use. 相似文献

Layer‐multiplying coextrusion was used in conjunction with isothermal recrystallization to study the confined crystallization of polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) and polyvinylidene fluoride‐tetrafluoroethylene (PVDF‐TFE) using polycarbonate (PC) and polysulfone (PSF) as confining materials. Three layered systems were produced (PC/PVDF, PSF/PVDF, and PC/PVDF‐TFE) with layer thicknesses ranging from 525 to 28 nm. The crystal morphology was affected by both layer thickness and recrystallization temperature. Specifically, increased recrystallization temperature and decreased layer thickness facilitated the formation of high aspect ratio in‐plane crystals in both PVDF based polymers. On the other side of the spectrum, thicker layers and lower recrystallization temperatures produced on‐edge PVDF crystals and isotropic PVDF‐TFE crystals. The morphology was correlated with oxygen permeability, which decreased by almost two orders of magnitude compared with the bulk.
