Independence of almost periodicity upon the topology of the acting group

Answering a question first explicitly stated by de Vries in 1993, we observe that for an arbitrary topological dynamical system the property of being an almost periodic point does not depend on the topology of the acting group. In other words, the traditional distinction made between the notions of an almost periodic point and of a discretely almost periodic point is unnecessary.

Epoxidation of cyclohexene on modified Ti-containing mesoporous MCM-41

Ti-MCM-41, B-Ti-MCM-41 and Ti-grafted MCM-41 were synthesized, characterized and studied in the epoxidation of cyclohexene. The synthetic methods and the effect of water in the oxidant are discussed.     

Axisymmetric shock wave interaction with a cone: a benchmark test

Results of the benchmark test are presented of comparing numerical schemes solving shock wave of M_s = 2.38 in nitrogen and argon interacting with a 43∘ semi-apex angle cone and corresponding experiments. The benchmark test was announced in Shock Waves Vol. 12, No. 4, in which we tried to clarify the effects of viscosity and heat conductivity on shock reflection in conical flows. This paper summarizes results of ten numerical and two experimental applications. State of the art in studies regarding the shock/cone interaction is clarified. 球型平移网络逼近周期函数

研究了球型平移网络对周期函数的逼近问题．文章首先将基函数eimx分别表示成为两种球型平移网络．进一步,将有关多重Fourier级数的Bochner-Riesz平均表示成为球型平移网络的形式．在此基础上构造出了两类球型平移网络序列,并借助于有关Bochner-Riesz平均对Lp空间中函数的逼近结果给出了这两类球型平移网络序列在Lp空间中的逼近阶．     

一类奇异二阶边值问题的正周期解

考察了一类奇异二阶周期边值问题,其中非线性项f(t,u)是局部Caratheódory函数.主要工具是高度函数,它描述了非线性项f(t,u)在有界集合上的增长特性.通过考察高度函数的积分获得了单个或多重正解存在的几个充分条件.我们的工作表明这种存在性与非线性项f(t,u)在u=0附近的性质无关.     

定数截尾两参数指数——威布尔分布形状参数的Bayes估计

在不同的损失函数下,本文研究了两参数指数—威布尔分布(EWD)形状参数的Bayes估计问题.基于定数截尾试验,当其中一个形状参数α已知时,给出了另一个形状参数θ在三种不同损失函数下的Bayes估计表达式,并求得了可靠度函数的Bayes点估计.最后运用随机模拟方法,将Bayes估计和极大似然估计进行了比较.结果表明,LINEX损失下Bayes估计的精度比极大似然估计高.     

一类多元重复测量模型参数的似然比检验及其功效分析

在多元重复测量试验模型下,当受试对象观测矩阵的协方差矩阵∑为等方差等协方差结构时,给出了参数的似然比检验统计量.给出该检验在原假设下的渐近零分布和在备择假设下的渐近非零分布,并就检验的功效进行了分析.     

OSCILLATING CRITERIA FOR CERTAIN EVEN ORDER NEUTRAL DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS WITH DEVIATING ARGUMENTS

By using the integral averaging technique, oscillating criteria for certain even order neutral differential equation with deviating arguments are established. These results extend some known oscillation criteria due to Xu and Xia.     

PERIODIC SOLUTIONS FOR A CLASS OF DELAYED NONLINEAR DIFFERENCE EQUATIONS

With the help of a continuation theorem based on Gaines and Mawhin's coincidence degree,some sufficient conditions are established for the global existence of positive periodic solutions of a class of delayed nonlinear difference equations.
