Hence,the importance of that equation in science and engineering isevident. This paper focus on the study of solutions of thatGQME and a unified framework for the characterization and identificationof solutions at infinity and of finite solutions of generalquadratic algebraic matrix equations is presented. The analysisis based on the concept of homogeneous projective transformationfor general polynomial systems (Morgan, 1986). In addition,a numerical error analysis for the computed solutions is providedfor the assessment of numerical accuracy, stability and conditioningof the computed solutions. An extensive failure analysis of the steepest-descent optimization algorithm has been made. Each of the ways in which the algorithm can fail is discussed in terms of both the mathematical and numerical manifestations of a failure and the information which each type of failure provides about the formulation of the physical problem. Numerical tests for each of the various types of failure are described; several faulty problem formulations are presented, each of which illustrates a particular type of failure. During the last decade or two, significant progress has been made in the development of imbedding methods for the analytical and computational treatment of integral equations. These methods are now well known in radiative transfer, neutron transport, optimal filtering, and other fields. In this review paper, we describe the current status of imbedding methods for integral equations. The paper emphasizes new analytical and computational developments in control and filtering, multiple scattering, inverse problems of wave propagation, and solid and fluid mechanics. Efficient computer programs for the determination of complex eigenvalues of integral operators, analytical investigations of stability for significant underlying Riccati integrodifferential equations, and comparisons against other methods are described. 相似文献

It is shown that the customary assumption on the propagation of round-off errors in numerical methods for PDEs is unrealistic, as it yields a convergence result which is better than the best possible similar convergence result for ODEs. A solution is suggested by which round-off errors can be modelled by smooth functions, with consequent weakening of overall stability conditions and improvement of convergence conditions. 相似文献

采用软球干接触模型对球形及非球形颗粒的分层过程进行了三维离散元法模拟研究,从颗粒间作用力、转动力矩和能量变化的角度分析了颗粒分层机理,讨论了颗粒的粒度比对分层速度的影响规律.结果表明,分层过程中,大颗粒比小颗粒活跃,非球颗粒由于具有较高的动能而比球颗粒活跃,在一定程度上弥补了颗粒形状对分层过程的影响.大颗粒间的平均法向、切向作用力、平均力矩及平均动能均大于小颗粒.颗粒分层速度随着粒度比的增加而显著增大,当粒度比大于临界粒度比3时,分层速度的增幅减缓. 相似文献

低密度聚乙烯材料中的空间电荷包现象通常会引起严重电场畸变而影响其击穿特性. 本文借鉴半导体中的耿氏效应的负微分迁移率机理来描述电荷包的形成机理,并结合载流子的注入条件及体内陷阱对电荷迁移的影响等因素,对文献中报道的两类外加场强不同且迁移趋势各异的空间电荷包行为进行了模拟仿真,模拟的电荷包大小随电场变化规律,电荷包迁移速率随时间变化规律等与相应实验结果符合.模拟结果表明,产生耿氏效应的负微分迁移率是造成电荷包非弥散传输的主要原因,其与材料电极注入情况及体内陷阱态的共同作用导致了空间电荷包行为迁移的多样性.
