Our aim in this paper, is first constructing a Lyapunov function to prove the global stability of the unique smoking-present equilibrium state of a mathematical model of smoking. Next we incorporate random noise into the deterministic model. We show that the stochastic model established in this paper possesses non-negative solutions as this is essential in any population dynamics model. Then a stochastic Lyapunov method is performed to obtain the sufficient conditions for mean square and asymptotic stability in probability of the stochastic model. Our analysis reveals that the stochastic stability of the smoking-present equilibrium state, depends on the magnitude of the intensities of noise as well as the parameters involved within the model system.  相似文献

We derive relationships between the shape deformation of an impenetrable obstacle and boundary measurements of scattering fields on the perturbed shape itself. Our derivation is rigorous by using a systematic way, based on layer potential techniques and the field expansion (FE) method (formal derivation). We extend these techniques to derive asymptotic expansions of the Dirichlet-to-Neumann (DNO) and Neumann-to-Dirichlet (NDO) operators in terms of the small perturbations of the obstacle as well as relationships between the shape deformation of an obstacle and boundary measurements of DNO or NDO on the perturbed shape itself. All relationships lead us to very effective algorithms for determining lower order Fourier coefficients of the shape perturbation of the obstacle.  相似文献

Considering the effect of stochasticity including white noise and colored noise, this paper aims to study a hybrid stochastic cholera epidemic model with waning vaccine-induced immunity and nonlinear telegraph perturbations. First, we derive a critical value ? 0 C related to the basic reproduction number ? 0 of the deterministic model. The key aim of this paper is to generalize the θ-stochastic criterion method proposed by the recent work (Han et al. in Chaos Solit Fract 140:110238, 2020) to eliminate nonlinear telegraph perturbations. Next, via constructing several θ-stochastic Lyapunov functions and using the generalized method, we further prove that the stochastic model have a unique ergodic stationary distribution under ? 0 C > 1. Results show that the prevention and control of cholera epidemic depend on low transmission rate and small telegraph perturbations. Finally, the corresponding numerical simulations are performed to illustrate our analytical results and a practical application on the Somalia cholera outbreak is shown at the end of this paper.  相似文献

Abstract

The problem of the mean square exponential stability for a class of discrete-time linear stochastic systems subject to independent random perturbations and Markovian switching is investigated. The case of the linear systems whose coefficients depend both to present state and the previous state of the Markov chain is considered. Three different definitions of the concept of exponential stability in mean square are introduced and it is shown that they are not always equivalent. One definition of the concept of mean square exponential stability is done in terms of the exponential stability of the evolution defined by a sequence of linear positive operators on an ordered Hilbert space. The other two definitions are given in terms of different types of exponential behavior of the trajectories of the considered system. In our approach the Markov chain is not prefixed. The only available information about the Markov chain is the sequence of probability transition matrices and the set of its states. In this way one obtains that if the system is affected by Markovian jumping the property of exponential stability is independent of the initial distribution of the Markov chain.

The definition expressed in terms of exponential stability of the evolution generated by a sequence of linear positive operators, allows us to characterize the mean square exponential stability based on the existence of some quadratic Lyapunov functions.

The results developed in this article may be used to derive some procedures for designing stabilizing controllers for the considered class of discrete-time linear stochastic systems in the presence of a delay in the transmission of the data.  相似文献
