An alignment film derived from a photopolymerized self‐assembled film may be used to orient nematic liquid crystals after irradiating the film with linearly polarized UV (LPUV). A photosensitive cationic amphiphile was first synthesized containing two double bonds and which could be polymerized by UV. A layer‐by‐layer self‐assembled multilayer film was next prepared in an aqueous solution of the cationic amphiphile and poly(sodium 4‐styrenesulphonate); the UV‐Vis spectra showed that each layer of the LBL multilayer film was uniform. When the film was irradiated by LPUV, the photosensitive double bonds underwent [2+2] cycloaddition along the vector direction of LPUV. The polarized UV‐Vis absorption spectra also provided evidence that the film was anisotropic, i.e. the photopolymerization was along a certain direction. The anisotropic film was used as an alignment layer for nematic liquid crystals, and observations under a polarizing microscope indicated that the alignment of the liquid crystals was good, as expected, and that the orientation direction of the liquid crystals was always perpendicular to the electric vector of the irradiating LPUV. 相似文献

我国每年的船舶压载水排放量巨大,压载水中含有浮游生物、病原体及其幼虫或孢子等,若处理不当,会对排放水域的生态环境造成严重影响。排放压载水前常使用电解法对其进行处理,电解产生的次氯酸钠溶液,能有效杀灭残余的微生物。但电解后会产生副产物三卤甲烷(THMs),其对人体有一定的健康风险,建立船舶压载水中三卤甲烷的测定方法具有重要意义。该研究建立了采用气相色谱-负化学源质谱(GC-NCI-MS)测定船舶压载水中4种三卤甲烷(包括三氯甲烷、二氯一溴甲烷、一氯二溴甲烷、三溴甲烷)的分析方法。船舶压载水样品经过顶空进样技术处理后,通过DB-5MS UI毛细管色谱柱(30 m×0.25 mm×1.0μm)分离,气相色谱-负化学源质谱仪测定,在选择离子扫描(SIM)模式下分析,采用外标法进行定量。4种三卤甲烷在0.2~50μg/L范围内线性关系良好,相关系数(r)≥0.995,定量限(S/N=10)为0.1~0.2μg/L,在0.2、0.5、2.0μg/L 3个加标水平下,4种THMs的平均回收率为90.3%~106.8%,相对标准偏差(RSD)为1.4%~6.2%。该方法准确、稳定、可靠,可用于测定船舶压载水中4种THMs的含量。使用建立的测定方法对36个船舶压载水进行测定,三溴甲烷、二溴一氯甲烷、一溴二氯甲烷与三氯甲烷的检出率分别为83.3%、69.4%、22.2%和19.4%,检出值分别为34.25~221.5μg/L、3.52~41.87μg/L、1.52~8.56μg/L和0.02~5.46μg/L。 相似文献

Although our previous study revealed that gamma-irradiated chrysin enhanced anti-inflammatory activity compared to intact chrysin, it remains unclear whether the chrysin derivative, CM1, produced by gamma irradiation, negatively regulates toll-like receptor (TLR) signaling. In this study, we investigated the molecular basis for the downregulation of TLR4 signal transduction by CM1 in macrophages. We initially determined the appropriate concentration of CM1 and found no cellular toxicity below 2 μg/mL. Upon stimulation with lipopolysaccharide (LPS), CM1 modulated LPS-stimulated inflammatory action by suppressing the release of proinflammatory mediators (cytokines TNF-α and IL-6) and nitric oxide (NO) and downregulated the mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) and nuclear factor-κB (NF-κB) signaling pathways. Furthermore, CM1 markedly elevated the expression of the TLR negative regulator toll-interacting protein (Tollip) in dose- and time-dependent manners. LPS-induced expression of cell surface molecules (CD80, CD86, and MHC class I/II), proinflammatory cytokines (TNF-α and IL-6), COX-2, and iNOS-mediated NO were inhibited by CM1; these effects were prevented by the knockdown of Tollip expression. Additionally, CM1 did not affect the downregulation of LPS-induced expression of MAPKs and NF-κB signaling in Tollip-downregulated cells. These findings provide insight into effective therapeutic intervention of inflammatory disease by increasing the understanding of the negative regulation of TLR signaling induced by CM1. 相似文献

Although the production of near-infrared (NIR)-absorbing organic polymers with an excellent nonlinear optical (NLO) response is vital for various optoelectronic devices and photodynamic therapy, the molecular design and relevant photophysical investigation still remain challenging. In this work, large NLO activity is observed for an NIR-absorbing bithiophene-based polymer with a unique head-to-head linkage in the NIR region. The saturable absorption coefficient and modulation depth of the polymer are determined as ∼−3.5×105 cm GW−1 and ∼32.43%, respectively. Notably, the polymer exhibits an intrinsic nonlinear refraction index up to ∼−9.36 cm2 GW−1, which is six orders of magnitude larger than that of CS2. The maximum molar-mass normalized two-photon absorption cross-section (σ2/M) of this polymer can be up to ∼14 GM at 1200 nm. Femtosecond transient absorption measurements reveal significant spectral overlap between the 2PA and excited state absorption in the 1000–1400 nm wavelength range and an efficient triplet quantum yield of ∼36.7%. The negative refraction behavior and imaging effect for acoustic waves in a kind of two-dimensional square chiral lattice structure are studied in this paper. The unit cell of the proposed structure consists of four zigzag arms connected through a thin circular ring at the central part. The relation of the symmetry of the unit cell and the negative refraction phenomenon is investigated. Using the finite element method, we calculate the band structures and the equi-frequency surfaces of the system, and confirm the frequency range where the negative refraction is present. Due to the rotational symmetry of the unit cell, a phase difference is induced to the waves propagating from a point source through the structure to the other side. The phase difference is related to the width of the structure and the frequency of the source, so we can get a tunable deviated imaging. This kind of phenomenon is also demonstrated by the numerical simulation of two Gaussian beams that are symmetrical about the interface normal with the same incident angle, and the different negative refractive indexes are presented. Based on this special performance, a double-functional mirror-symmetrical slab is proposed for realizing acoustic focusing and beam separation. 相似文献

We consider the numerical approximation of the weak solutions of the two‐layer shallow‐water equations. The model under consideration is made of two usual one‐layer shallow‐water model coupled by nonconservative products. Because of the nonconservative products of the system, which couple both one‐layer shallow‐water subsystems, the usual numerical methods have to consider the full model. Of course, uncoupled numerical techniques, just involving finite volume schemes for the basic shallow‐water equations, are very attractive since they are very easy to implement and they are costless. Recently, a stable layer splitting technique was introduced [Bouchut and Morales de Luna, M2AN Math Model Numer Anal 42 (2008), 683–698]. In the same spirit, we exhibit new splitting technique, which is proved to be well balanced and non‐negative preserving. A theoretical study on the reaction mechanism of methyl salicylate (MeSA), a green leaf volatile organic compound with OH radical and ozone, has been carried out using density functional theory methods using B3LYP, M06‐2X and MPW1K functionals with 6‐311++G(d,p) basis set. The atmospheric degradation pathways of MeSA with OH radical are studied under two different pathways, viz. H‐atom abstraction and electrophilic addition of OH radical. The hydrogen abstraction from –OH group is found to be the dominant reaction channel with small barrier height. Likewise, the electrophilic addition of OH radicals at the para position of MeSA is found to be favourable rather than the ortho and meta positions because of the small barrier height. However, the reaction of MeSA with respect to the addition of O3 is initiated only through the cycloaddition to the C?C bond, resulting in primary ozonide. The Arrhenius plot for most of the addition reaction shows positive temperature dependence, while for the abstraction reaction, it exhibits negative temperature dependence over the temperature range of 278–350 K. The calculated theoretical rate constants are in good agreement with available experimental data. Thin films of barium fluorides with different thicknesses were deposited on GaAs substrate by electron beam evaporation. The aim of the work was to identify the best growth conditions for the production of coatings with a low work function suitable for the anode of hybrid thermionic-photovoltaic (TIPV) devices. The chemical composition and work function φ of the films with different thicknesses were investigated by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and ultraviolet photoelectron spectroscopy (UPS). The lowest value of φ = 2.1 eV was obtained for the film with a thickness of ~2 nm. In the valence band spectra of the films at low kinetic energy, near the cutoff, a characteristic peak of negative electron affinity was present. This effect contributed to a further reduction of the film's work function. 相似文献
