Frame multiresolution analysis and infinite trees in Banach spaces on locally compact abelian groups

We extend the concept of frame multiresolution analysis to a locally compact abelian group and use it to define certain weighted Banach spaces and the spaces of their antifunctionals. We define analysis and synthesis operators on these spaces and establish the continuity of their composition. Also, we prove a general result to characterize infinite trees in the above Banach spaces of antifunctionals. This paper paves the way for the study of corresponding problems associated with some other types of Banach spaceson locally compact abelian groups including modulation spaces. 相似文献

Recently we found a family of nearly orthonormal affine Riesz bases of compact support and arbitrary degrees of smoothness, obtained by perturbing the one-dimensional Haar mother wavelet using B-splines. The mother wavelets thus obtained are symmetric and given in closed form, features which are generally lacking in the orthogonal case. We also showed that for an important subfamily the wavelet coefficients can be calculated in O(n) steps, just as for orthogonal wavelets. It was conjectured by Aldroubi, and independently by the author, that these bases cannot be obtained by a multiresolution analysis. Here we prove this conjecture. The work is divided into four sections. The first section is introductory. The main feature of the second is simple necessary and sufficient conditions for an affine Riesz basis to be generated by a multiresolution analysis, valid for a large class of mother wavelets. In the third section we apply the results of the second section to several examples. In the last section we show that our bases cannot be obtained by a multiresolution analysis. 相似文献

提出了一种基于区域分割和Contourlet变换的图像融合算法。首先,对各源图像做区域分割,并利用区域能量比和区域清晰比的概念来度量和提取区域信息;然后,对各源图像进行多尺度非子采样Contourlet分解,分解后的高频部分采用绝对值取大算子进行融合,低频部分则采用基于区域的融合规则和算子进行融合;最后进行重构得到融合图像。对红外与可见光图像进行了融合实验,并与基于像素的àtrous小波变换和Contourlet变换的融合效果进行了比较。结果表明,采用本文算法的融合图像既保留了可见光图像的光谱信息,又继承了红外图像的目标信息,其熵值高于基于像素的融合方法约10%,交叉熵仅为基于像素的融合方法的1%左右。 相似文献

Multiresolution representation of quadrilateral surface approximation (MRQSA) is a useful representation for progressive graphics transmission in networks. Based on two requirements: (1) minimum mean square error and (2) fixed reduction ratio between levels, this paper first transforms the MRQSA problem into the problem of solving a sequence of near-Toeplitz tridiagonal linear systems. Employing the matrix perturbation technique, the MRQSA problem can be solved using about 24mn floating-point operations, i.e. linear time, if we are given a polygonal surface with (2m–1)×(2n–1) points. A numerical stability analysis is also given. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first time that such a linear algebra approach has been used for solving the MRQSA problem. In this article, we study the theory of nonuniform minimally supported frequency multiwavelets and nonuniform multiscaling sets. A characterization of nonuniform multiwavelet sets is obtained which generalizes a result of Yu and Gabardo. After introducing a notion of generalized nonuniform scaling set, we obtain a characterization of nonuniform multiscaling sets associated with nonuniform multiresolution analysis having finite multiplicity.
