概率约束随机规划的一种近似方法及其它的有效解模式

根据最小风险的投资最优问题，我们给出了一个统一的概率约束随机规划模型。随后我们提出了求解这类概率约束随机规划的一种近似算法，并在一定的条件下证明了算法的收敛性。此外，提出了这种具有概率约束多目标随机规划问题的一种有效解模型。     

定量型多指标决策的层次分析法探讨

本文采用等级标度与层次分析综合的方法对定量型多指标决策问题进行了讨论，它既是层次分析法在定量型多指标决策中的合理推广，同时也为定量型多指标决策问题提供了一种行之有效的方法．     

Effects of multiple blade interaction on the containment of blade fragments during a rotor failure

A finite element analysis is used to study the impact and the containment aspects of rotor blade fragments that are produced during a aircraft jet engine rotor failure. The impact and containment studies are performed on a ring-type containment structure and various fragment types are considered in this study. For each type of fragment, the ring thickness is varied incrementally and the ring response, residual kinetic energy level of the fragments, magnitude of impact forces and the overall containment or failure are determined. First, only a single fragment is considered and the rotor is assumed to contain no other blades. Next, the remaining blades are introduced and the effects of multiple collisions with the other blades on the containment are analyzed. The explicit, nonlinear finite element code Dyna3d is used for the numerical computations in this study and the results are compared with the experimental results performed on a T58 rotor at the spin facility of the Naval Air Propulsion Test Center.     

A generalization of inverse distance weighting and an equivalence relationship to noise-free Gaussian process interpolation via Riesz representation theorem

In this paper, we show the relationship between two seemingly unrelated approximation techniques. On the one hand, a certain class of Gaussian process-based interpolation methods, and on the other hand inverse distance weighting, which has been developed in the context of spatial analysis where there is often a need for interpolating from irregularly spaced data to produce a continuous surface. We develop a generalization of inverse distance weighting and show that it is equivalent to the approximation provided by the class of Gaussian process-based interpolation methods. The equivalence is established via an elegant application of Riesz representation theorem concerning the dual of a Hilbert space. It is thus demonstrated how a classical theorem in linear algebra connects two disparate domains.     

Spectral methods for pantograph-type differential and integral equations with multiple delays

We analyze the convergence properties of the spectral method when used to approximate smooth solutions of delay differential or integral equations with two or more vanishing delays. It is shown that for the pantograph-type functional equations the spectral methods yield the familiar exponential order of convergence. Various numerical examples are used to illustrate these results.      

Continuation of multiple power series in a sectorial domain

For multiple power series centered at the origin we consider the problem of its analytic continuability into a sectorial domain. The condition for continuability is formulated in terms of a holomorphic function that interpolates the series coefficients. For series in one variable this problem has been studied in the works of E. Lindelöf, N. Arakelian, and others.     

Some researches on multivariate Lagrange interpolation along the sufficiently intersected algebraic manifold

In this article, Lagrange interpolation by polynomials in several variables is studied. Particularly on the sufficiently intersected algebraic manifolds, we discuss the dimension about the interpolation space of polynomials. After defining properly posed set of nodes (or PPSN for short) along the sufficiently intersected algebraic manifolds, we prove the existence of PPSN and give the number of points in PPSN of any degree. Moreover, in order to compute the number of points in PPSN concretely, we propose the operator ? _k with reciprocal difference.     

Derivation of Korteweg–de Vries flow equations from the short‐wave model equation

We perform a multiple‐time scales analysis and compatibility condition to the short‐wave model equation. We derive Korteweg–de Vries flow equation in the bi‐Hamiltonian form as an amplitude equation. Copyright © 2013 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.     

Increasing the polynomial reproduction of a quasi-interpolation operator

Quasi-interpolation is an important tool, used both in theory and in practice, for the approximation of smooth functions from univariate or multivariate spaces which contain , the d-variate polynomials of degree ≤m. In particular, the reproduction of Π_m leads to an approximation order of m+1. Prominent examples include Lagrange and Bernstein type approximations by polynomials, the orthogonal projection onto Π_m for some inner product, finite element methods of precision m, and multivariate spline approximations based on macroelements or the translates of a single spline.For such a quasi-interpolation operator L which reproduces and any r≥0, we give an explicit construction of a quasi-interpolant which reproduces Π_m+r, together with an integral error formula which involves only the (m+r+1)th derivative of the function approximated. The operator is defined on functions with r additional orders of smoothness than those on which L is defined. This very general construction holds in all dimensions d. A number of representative examples are considered.
