Stereochemistry of ketone olefination with methyl trimethylsilylacetate

High (Z)-stereoselectivity of olefination of methyl α-phenylthioalkyl and methyl α-phenylthioalkenyl ketones with methyl trimethylsilylacetate decreases in the case of ketones containing a higher alkyl-substituent in place of the methyl group. The preparation of a cabbage reference material for environmental monitoring and food analysis

 Cabbage is frequently used in environmental monitoring and food control, and, hence, cabbage reference materials (RMs) are required for ensuring quality assurance. A cabbage RM was prepared in view of certification of specific elements from the "black list" of high toxicological interest and nutritive importance. All tasks of the RM production (production of the plant material, cutting and freeze-drying, determination of the residual water content, preparation of the RM, homogeneity testing, stability testing, certification measurements) are described in detail. [Hg3]4+ Cation in Inorganic Crystal Structures

The crystal-chemical structure of the minerals and inorganic compounds kuznetsovite [Hg₃](AsO₄)Cl and terlinguaite [Hg₃][HgO₂]Cl₂, as well as [Hg₃]₃(AsO₄)₄ and [Hg₃]₂[HgO₂](PO₂ and their analogs, is considered from the viewpoint of the packing of large supramolecular atomic groups. The cationic layer of polyhedra around the large [Hg₃]⁴⁺ cations, alternating with the anionic layer of [HgO₂]^2-, (AsO₄)^3-, (PO₄)^3-, Cl^-, plays the major role in structure formation. Segregation of mercury cations of different valences possibly reflects the solid-state transformations occurring in nature and accompanied by mercury liberation.     

氟硅烷自组装单分子膜的制备及其摩擦学性能

利用分子自组装技术制备了全氟辛酰胺丙基硅烷单分子膜,用X射线光电子能谱(XPS)对组装膜的表面元素进行了表征;接触角测试表明,该组装膜具有很好的疏水-疏油性,其对水的接触角高达105°,对正十六烷的接触角为50°.摩擦磨损实验结果表明,全氟辛酰胺丙基硅烷自组装单分子膜可以大大降低基片的摩擦系数,使载玻片的摩擦系数从0.85左右降低到0.14左右,而且低负荷下具有很好的耐磨性.     

一类2(1H)-喹喔啉衍生物的电子轰击质谱分析

以邻苯二胺为原料合成表征了一类喹喔啉衍生物；1-烷基-3-甲基-2（1H）-喹喔啉-2-酮（1-alkyl-3-methly-2(1H)-quinoxalin-2-one，简称AMQ，其中alky=H、CH3、Et、n-C3H5、n-C5H11、n-C16H33)。用电子轰击电离质谱（EI-MS）和核磁共振谱图（^1H-NMR)鉴定了AMQ，研究了不同取代基对这类化合物EI-MS谱图的影响，分析得到一些裂解规律。结果表明：所有样品谱图中均有芳香化合物的特征CnHn^ 系列峰m/z78，65，52，39和（或）m/z77、76、64、63、51、50、38、37。对于末取代的样品及低级烷烃取代的样品，谱图中的基峰为分子离子峰，对于取代基中碳数大于等于3的样品。谱图中的基峰不是分子离子峰，分子离子峰强度随着碳数的增加而降低。这些样品一般容易发生骨架重排，丢失一分子CO，生成1-烷基-2-甲基苯并哒唑正离子。此外，还讨论了谱图中其它的一些碎片离子峰。这对于研究和指导喹喔啉衍生物 的合成，探讨它们在药效及结构特征与生理活性的关系等方面具有重要的应用价值和理论意义。     

基于知识体系整合的元素无机化学教学改革

元素无机化学是大学化学及相关专业无机化学课程的核心内容。如何教好、学好元素无机化学的知识一直是教学工作者研究的课题。为改变教学现状，提高教学效果，培养学生的逻辑思维和科学创新能力，提出一种整合元素无机化学知识的思路，即：以化合物类型为主线对元素无机化学知识进行系统化整合，并以氧化物部分为例加以说明。     

Monte‐Carlo simulation of spatial distribution of characteristic x‐rays in multi‐film targets: source size of Al Kα x‐rays in W/Al film targets

A Monte‐Carlo simulation approach has been applied to describe the spatial distribution of characteristic x‐rays in W/Al film targets of different combinations of film thicknesses for the optimal design of a small‐sized x‐ray source having a high x‐ray intensity. The result has led to optimal combinations of W and Al film targets for 100 kV electrons, e.g. W(1 µm)/Al(20 µm), W(3 µm)/Al(15 µm) and W(5 µm)/Al(8 µm). 面向化妆品产业升级的江南大学应用化学专业建设思考与实践

Based on the development prospect of cosmetics industry, the advantage of light industry characteristic and the foundation of applied chemistry in Jiangnan University, a systematic upgrading of applied chemistry was carried out through "emerging engineering education (3E)" project "upgrade and practice of chemistry-related majors of local and/or trade university responding to the social developments" supported by the Ministry of Education. On the basis of investigation and analysis, the orientation and training goal of applied chemistry were updated first, and then the curriculum system was determined and the curriculum construction is strengthened, so as to achieve more distinctive characteristics, more solid foundation and more comprehensive quality. In view of the new requirements of the 3E for talent training, some practices have been formed in the aspects of multi-disciplinary integration, multi-angle coordination and close integration to industry. Contributing the development of cosmetics industry and seizing the commanding point of science and technology from the perspective of talent training, will play a unique role in human social progress.     

The compensation effect as a result of integration of theArrhenius equation

Summary It has been shown that joined segments of straight lines are observed upon plotting the logarithm of the rate constant against the reciprocal temperature, exhibiting sharp breaks at so-called critical temperatures indicating sudden changes in activation energy [3, 5–8]. If the integration of the differential form of theArrhenius equation from 0 toT K is taken into account, the compensation effect can easily be explained.

Zusammenfassung Wenn man den Logarithmus der Geschwindigkeitskonstante gegen die reziproke Temperatur aufträgt, erhält man aufeinanderfolgende Teilstücke von Geraden mit scharfen Knicks bei sogenannten kritischen Temperaturen, welche jeweils eine Änderung der Aktivierungsenergie anzeigen [3, 5–8]. Integration derArrhenius-Gleichung zwischen 0 undT K führt zu einer zwanglosen Erklärung des Kompensationseffekts.

     

Splitless injection of up to hundreds of microliters of liquid samples in capillary GC: Part II,experimental results

Sample evaporation in splitless injection of large volumes is rapid: depending on the experiment, results indicate that 200 μl of hexane, for instance, evaporates in 2–10 s, producing vapor at a rate of many hundreds of milliliters per minute. A 60 × 4 mm packed bed of 20–35 mesh Tenax TA enabled injection of 200 μl volumes of all solvents tested, and even 1 ml injections were possible provided they were performed over a period of 30 s. Retention of volatile sample components depends on the sample solvent, the injection volume, and the injection speed, but only little on the injector temperature. Losses of n-tridecane varied from hardly 15 % (when dissolved in pentane) to ca 60 % (ethyl acetate); losses of n-heptadecane were usually below 20 %. The column temperature during injection should be at least ca 20–30°C above the standard solvent boiling point.
