The determination of film thickness is of prime importance in the quality assurance of coated pharmaceutical preparations. The rapid measurement of this parameter is problematic for multi-particulate pellet systems. The aim of this study was to apply the Raman spectroscopic method for the determination of the thickness of polymer coating on pellets. The change of Raman intensity was compared with measured film thickness, which was calculated from the change of the geometric parameters of the pellets, measured with an image-analyzing system. The results revealed that despite some difficulties Raman spectroscopy is a suitable method for the fast and accurate determination of film thickness on multi-particulate systems. 相似文献

In this work, we have looked for the correlation between the observed decay of reflection high-energy electron diffraction intensity oscillation and the critical layer thickness in the case of strained InxGa1−xAs/GaAs heterojunctions. The value of deading time constant of oscillation depends on the mismatch and on growth parameters, too. The decay of oscillation was described by two deading time constants which are responsible for the influences of the parameters mentioned above. The critical layer thickness was valued from the deading time constant responsible for the influence of mismatch only. The critical layer thickness determined this way shows good agreement with the theoretical model. 相似文献

报告了分散红共聚物膜HMMM-DR1,HMMM-DR19和偶氮侧链聚合物膜PCN6和PCN2的合成和制备, 并以HMMM-DR1和PCN6为代表比较研究了这两种具有不同吸收性质材料的全光极化特性,研究了他们的实时极化和弛豫过程,对他们的全光极化性质作了最基本的表征.研究了倍频光吸收对薄膜光极化效率的影响,讨论了偶氮聚合物材料光诱导二阶非线性极化率的效率和倍频光透射率之间的折衷关系,这对实用化的全光器件的研制是至关重要的.实验确证了在PCN6薄膜中实现了准相位匹配.对厚膜中光诱导二阶非线性极化率的弛豫抑制效应作出解释. 相似文献

The deformation and fracture behavior under uniaxial tension was characterized for P(VDF‐TrFE) 68/32 mol % copolymer films prepared under two different processing conditions. It was found that the copolymer films prepared by solution casting and then annealing show a typical polymeric brittle fracture feature. For the copolymer films prepared by stretching the solution‐cast films and then annealing process, a typical linearly strengthening stage occurs in the stress–strain curve after yielding, and the polymer film samples fracture at a much larger maximum strain and a higher tensile strength than those prepared by the former process. SEM observation and XRD analysis were carried out to examine the morphology and microstructure change during uniaxial tension. The results show that for the stretched film samples, the polymer chains undergo slipping or further reorientation during uniaxial tension, causing the increase of the peak intensity in the X‐ray diffraction pattern. For the directly annealed ones, no yielding phenomenon is observed and there is no apparent X‐ray diffraction intensity change. It was suggested that the highly‐oriented fibril structure of the stretched film samples contributes to the linearly strengthening stage after yielding in the stress–strain curve. © 2005 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. This research aims to develop a time‐dependent pseudospectral‐finite difference scheme for solving a 3D dual‐phase‐lagging heat transport equation in a submicroscale thin film. The scheme uses periodic pseudospectral discretization in space and a fully second‐order finite difference discretization in time. The three consecutive time steps model is then solved explicitly, by using a preconditioned conjugate gradient method. The scheme is illustrated by an example which is used to investigate the heat transfer in a gold submicroscale thin film. Lamellar morphology and thickness of syndiotactic polystyrene (sPS) samples melt‐crystallized at various temperatures were probed using transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and small‐angle X‐ray scattering (SAXS). In addition, the melting temperature and enthalpy of the crystallized samples were characterized with differential scanning calorimetry. Under appropriate thermal treatments, all the samples investigated in this study were crystallized into β′ crystal modification, as revealed by wide‐angle X‐ray diffraction. From the SAXS intensity profiles, a scattering peak (or shoulder) associated with lamellar features as well as the presence of anomalous scattering at the zero‐scattering vector were evidently observed. The peculiar zero‐angle scattering was successfully described by the Debye–Bueche model, and subtraction of its contribution from the raw intensity profiles was carried out to deduce the intensity profile merely associated with the lamellar feature. The lamellar thickness obtained from Lorentz‐corrected intensity profiles in this manner agrees with that measured from the TEM images, provided that the two‐phase model is applied. On the basis of the Gibbs–Thomson equation, the modest estimations of equilibrium melting temperature and the surface free energy of the fold lamellar surface are 292.7 ± 2.7 °C and 20.2 ± 2.6 erg/cm2, respectively, when lamellar thicknesses measured by TEM are applied. © 2002 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
