ATP binding, acting as a gate, plays an important role in kinesin stepping. To understand the physical mechanism of the ATP gate, we propose a Kramers-type elastic ratchet model in which the free head undergoes a biased diffusive search. By first passage time analysis, we investigate the dependence of the mean dwell time on the load force for forward steps of kinesin and find that the forward dwell time varies exponentially with the backward load force which is consistent with the data of Carter and Cross, Nature 435 (2005) 308. Our work suggests that the gating mechanism triggered by ATP binding involves both Kramers-type elastic ratchet mechanism and power stroke movement.  相似文献

First-passage failure of a classical business cycle model subject to time-delayed feedback control and wide-band random excitation is investigated in this paper. First, we get the averaged equation by using a stochastic averaging method, and then a backward Kolmogorov equation governing the conditional reliability function and a set of generalized Pontryagin equations governing the conditional moments of first-passage time are established. The conditional reliability function, the conditional probability density and moments of first-passage time are obtained by solving the backward Kolmogorov equation and generalized Pontryagin equations analytically and numerically with suitable initial and boundary conditions. The results show that time delay in the feedback control forces may remarkably reduce the conditional reliability and the mean first-passage time of the controlled economics system.  相似文献

Consider a compact Kähler manifold endowed with a prequantum bundle. Following the geometric quantization scheme, the associated quantum spaces are the spaces of holomorphic sections of the tensor powers of the prequantum bundle. In this paper we construct an asymptotic representation of the prequantum bundle automorphism group in these quantum spaces. We estimate the characters of these representations under some transversality assumption. The formula obtained generalizes in some sense the Lefschetz fixed point formula for the automorphisms of the prequantum bundle preserving its holomorphic structure. Our results will be applied in two forthcoming papers to the quantum representation of the mapping class group.  相似文献

This paper deals with the numerical resolution of the Vlasov–Poisson system in a nearly quasineutral regime by Particle-In-Cell (PIC) methods. In this regime, Classical PIC methods are subject to stability constraints on the time and space steps related to the small Debye length and large plasma frequency. Here, we propose an “Asymptotic-Preserving” PIC scheme which is not subjected to these limitations. Additionally, when the plasma period and Debye length are small compared to the time and space steps, this method provides a consistent PIC discretization of the quasineutral Vlasov equation. We perform several one-dimensional numerical experiments which provide a solid validation of the method and its underlying concepts, and compare the method with Classical PIC and Direct-Implicit methods.  相似文献

We discuss a novel minimal model for binocular rivalry (and more generally perceptual dominance) effects. The model has only three state variables, but nonetheless exhibits a wide range of input and noise-dependent switching. The model has two reciprocally inhibiting input variables that represent perceptual processes active during the recognition of one of the two possible states and a third variable that represents the perceived output. Sensory inputs only affect the input variables.We observe, for rivalry-inducing inputs, the appearance of winnerless competition in the perceptual system. This gives rise to a behaviour that conforms to well-known principles describing binocular rivalry (the Levelt propositions, in particular proposition IV: monotonic response of residence time as a function of image contrast) down to very low levels of stimulus intensity.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider the combined quasineutral and low Mach number limit of compressible Euler–Poisson system coupled to a magnetic field. We prove that, as the Debye length and the Mach number tend to zero simultaneously in some way, the solution of compressible Euler–Poisson system coupled to a magnetic field will converge to that of ideal incompressible magnetohydrodynamic equations with a sharp convergence rate.  相似文献

The number of limit cycles for three dimensional Lotka–Volterra systems is an open problem. Recently, Yu et al. (2016) constructed some examples with the possibility of the existence of four limit cycles. Unfortunately, multiple limit cycles are not visible by numerical simulations, because all of them are very close to the interior equilibrium and extremely small. We present a concrete example with multiple limit cycles for three dimensional Lotka–Volterra systems which we can confirm them by numerical simulations. First we prepare the modified formula to compute coefficients of the normal form for the generalized Hopf bifurcation. Applying this formula to three dimensional Lotka–Volterra competitive systems with the aid of the computer algebra system, we derive the critical parameter values explicitly such that the interior equilibrium is exactly an unstable weak focus. Also we show that the heteroclinic cycle on the boundary of R+3 is repelling. This implies that there exists a stable limit cycle by the Poincare–Bendixson theorem. Then, adding some suitable perturbations to parameters, we generate additional two limit cycles near the interior equilibrium by the generalized Hopf bifurcation. Finally we confirm that there exist three limit cycles by numerical simulations.  相似文献

We consider the regularized short‐pulse equation, which contains nonlinear dispersive effects. We prove that as the diffusion parameter tends to zero, the solutions of the dispersive equation converge to discontinuous weak solutions of the short‐pulse one. The proof relies on deriving suitable a priori estimates together with an application of the compensated compactness method in the setting.  相似文献

In this paper, we establish the existence of the global weak solutions for the nonhomogeneous incompressible magnetohydrodynamic equations with Navier boundary conditions for the velocity field and the magnetic field in a bounded domain ? ? R3. Furthermore,we prove that as the viscosity and resistivity coefficients go to zero simultaneously, these weak solutions converge to the strong one of the ideal nonhomogeneous incompressible magnetohydrodynamic equations in energy space.  相似文献
