ABSTRACT

The side-wind loading on a simplified train model at scale 1:25 is investigated by parallel large eddy simulation (LES) with incompressible solvers from the OpenFOAM package and a novel dynamically adaptive, parallel LES-type lattice Boltzmann method (LBM) implemented in our own AMROC framework. It is found that the new LBM code provides more accurate time-averaged force predictions, while compute times are reduced.  相似文献

As a type of shock-capturing scheme, the traditional Roe scheme fails in large eddy simulation (LES) because it cannot reproduce important turbulent characteristics, such as the famous k?5/3 spectral law, as a consequence of the large numerical dissipation. In this work, the Roe scheme is divided into five parts, namely, ξ, δUp, δpp, δUu, and δpu, which denote basic upwind dissipation, pressure difference-driven modification of interface fluxes, pressure difference-driven modification of pressure, velocity difference-driven modification of interface fluxes, and velocity difference-driven modification of pressure, respectively. Then, the role of each part in the LES of homogeneous decaying turbulence with a low Mach number is investigated. Results show that the parts δUu, δpp, and δUp have little effect on LES. Such minimal effect is integral to computational stability, especially for δUp. The large numerical dissipation is due to ξ and δpu, each of which features a larger dissipation than the sub-grid scale model. On the basis of these conditions, an improved all-speed Roe scheme for LES is proposed. This scheme can provide satisfactory LES results even for coarse grid resolutions with usually adopted second-order reconstructions for the finite volume method.  相似文献

A random two-dimensional large scale nano-network of silver nanowires(Ag-NWs) is fabricated by MeV hydrogen(H~+) ion beam irradiation. Ag-NWs are irradiated under H~+ion beam at different ion fluences at room temperature. The Ag-NW network is fabricated by H~+ion beam-induced welding of Ag-NWs at intersecting positions. H~+ion beam induced welding is confirmed by transmission electron microscopy(TEM) and scanning electron microscopy(SEM). Moreover, the structure of Ag NWs remains stable under H~+ion beam, and networks are optically transparent. Morphology also remains stable under H~+ion beam irradiation. No slicings or cuttings of Ag-NWs are observed under MeV H~+ion beam irradiation.The results exhibit that the formation of Ag-NW network proceeds through three steps: ion beam induced thermal spikes lead to the local heating of Ag-NWs, the formation of simple junctions on small scale, and the formation of a large scale network. This observation is useful for using Ag-NWs based devices in upper space where protons are abandoned in an energy range from MeV to GeV. This high-quality Ag-NW network can also be used as a transparent electrode for optoelectronics devices.  相似文献

Large diamonds have successfully been synthesized from FeNiMnCo-S-C system at temperatures of 1255-1393 ℃and pressures of 5.3-5.5 GPa.Because of the presence of sulfur additive,the morphology and color of the large diamond crystals change obviously.The content and shape of inclusions change with increasing sulfur additive.It is found that the pressure and temperature conditions required for the synthesis decrease to some extent with the increase of S additive,which results in left down of the V-shape region.The Raman spectra show that the introduction of additive sulfur reduces the quality of the large diamond crystals.The x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS) spectra show the presence of S in the diamonds.Furthermore,the electrical properties of the large diamond crystals are tested by a four-point probe and the Hall effect method.When sulfur in the cell of diamond is up to 4.0 wt.%,the resistance of the diamond is 9.628×10~5 Ω·cm.It is shown that the large single crystal samples are n type semiconductors.This work is helpful for the further research and application of sulfur-doped semiconductor large diamond.  相似文献

The structural deformation induced by intense laser field of liquid nitrobenzene(NB) molecule,a typical molecule with restricting internal rotation,is tracked by time- and frequency-resolved coherent anti-Stokes.Raman spectroscopy(CARS) technique with an intense pump laser.The CARS spectra of liquid NB show that the NO_2 torsional mode couples with the NO_2 symmetric stretching mode,and the NB molecule undergoes ultrafast structural deformation with a relaxation time of 265 fs.The frequency of NO_2 torsional mode in liquid NB(42 cm~(-1)) at room temperature is found from the sum and difference combination bands involving the NO_2 symmetric stretching mode and torsional mode in time- and frequency-resolved CARS spectra.  相似文献

The linear operator plays an important role in the computational process of Homotopy Analysis Method (HAM). In HAM frame any kind of linear operator can be chosen to develop a solution. Hence, it is easy to introduce the modified/physical parameter dependent linear operators. The effective use of these operators has been judged through solving fluid flow problems. Modification in linear operators affects the solution and improves the computational efficiency of HAM for larger values of parameters. The convergence rate of the solution is rapid and several times higher resulting in less computational time.  相似文献

冲击载荷作用下边界条件对方板的毁伤破坏具有很大影响。利用落锤试验机开展了不同边界支撑下固支方板的冲击试验,为获取固支方板边界撕裂的典型破坏模式,专门设计加工了与固支方板尺寸相当的冲击锤头和可改变倒角的方板支撑框架。研究结果表明:(1)冲击载荷作用下,固支方板呈现出塑性大变形、单边撕裂、双边撕裂等典型破坏模式,倒角越小,方板越容易撕裂;(2)边界支撑对固支方板中心位移、整体变形轮廓影响较小,但对方板的撕裂长度、临界撕裂阈值存在较大影响;(3)不同边界支撑主要改变方板边界处的剪切应变,边界支撑倒角越小,剪切效果越明显,方板边界临界撕裂应变位于[0.191,0.241]区间。  相似文献

We propose a novel high-performance digital optical sensor based on the Mach-Zehnder interferential effect and the dual-microring resonators with the waveguide-coupled feedback. The simulation results show that the sensitivity of the sensor can be orders of magnitude higher than that of aconventional sensor, and high quality factor is not critical in it. Moreover, by optimizing the length of the feedback waveguide to be equal to the perimeter of the ring, the measurement range of the proposed sensor is twice as much as that of the conventional sensor in the weak coupling case.  相似文献

We study the motion of a spiral wave controlled by a local periodic forcing imposed on a region around the spiral tip in an excitable medium. Three types of trajectories of spiral tip are observed: the epicycloid-like meandering, the resonant drift, and the hypocycloid-like meandering. The frequency of the spiral is sensitive to the local periodic forcing. The dependency of spiral frequency on the amplitude and size of local periodic forcing are presented. In addition, we show how the drift speed and direction are adjusted by the amplitude and phase of local periodic forcing, which is consistent with a theoretical analysis based on the weak deformation approximation.  相似文献
