Macroscopic Determinism in Noninteracting Systems Using Large Deviation Theory

We consider a general system of n noninteracting identical particles which evolve under a given dynamical law and whose initial microstates are a priori independent. The time evolution of the n-particle average of a bounded function on the particle microstates is then examined in the large-n limit. Using the theory of large deviations, we show that if the initial macroscopic average is constrained to be near a given value, y, then the macroscopic average at time t converges in probability as n to a value _t(y) given explicitly in terms of a canonical expectation. Some general features of the graph of _t(y) versus t are examined, particularly in regard to continuity, symmetry, and convergence.     

Quantum n-Vector Anharmonic Crystal II: Displacement Fluctuations

Based on the 1/n-expansion derived in a previous paper, the displacement fluctuations are analyzed in a quantum n-vector model of anharmonic crystal in the large n regime. It is shown that in the ferroelectric phase the n limit of the local fluctuation field has faster large-distance correlation decay than its Hartree–Fock approximation. Also, the critical exponent of the global displacement fluctuation is strictly smaller there than the Hartree–Fock exponent. In particular, the displacement fluctuations may be normal in the ferroelectric phase in spite of the Hartree–Fock prediction.     

Continuous-flow optical pumping NMR in a closed circuit system

In a typical continuous-flow optical pumping setup, the chemical shift of xenon in the adsorbed phase depends on the gas flow rate due to warming of the sample surface by the gas stream. Calibration of the system using the (207)Pb resonance of solid lead nitrate is necessary to determine the actual sample temperature. Optimum pulse repetition rates are strongly affected by gas flow and spin-lattice relaxation rates. The interplay of flow and pulse repetition rate alters signal intensity ratios and may lead to the complete suppression of signals.     

偏置调幅波调制噪声的单模激光随机共振

采用偏置信号的调幅波调制抽运噪声的单模激光增益模型，用线性化近似方法计算了以e指数形式关联的两色噪声驱动下光强的功率谱及信噪比.结果表明，信噪比随着噪声强度的变化、抽运噪声自关联时间的变化、激光系统参数的变化、载波频率及信号频率的变化均存在随机共振现象. 关键词： 抽运噪声 单模激光 随机共振 调幅波     

冰洲石-玻璃组合平行分束偏光镜的设计研究

为了既节省稀有昂贵的冰洲石晶体材料，又实现偏振光的大剪切差输出，采用冰洲石晶体与光学玻璃组合的方法，设计了一种新型平行分束偏光镜。该棱镜的前后半块分别为ZBaF₃玻璃和冰洲石晶体，由大折射率液态胶合剂溴代萘胶合而成。实验测试表明：该棱镜透射的2束平行光的消光比，o光可达10^－5；尽管受到光学玻璃的影响，e光的消光比仍优于10^－3；透射比均与纯冰洲石晶体材料的棱镜基本相当。理论分析表明：该棱镜自身结构带来的性能影响在一定情况下完全可以忽略，因此具有较好的应用前景。     

瓶颈开口角对二维颗粒流的影响

实验研究了平面传送带上颗粒流的特性，主要包括传送带出口处开口宽度以及瓶颈开口角度对颗粒流的影响.实验结果发现，改变瓶颈开口角度θ，当θ大于15°时，颗粒流量Q随着cosθ呈线性变化.同时，颗粒流量Q与传送带速度v以及开口大小R也密切相关，而在θ小于15°时，颗粒流量Q基本不随开口角度变化.     

车辆的长度和速度对单车道混合交通流的影响

在NaSch交通流模型的基础上，建立了单车道上由两种长度不一样、可分别以不同最大速度行驶的车辆构成的混合交通流模型.在周期性边界条件下，通过计算机模拟研究了车辆的长度、最大速度和混合比例系数对混合交通流的影响. 关键词： 元胞自动机 混合交通流 计算机模拟     

远场来流对过冷熔体中球状晶体生长的影响

利用渐近分析方法研究了远场来流引起的对流对过冷熔体中球状晶体的生长形态的影响.结果表明,由远场来流导致的对流使得正在生长的球状晶体的界面在向着来流的前部朝来流方向相反的方向生长, 并且提高了朝来流的相反方向的生长速度, 在背风方向衰减；正在衰减的球状晶体的界面在向着来流的前部加速衰减, 在背风方向减缓衰减. 关键词： 球状晶体 远场来流 对流 界画形态
