The hypersonic flow past the nose of a spherical body containing current sources generating a magnetic field is investigated theoretically and numerically. The magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) flow is analyzed on the basis of the complete system of Navier-Stokes equations containing the force and thermal MHD terms and the electrodynamic equations. Local and integral thermal and aerodynamic characteristics of the body are found. It is shown that the presence of a magnetic field makes it possible to reduce the heat flow to the body in the neighborhood of the stagnation point by several times. An experimental study was conducted on shock wave turbulent boundary layer interactions caused by a blunt swept fin-plate
configuration at Mach numbers of 5.0, 7.8, 9.9 for a Reynolds number range of (1.0∼4.7)×107/m. Detailed heat transfer and pressure distributions were measured at fin deflection angles of up to 30° for a sweepback
angle of 67.6°. Surface oil flow patterns and liquid crystal thermograms as well as schlieren pictures of fin shock shape
were taken. The study shows that the flow was separated at deflection of 10° and secondary separation were detected at deflection
of ϑ≥20°. The heat transfer and pressure distributions on flat plate showed an extensive plateau region followed by a distinct
dip and local peak close to the fin foot. Measurements of the plateau pressure and heat transfer were in good agreement with
existing prediction methods, but pressure and heating peak measurements atM≥6 were significantly lower than predicted by the simple prediction techniques at lower Mach numbers.

African swine fever virus (ASFV) is one of the most dangerous viruses for pigs and is endemic in Africa but recently also spread into the Russian Federation and the Eastern border of the EU. So far there is no vaccine or antiviral drug available to curtail the infection. Thus, control strategies based on novel inhibitors are urgently needed. Another highly relevant virus infection in pigs is Aujeszky's disease caused by the alphaherpesvirus pseudorabies virus (PrV). This article reports the synthesis and biological evaluation of novel extracellular matrix‐inspired entry inhibitors based on polyglycerol sulfate‐functionalized graphene sheets. The developed 2D architectures bind enveloped viruses during the adhesion process and thereby exhibit strong inhibitory effects, which are equal or better than the common standards enrofloxacin and heparin as demonstrated for ASFV and PrV. Overall, the developed polyvalent 2D entry inhibitors are nontoxic and efficient nanoarchitectures, which interact with various types of enveloped viruses. Therefore they prevent viral adhesion to the host cell and especially target viruses that rely on a heparan sulfate‐dependent cell entry mechanism.

Regime diagram of the development of long-wave near-wall disturbances in a hypersonic boundary layer
A regime diagram of the development of slow near-wall disturbances induced by an unsteady self-induced pressure perturbation in a hypersonic boundary layer is constructed for a disturbance wavelength greater than the boundary layer thickness. It is shown that the main factors shaping the perturbed flow are the gas enthalpy near the body surface, the intensity of the viscous-inviscid interaction, and the nature (sub- or supersonic) of the main part of the boundary layer. Nonlinear boundary-value problems are formulated for regimes in which the near-wall boundary layer region plays a decisive role. Numerical and analytical solutions are obtained in the linear approximation. It is shown that intensification of the viscous-inviscid interaction or an increase in the role of the supersonic main region of the boundary layer impart generally supersonic properties to the main part of the boundary layer, i.e. the upstream propagation of the disturbances is damped and the disturbance growth downstream becomes more intense. Damping of the viscous-inviscid interaction and an increase in the role of the subsonic main part of the boundary layer have the opposite effect. Surface cooling increases the effect of the main part of the boundary layer on the formation of pressure disturbances and surface heating leads to an increase in the effect of the near-wall boundary layer region. Hypersonic three-dimensional viscous rarefied gas flow past blunt bodies is investigated in the neighborhood of the stagnation point. The problem of applicability of the model of a thin viscous shock layer to the regime of transition from continuum to free-molecular flow is considered. In [1], it was shown that at low Reynolds numbers three hypersonic flow regimes can be distinguished and one of those regimes was investigated. In the present study an asymptotic solution of the thin viscous shock layer equations is obtained for another flow regime. With decrease in the Reynolds number the heat transfer coefficient determined by the solution obtained approaches its free-molecular value and the friction coefficient approaches its free-molecular limit, provided that the shock layer thickness is small. The analytical solution is compared with a numerical solution and the results of calculations based on direct Monte Carlo simulation. 相似文献

About a decade after its foundation, the most advanced ballistics laboratory in Germany at the time, the Kruppsche Schiessplatz, was utilized by Ernst Mach in 1888. His intent was to validate his pioneering shock wave research using military shells as supersonic vehicles. The 125th anniversary of the Schiessplatz was celebrated in 2002. Along with Machs research, it served to initiate the field of supersonic transportation technology. The specific subject of this paper is the application of point-source spark shadowgraphy at the same laboratory in the 1970s to visualize gas flow over aeroballistic projectiles. However, different from Machs original interest, the new purpose of spark photography at that time in the ballistic ranges of the German Bundeswehr was to find technical solutions to aeroballistic problems when field-testing gave incomplete answers. The supersonic flow of a monatomic gas consisting of hard spherical particles past a flat strip normal to the flow is investigated using the direct simulation Monte-Carlo (DSMC) method. The calculations are performed over the Knudsen and Mach number ranges 0.015–5 and 1.8–15, respectively. The structure of the compressed layer and the aerodynamic characteristics are systematically studied for the Mach number 5 and various Knudsen numbers. The dependences of the compressed-layer thickness in molecular free paths are found.
