The trifunctional ligand, 2,6-bis(diphenylphosphorylmethyl)-4-methylphenol (L 2), forms complexes with cerium(III) nitrate having a ligand to metal ratio of 1: 1, 2: 1, and 3: 1. The structures of these complexes in the solid state and in solution were studied by X-ray diffraction, IR and NMR (1H and 31P) spectroscopy, and conformational analysis (molecular mechanics). The 2: 1 complexes of L 2 with lanthanum(III) and neodymium(III) nitrates were synthesized and characterized. In all complexes, the neutral ligand is coordinated through both phosphoryl oxygen atoms. The hydroxy oxygen atom is coordinated only in some complexes, and the hydrogen atom of the hydroxy group is involved in hydrogen bonding. The compositions and structures of the resulting complexes depend on the method of synthesis and the nature of solvent. The ligand was found to undergo easy inner-sphere oxidation. The structure of one of the transformation products was established by X-ray diffraction. Unlike the coordinated ligand, the free ligand is very stable to oxidation. The anodic oxidation of the carbon felt Carbonetcalon results in the formation of surface defects which serve as centers of strong adsorption of PdII, NiII, and CuII ions. The electrochemical reduction of adsorbed ions makes it possible to obtain metallic catalysts, which undergo multiple redox cycles without loss of metal. The catalysts are characterized by high dispersity of the reduced phase, high adsorption capacity with respect to hydrogen, and 100% selectivity in hydrogenation of acetophenone. By counterpoise‐corrected optimization method, the interactions of BrCl with the first‐row hydrides (HF, H2O, NH3) have been investigated at the MP2/6–311++G(3d,3p) level. To understand that the X? Br‐type (X = F, O, N) structure is more stable than the corresponding hydrogen‐bonded structure in these complexes, the electronic properties were also investigated. Symmetry‐adapted perturbation theory (SAPT) analysis has been carried out to understand the nature of the weak hydrogen bond and X? Br‐type interactions. On the other hand, for the weak hydrogen‐bonded complexes and the X? Br‐type complexes charges transfer is well correlated with the total induction energies. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The adsorption of neutral glycine onto amorphous silica was investigated both theoretically and experimentally. DFT calculations were performed at the BLYP-631++G** level using a cluster approach. Several possible configurations involving the formation of H bonds between glycine and one, two, or three silanol groups (SiOH) were considered. The most favorable bonding of glycine with one silanol group (45 kJ mol(-1)) occurs through the COOH moiety, thus forming a cycle in which the CO group is an H-bond acceptor whereas the acidic OH group is an H-bond donor. With two or three silanol groups, additional H bonds are formed between the amine moiety and the silanol groups, which leads to an increased adsorption energy (70 and 80 kJ mol(-1) for two and three silanol groups, respectively). Calculated nu(CO), delta(HNH), and delta(HCH) values are sensitive to the adsorption mode. A bathochromic shift of nu(CO) as compared to the nu(CO) of free glycine (calculated in the 1755-1790 cm(-1) range) is found for glycine in interaction with silanol(s). The more H bonds are formed between the COOH moiety and silanol groups, the higher the bathochromic shift. For delta(HNH), no shift is found for glycine adsorbed on one and two silanol groups (where the amine is either not bound or an H-bond donor), whereas a bathochromic shift is calculated with three silanols when the amine moiety is an H-bond acceptor. Experimental FTIR spectra performed at room temperature for glycine adsorbed at 160 degrees C on Aerosil amorphous silica exhibit bands at 1371, 1423, 1630, and 1699 cm(-1). The experimental/calculated frequencies have their best correspondence for glycine adsorbed on two silanol groups. It is important to note that the forms giving the best correspondence to experimental frequencies are the most stable ones.  相似文献

Using a group of six neutral M(II)Cl(2)-containing coordination compounds as building blocks, the first systematic investigation of C-H...Cl hydrogen-bonding interactions was performed. Single-crystal X-ray structural analyses of four new compounds (pseudo-tetrahedral Co(II) and Zn(II); distorted trigonal bipyramidal Zn(II)) authenticate the metal coordination geometry. To provide a unified view of the presence of noncovalent interactions in this class of compounds, we have re-examined the packing diagram of two previously reported compounds (a distorted square-pyramidal Cu(II) complex and a trans-octahedral Co(II) complex). The organic ligands of our choice comprise bidentate/tridentate pyrazolylmethylpyridines and an unsymmetrical tridentate pyridylalkylamine. This systematic investigation has allowed us to demonstrate the existence of versatile C-H...Cl(2)M interactions and to report the successful application of such units as inorganic supramolecular synthons. Additional noncovalent interactions such as C-H...O and O-H...Cl hydrogen bonding and pi-pi stacking interactions have also been identified. Formation of novel supramolecular architectures has been revealed: 2D lamellar (p-cyclophane) and 3D lamellar, 3D "stitched staircase" (due to additional hydrogen-bonding interactions by water tetramers, with an average O-O bond length in the tetramer unit of 2.926 A, acting as "molecular clips" between staircases), 3D linked ladder, and single-stranded 1D helix.  相似文献

A novel receptor possessing two complexation sites and bearing 1,3-alternate conformation based on thiacalix[4]arene, confirmed by single crystal X-ray analysis, was prepared. The tetrathiacalix[4]arene diamide shows strong intramolecular hydrogen bonding. The binding behavior towards K+ and halides has been examined by 1H NMR titration experiments.  相似文献

The superstructure and properties of polymers might be improved and enhanced througl intermolecular complexation. In this paper, the preparation, structure and properties of P(MMA-MAA)/PEO intermolecular complex through hydrogen bonding are studied. By acid hydrolysis of PMMA, a series of P(MMA-MAA) copolymers have been prepared, the MAA content of which depends on the temperature and time of hydrolyzation. In case the MAA content in P(MMA-MAA) is beyond 0.4 mole fraction, the hydrogen bonding between P(MMA-MAA) and PEO is strong enough to form intermolecular complex. The supermolecular structure of the complex is quite different from that of its constituent, which was observed by an X-ray diffraction and transmission electron microscope. The crystallization of PEO is confined owing to complexation. The complex exhibits quite a lot of good properties in thermal stability, gas permeability as well as mechanical strength, and could be used in many fields.  相似文献

Highly efficient kinetic resolution of racemic secondary alkyl diazoacetates in intramolecular carbon-hydrogen insertion reactions has been achieved using chiral dirhodium(ii) carboxamidates. Products formed from catalytic diazo decomposition of racemic 2-octyl diazoacetate and, separately, its (2R)- and (2S)-enantiomeric forms, as well as bothcis- andtrans-2-methylcyclohexyl diazoacetates, have been systematically evaluated. Enantioselectivities up to 99 %ee have been obtained for -lactone formation. -Lactone production has been observed and, although minor with cyclohexyl diazoacetates, is the major insertion pathway for diazo decomposition of 2-octyl diazoacetate.Dedicated to Academician of the RAS N.
