Based on density functional calculations within both standard generalized gradient approximation and plus on-site Coulomb interactions approaches, we have investigated the electronic structure and magnetic properties of the first-row element-doped CuCl semiconductors. The electronic correlations in both 2p and 3d orbitals are enhanced by adding the on-site Coulomb repulsion (Hubbard U and Hund exchange J). After a comparative study, we find that, for both standard and beyond approaches, B-doped CuCl is a half-metallic magnet with majority-spin impurity bands touching the Fermi level, C-doped CuCl is a magnetic semiconductor, and N-doped CuCl is a half-metallic magnet with minority-spin impurity bands crossing the Fermi level. Nevertheless, for O-doped CuCl, it transforms from a nonmagnetic semiconductor to a half-metallic magnet with metallic up-spins by considering the correlation effects. The calculation shows that the enhanced electronic correlation not only corrects the error of band-gap, but also influences the magnetic ground state and the distribution of local magnetic moments. The location of impurity bands with different dopants was understood based on the elements' electronegativity and interaction between dopant and host atoms. Strong hybridization between the dopant's 2p states and the filled 3d orbitals of adjacent Cu yields the main contribution to magnetization. 相似文献

In spectral-like resolution-WENO hybrid schemes,if the switch function takes more grid points as discontinuity points,the WENO scheme is often turned on,and the numerical solutions may be too dissipative.Conversely,if the switch function takes less grid points as discontinuity points,the hybrid schemes usually are found to produce oscillatory solutions or just to be unstable.Even if the switch function takes less grid points as discontinuity points,the final hybrid scheme is inclined to be more stable,provided the spectral-like resolution scheme in the hybrid scheme has moderate shock-capturing capability.Following this idea,we propose nonlinear spectral-like schemes named weighted group velocity control(WGVC)schemes.These schemes show not only high-resolution for short waves but also moderate shock capturing capability.Then a new class of hybrid schemes is designed in which the WGVC scheme is used in smooth regions and the WENO scheme is used to capture discontinuities.These hybrid schemes show good resolution for small-scales structures and fine shock-capturing capabilities while the switch function takes less grid points as discontinuity points.The seven-order WGVC-WENO scheme has also been applied successfully to the direct numerical simulation of oblique shock wave-turbulent boundary layer interaction. 相似文献

Nanostructured Pr8Fe86−xVxB6−yCy (x=0, 1; y=0, 1) ribbons composed of Pr2Fe14B and α-Fe phases with a high coercivity are fabricated by direct melt spinning. The effects of a single addition of V and a combined addition of V and C on the structures and magnetic properties of melt-spun Pr8Fe86VB6−xCx (x=0 and 1) ribbons have been investigated. Compared with addition-free ribbons, 1 at% V addition is found to reduce the grain sizes of the samples and improve their magnetic properties due to a strong exchange coupling between the hard and the soft phase. A remanence ratio of 0.82, a coercive field of 6.2 kOe and a maximum energy product of 23.4 MGOe in melt-spun Pr8Fe85VB6 ribbons are obtained at room temperature. The combined addition of V and C is found to lead to the formation of an intermediate phase of VC at grain boundaries, which appears as a pinning barrier during magnetization and results in an increase of the coercivity value to 6.9 kOe for melt-spun Pr8Fe85VB5C ribbons. 相似文献

We fabricate inverted organic/inorganic hybrid solar cells based on vertically oriented ZnO nanorods and polymer MEH-PPV. Highly birefringent dual-core photonic crystal fibers (PCFs) can be used as a polarization splitter because the orthogonal polarization modes with dissimilar coupling lengths are easily separated from each other. Different from the traditional methods achieving high birefringence, a new highly birefringent hybrid PCF that guides light by both index guiding and bandgap guiding is proposed. Firstly, a novel polarization splitter based on this kind of dual-core hybrid PCF is designed. The transmission modes, coupling lengths for the two orthogonal polarizations and performance of the proposed polarization splitter are investigated and numerically analyzed. The results demonstrate that it is possible to obtain a 4.72-mm-long polarization splitter. The splitting ratio is better than −20 dB in a large wavelength range of 1.53-1.72 μm.
